During my search, I have realized that most of the agencies have dealt with difficult situations from their own pasts, which seems to create a certain familiarity.. I know it will be challenging trying to find the right agency, and finding the right caregiver that will want to help us out on the weekends.. Every caregiver we've interacted with has been professional, kind, and genuinely caring--not just doing a job, but forming a real connection with my dad. It gives our family such peace of mind knowing he's in such good hands. One of the biggest reliefs for us has been how they handle the billing process with CalPERS Long Term Care Insurance. They direct bill the insurance company, which means we don't have to worry about being the middle person or dealing with the stress of reimbursements. That alone has saved us so much time and energy. Honestly, this was beyond horrible. After, complaining STRONGLY to my doctor and to Luna's customer service I received a call today that from a manager that they found someone and made appiontment for the required in home PT 2 days after my surgery (July 11th). I guess I should be happy that I got an appointment, but honestly this was FAR too difficult. I hope my PT makes the appointment and we work well together. We'll see!
