When his office moved and my insurance changed I stayed with the other dentist that he shared office space with, but always missed Dr. Bey. Top notch practice. I used to be a dental assistant for 2 Drs. whom I held in high regard, so I'm very picky when it comes to dentists. I liked my previous dentist a lot, but he stopped taking my insurance company. No biggie, you have to do, what you have to do. His associate however, kept my insurance company. After trying her for a year, I found her to be too hasty, overlooking details, and being overbooked to the point that visiting her as a patient just felt like a burden. I wasn't feeling her so I looked elsewhere. My good friend recommended Dr. Bey, and I'm glad I followed his advice. Dr Bey and his employees are awesome. His associate Dr. Tengonciang (who is on maternity leave) is awesome as well. After my easy-going cleaning, Dr. Tengonciang, took a look at a filling I was concerned about and said that is was worn and exposing raw tooth. A future appointment with Dr. Bey was booked. FFWD 1 month.... I came to see Dr. Bey to have the filling redone, and he found a massive cavity under it, he even showed it to me on the x-ray, dark little spot right under it. So he proceeded to fix it. In the end, I was lucky Dr. Tengonciang's attention to detail caught this issue, or I would have had a big issue down the road. The rates are reasonable and when I need a specialist like for a root canal or implant, he always has the name and phone number of several very good options. I LOVE Dr. Bey! I have been going to him for years because he knows I am the biggest wimp and need lots of reassurance during procedures. Dr. Bey makes sure I will not suffer any pain. It also helps that he has the latest equipment. This includes equipment to make crowns right there in the office while you wait so you don't have to walk around for weeks with a temporary crown. I also love the soft leather reclining dental chair. It is so comfortable, patients have been known to fall asleep in it. I want one for my home! Everything is sparkling clean. The hygienists are outstanding, both in their practice and in educating patients on dental hygiene (the hows and whys). Had a cavity filled by Gloria Tengonciang, D.M.D. on 2/10/17. I was worried as I have had bad experiences with having fillings done in the past at other offices where the whole experience was very painful. Gloria is wonderful though. She gave more than enough time for the numbing agent to kick in and explained everything step by step as she was doing it. I never once felt any pain at all during the process. I've been a patient for almost twenty years and I've rarely had to wait, even a few minutes. If I did have to wait, I was always told how long my wait would be. The dental hygienists are the absolute best!! I've referred people to Dr. Bey who hadn't seen a dentist in decades. They agree with me, the hygienists are all top-notch and the dentist is one of best! While the hygienists work on cleaning your teeth, they make sure you're comfortable and if you watch the tv on the ceiling, they make sure it's on a channel you want to watch. The best part is, I never feel them as they scrape and dig - my teeth are not in the best shape and my gums are bad. I never feel hurt when I leave the office. I used to joke that the dentist was the only doctor you could visit walking in feeling fine, but walking out feeling terrible! Nothing further from the truth with Dr. Bey!! Dr. Bey is one of the best medical professionals I've had the fortune to see. He is so respectful- not only to patients, but to his staff!!
