Goo0d workmanship but be sure to get a written estimate before having work done. Handshake "estimate" was 50% higher than final bill.

Bouma Truck Sales - Commercial Truck Sales

    Bouma Truck Sales

I have purchased several used trucks over the years and to say this was my worst experience with a…read moredealer would be an understatement. Avoid this company at all costs! They do not stand behind any equipment they sell. I purchased a truck from them in January of this year and we have had nothing but problems from the very beginning. The owner, Chris is very proud that they inspect and go through each truck thoroughly. When the truck was delivered it was 3 gallons low on oil after a 360-mile trip and I brought it to the attention of my salesman, Jeff. He said we would look into it. I heard nothing back. The truck was advertised with no wet kit. We paid Bouma Truck Sales thousands of dollars to install a new wet kit. The truck showed up with a wet kit that had been on it for years and not in working order. When both of these issues were brought up with the owner he said they probably forgot to top off the oil before it left. He also said that the wet kit install was a miscommunication with his mechanic. After further inspection the air filter had not be replaced in a long time. This is after he tells me that they thoroughly inspect each truck before it leaves their yard. After driving the truck for less than 3,000-miles the turbo went out. I can live with that as it is a used truck. But less than 500 miles later my company mechanic and an outside mechanic shop tell me that the truck will need an in-frame rebuild. This truck was falsely advertised in good working order and they knew it had an engine issue when they sold it to me. I have left several messages each week for the last few months for Chris to call me back. He never does. The few times that I have spoken with him he needs a few days on how to fix it. He has not called me in over 3 months even though I leave several messages a week and have been sending emails for him to call me. I paid $70k for a truck that now needs $20k in repairs. To top it off the owner Chris did agree to refund some of my money due to the repairs and it has been over a month and I have yet to receive any payment. I have sent several emails, left several voicemails and left messages with employees and Chris has yet to call me back.

Sometimes a bit problematic, but that's a good sign! They're worth scheduling and waiting for. 2) I plan to drive this rig another 50-150,000 miles and these are the guys to see me through. I had taken my 4Runner into Carnahans and told them I wanted the entire coolant system gone through and changed unless it looked like it was performing like new. Radiator, hoses, hose clips, water pump, thermostat, timing belt, flywheels, I said everything. They came back saying everything was good except the water pump and thermostat. After they did that the heater core needed changing, no problem, that's what it needs. After they do what they do they call me at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon to pick it up. I do and drive it three blocks away and park it for a few hours. As soon as I start it up it starts pouring out all the coolant so I'm stranded outside after work in the -5 degree weather with my vehicle that had just spent two weeks in the shop. Called Monday morning at 8 and they said they can't get me in but if they get a cancellation they'll give me a call. This company clearly did not want my business. They were not willing to fix the issues their work caused. Will update if/when I hear from them.
