Before I could use the dryer, he told me I needed to have my ducts cleaned first. I had the ducts cleaned that Saturday, but when I went to use the dryer afterward, it still wouldn't get hot. This was surprising since he had assured me it would work properly once the ducts were cleaned. I contacted him again, and he came back out. This time, he said the issue was the heating element. He claimed that when he checked the dryer during his first visit, the heating element was fine. Now, suddenly, I needed a new heating element, which would have been an additional $100. At that point, I refused the service and told him to leave it as is, especially since I had already paid $210, which included a $75 inspection fee. I don't understand how the heating element issue was missed during the original inspection. As a woman, I can't help but feel taken advantage of in this situation. Please make sure to ask questions and pay close attention if you use his services, so you don't end up losing money the way I did.
