I have been here three times...
April 27th, May 10th and then the last installment May 20th. I came in on a beautiful Wednesday... to get a cleaning and a consultation. I was able to get in fast because of a cancellation. Everything was quick and easy. I was able to get in and out, and make my way to work. My hygienist was Renee and she was very kind and thorough with my teeth cleaning. She told me to keep up the flossing. I was given some samples of toothpaste, toothbrushes, and some healthy gum to chew. The key ingredient is xylitol, which is very healthy ingredient for gums. During my consultation I was told that I needed a root canal and a crown. I agreed since this was not new information to me. When I was a teen, the dentist at that time told me I would need a root canal when I got older. So I made an appointment to come in for the next step.
On May 10th, the next step that was necessary to take, was the root canal. By the way I urge you to take the day off for the root canal, because of the trauma that your roots and gums will go through and the meds, you may get super drowsy, so I suggest getting someone to drive you to your appt. or call an uber/lyft service. Everyone reacts differently. I was having work done on my upper left area, so my left side of my face was numb. It wears off quickly though. Dr. Sutton did an exceptional job on my root canal, the last root was hard to find, and he was determined, after about an hour of searching he found it and snuffed it right out. After the meds wore off, the pain was not so present, it was more like an annoying pain. It would suddenly hurt if I was not careful or shifted weight on the left side. After the root canal, Dr. Sutton filled my tooth with a temporary filling, good only for a couple of weeks.
I scheduled the next step for May 25th, however I did tell Ler (Lerry) at the Front Desk that if some one cancelled to put me on the waitlist!
Third step was probably my favorite visit, (May 20th) because I got to see my crown made right in front of me, it was AMAZING to me that the crown that I was now wearing was made in only 10 minutes and baked for 20 minutes, and now is forever on my tooth... in the same visit. I also got one of my upper left gums medicated and had a filling repaired. Dr. Sutton, is a great dentist. He is precise with his decisions, clear with his information, and he helps you to understand what steps are necessary to take care of your teeth.
Each visit was efficient, I don't think that I had to wait more than five minutes per visit in the waiting room. The waiting room décor is simple, however the front desk staff Ler and Anna make up with talk and laughter. Brittany and Bianca, are both great assistants to Dr. Sutton. There are both friendly and well learned in their dental assisting abilities.
FYI- this is just a tip. Now even thought I have insurance, my employer is a small business, so apparently there was some differences in the billing. Make sure that you ask for a pre authorization, if your insurance is through a small business. However, the amount that was not covered by my employer's insurance, I happily paid because the dental work is excellent. I would recommend using your flexible spending account here, if you have one.
Make sure that if you need to cancel, that you cancel as soon as possible. Number one because there is a fee and Number two that gives someone else a chance to be serviced earlier (like me). The wait for an excellent dentist can be very long, so make sure you call for an appointment as soon as possible. read more
