During the session, he moved my foot so it hung off the table and placed the crotch of his pants on my foot. I ended the massage early. I was frightened to be alone in the room with him. I reported it to the spa owner by phone the next day and never received a satisfactory response. I also reported it to the police, who investigated; the DA declined to file charges. I have filed a complaint with the state licensing board. I'm sharing my own experience so others can make an informed decision.

She is superb, an artist. Yes, the services are expensive and for me: totally money very well spent. I receive partial highlights about twice a year. Kelly has never attempted to "sell" me on additional services. In fact, she has encouraged me NOT to highlight that often and instructed on the proper method to maintain the highlights. Her expertise in cutting is beyond what I have received in the past: I have had my hair cut in Paris (David Mallett), New York City-(Ric Pipino, Heidi Klum's ex-husband) and in Greenwich Connecticut-just some places and all very high end. The David Witchell salon and Kelly are outstanding and just as good, if not better than I've experienced before. Every cut that I've had (Kelly) grows in so well. The true sign of a great cut is how well your hair looks in the 6th week (yes, I can go that long between cuts!). I am often asked by strangers, where I get my hair done-always a compliment. Regarding the reviews about the front desk-I have not experienced rudeness at all. I note that many of the reviews about front desk attitude, occurred around Covid times, so maybe folks were on edge about that? I give folks the benefit of the doubt and a lot of grace. The salon definitely pays attention to details; covering your bag and the arms of your glasses so they doesn't get hair color on them, using warm towels, offering you a beverage, and putting up the foot of your chair while you are getting your hair shampooed. This salon does a great job with being on time and coordinating appointments. I often book multiple appointments for one visit, which could include up to 4 different stylists. I am very impressed that there has never had a problem with timing being off. The worst case scenario is a 10 minute wait between appointments and they will often the row in a scalp massage or conditioning treatment for the wait. The stylists are very knowledgeable, well-trained and very friendly. I have been to several different stylists for cut and color and have never left there unhappy. The stylists tend to offer their opinion, which I like because they are the experts! When the first started going to Zanya spa I had very dark hair and wanted to go blonde. The stylist was very realistic with me and set me up to achieve what I wanted, over time, without damaging my hair. My hair is the blond that I want and the quality of my hair has not suffered from it! Several stylists at the salon have introduced me to new products that actually work the way they say they are going to! If I had to say anything negative about the salon it is that it is a bit pricey. However, I do feel that the quality of the salon is worth the cost. Zanya did my hair trial, but due to a personal emergency the night before my wedding, the team had to pivot and someone else stepped in to do my hair.
