The dogs themselves tend to be soft, I assume from sitting in hot water all day, but the french fries are cooked to order, yum! Sometimes the lady pulls them out too fast and they're a little blonde, so you'll probably want to ask for them well done, which turns out to be normal-crisp. There's free basic condiments, like ketchup and mustard and relish and onions, and fancy ones you can add on for a nominal cost, which are nice but messy and slippery, as I've experienced first hand. They also offer a few other food items like Italian sausage, chicken fingers, maybe some others but I haven't tried any of those. The kids love stopping here for a quick bite, and the mister and I like the cheap prices. Closing time is 4:30ish, so it's definitely a lunch place, and you can't beat the parking.

My cheeseburger was great, my daughter's tenders were spot on, and - as always - the root beer was amazing. The "retro" decor is a lot of fun. We enjoyed the pictures of the old times and the menu sign from the 1960s. We look forward to returning next year.
