Her real life experience as Chico Fire Fighter, school health aid and mother of very competitive athletes made it possible for her to teach us how to handle real life's extraordinary circumstances. I felt like she taught us how to know when and how to help, and how to communicate with injured people and other people who are involved or also trying to help. Recently I came upon a situation. A man was unconscious lying in a pool of water. He'd been assaulted and had hit his head and injured his back and ribs. There was a crowd of people around him, some of whom were trying to move him out of the puddle. I thought everyone knew not to move an injured person unless they were in danger. Anyway, I was so glad to have the knowledge and confidence to know how to help and how to communicate and work with other people who were trying to help. I asked if anyone else had CPR or first aid training. I was surprised that no one said yes. I asked someone to call 911 (which thankfully had already been done). I was then able to clear a few people away, assess the situation and do what I could for the man until the EMT's arrived. I was glad that I knew what to say to him when he came to, and how to encourage him to stay still and reassure him that help was coming. I hardly did anything, but I was able to stay calm and help keep others calm. I'm certain if I hadn't had Mary's class I would have just been a by-stander wishing I could find away to help the man. After the event had passed I remembered that Mary had given us her number and said that we could call her anytime. I was so glad to be able to call her the next day and just talk about what had happened. It's nice that BEST CPR training doesn't just end when you get your certificate. I fully recommend this company. Everyone should have BEST CPR training!

The certification is of course required and Mary made sure it was not a barrier to caring for children in our community. Her experience made the course come alive and even though we have been certified many times, her real life examples helped these lessons feel far more relevant. I highly recommend Mary's courses!

They have everything you could possibly need and then some. The facility itself is very accommodating with a clean bathroom and a little kitchen area to get yourself water or make tea or coffee! I wish I would've asked for the girl's name at the front desk, but she was extremely nice and helpful. 4 hours truly FLEW by. Tanya was an absolute joy to sit and learn from. Years of experience, a wealth of knowledge, and an awesome sense of humor, I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. She answered everyone's questions with no BS and as fun as you can make CPR, she DID IT. I would recommend this facility to anyone and I would gladly go back.

Watched a few videos & some hands-on demos we had to perform with mannequins. Teaching techniques with CPR from adults to children and how to preform it correctly. First aid covered all types of injuries and how to care for them the proper way. Each student is given a Fist Aid kit to use as a demonstration along with the instructor, the appropriate care for wounds & other hazardous, jeopardous, risky, scenarios. Enjoyed the class, the experience and highly recommend to take it here. Others are offered in the area, but here they seem to go over everything in great detail, answering as many questions as you throw at them and the atmosphere is clean, inviting, relaxed and pleasant.
