The staff at the ARCC offices is great at communicating any issues that they feel is pertinent to their client's health and wellbeing.

She's quiet, sweet, attentive, everything we need. Treasure works with us to match Nellys schedule to ours so we can have only Nelly here. Caregivers of Land Park's wonderful caregivers have demonstrated all three! We contracted with Michelle and CGOLP several months ago when I could no longer give mom all the care she needed as her medical issues progressed. Michelle hand-picked Martha and Claudia for mom and they were so wonderful! Super different in personalities, but both a great fit for mom and quickly developed a sense of rapport and trust with her, as she got used to needing care from people other than me. Our need for care increased, and Michelle and Martha in particular worked hard to accommodate our every request. We had a few bumps here and there as you would expect with any company where you are changing schedules on a regular basis, but it's always worked out and Michelle goes above and beyond, in my opinion, to accommodate and help families. We started needing some 24-hour care so we could get away on some respite vacation time and extra caregivers were brought in. Again, a few little bumps, and one in particular not quite as mature as the others, but I believe that they all helped mom to the best of their abilities and clearly wanted us all to be happy with their care. It put our minds at ease and we were able to relax and get renewed. Now that mom has transitioned to assisted living, we so value the relationship that she has built with Martha in particular, that we are continuing to request her twice or three times a week to help her with the transition and be our "eyes" and "ears." When we go out of town on vacation, this relationship will particularly be helpful for us, as Martha is a wonderful communicator and responds promptly to any questions or issues we have. They are personal with all the family members. They care about the extended family members and extend support to them. Though my grandfather has been moved to a in home facility, Justin, Carleton and his family as well as their employees have visited my grandpa in his new home and they have visited made personal visits to my grandma to visit with her and make sure she's doing alright. This time for my family has been extremely trying and tough; however this group of fine people has brought my family great comfort and support. My family decided that taking on that burden ourselves would be too stressful and difficult, so we contacted Care Scope to provide 24 hour care for my grandmother. This company is absolutely wonderful. I cannot stress how helpful their service has been. Setting up an in home aide was as simple as a single phone call, and they were able to send someone over immediately. We chose to have 24 hour help, but you can change this depending on your individual needs. Care Scope will arrange for aides to come so that you always have coverage when you need it, even if it's a holiday, overnight, or the weekend. Every single aide has been so compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable. Like most families in this situation, we were not prepared to handle all aspects of caring for a family member that was dying. Just having that extra set of hands was unspeakably helpful, especially since every single one knew how to change diapers, give sponge baths, and transfer patients with minimal strain/stress/pain. Additionally, it was really nice to have their company and when things went sour (which happened a lot) the aides kept their cool and helped work through whatever situation had come up. Care Scope employees can help you with any care giving duties, provide company, and help out with some light work around the house. Also, whenever something happened, our aides stayed and made sure that the situation settled even if that put them past their shift without a single complaint. I cannot speak highly enough of this company. I would recommend Care Scope to anyone looking for some additional help when caring for a sick loved one. (Note: I see multiple offices listed for this agency; I chose the Elk Grove location because that's…read morethe office I believe we were dealing with.) We used this agency for much of 2022 to care for our ailing parents in the Sacramento area, and I have very mixed feelings about them. On the one hand, we had a number of different caregivers from Golden Years and one of them stood far above the rest, so we requested her exclusively and were never disappointed by her excellent care. However, dealing with their business office left a very bitter taste in my mouth.. I could have overlooked the multiple billing errors (including duplicate invoices) if their office had been responsive in correcting them, but emails to their office simply went unanswered, and I had to resort to sending letters via registered mail. (Thus, "unpaid" but erroneous bills piled up and GY started charging us usuriously high interest rates on the "unpaid" amounts.. I'm talking 122%) I also was not pleased when a key contractual obligation was not only ignored (as were multiple requests that they honor their contract) but once they finally replied, they blamed *us* for the problem that they caused. Caregiver scheduling was also a big issue. We were supposed to do all scheduling through the GY office, but they were not at all reliable and we wound up having to schedule directly with our caregiver. (This was against their rules, but the caregiver acknowledged the challenges dealing with the GY office, and told us that she had the same problems with them.) If our excellent caregiver had not left GY's employ, we probably would have continued to suffer their billing errors and obnoxious unresponsiveness, but while we were sad to see the caregiver go, we were not at all unhappy to be done with Golden Years. (They did eventually condescend to reply to us and offered a small token reduction in our charges as an apology for their failures). If we were in a position where we needed in-home care services again, I would absolutely not choose Golden Years.
