I can't speak to anyone else's experience, as this review is all my personal experience and opinion…read moreonly, as I know not everyone will have the same experience and I also know there are some solid techs at this company (I have personally dealth with them), but unfortunately I had a nightmare experience with mutiple bad apples in my opinion, and it unfortunately resulted in the end of my storied relationship with a plumber that I thought would be the last one I would ever need, but as they say if something seems too good to be true it usually is... I thought I had found a plumber for life, but my personal experience with Option One ended up with me feeling as though they exhibited failed ownership in addressing an issue caused by errors from their techs, lack of accountability with regard to said issue and becoming confrontational and argumentative when the issue was brought to their attention. Long story short, I had a plumbing blockage that resulted in my front yard needing to be dug up and new pipes being installed in the yard. Upon completion of the job, I experienced flooding in my yard and requested Option One to come out and address the issue. They tried to claim it was an irrigation issue not their problem, but after getting another Option One tech and a plumber from another company to come out, it was confirmed (via photos) that the flooding was due to Option One failing to connect the piping correctly. Instead of taking ownership and accountability for the issue, I was met with defensiveness, along with the above stated lack of ownership and accountability. At one point in the process I even had to ask one of the techs to leave my property because he had such a dismissive unprofessional attitude. I could go on and on but I have already wasted so much time on dealing with this issue that it isn't worth any more of my time. At the end of the day, I found another company to correct the failed work done by Option One and this company apologized on behalf of Option One, as this company felt bad that I had to go through such an ordeal, given that the plumbing industry is already viewed in a negative light by many, right up there with mechanics, car salesmen and attorneys by some. You can read my past reviews to see how much I praised this company in the past, which is why I was so disappointed by what in my personal option was a complete lack of accountability and ownership by multiple individuals across the Option One company. After giving this company multiple five star reviews over the years, I cannot recommend them to anyone anymore as the trust they gained over the years was lost in an instant and based on my personal experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone moving forward like I have done in the past.

I initially reached out for a refrigerator water line install and dishwasher water line install as well as a quote on new pipe hangers and shower, toilet, and sink install which I told the receptionist when booking . I asked the receptionist since I did not have kitchen cabinets and sink installed yet if the water line for dishwasher could be done or if I needed to wait and was told it wasn't an issue. Fast forward and plumber came out put in a line for refrigerator and said dishwasher couldn't be installed until sink was installed. I was charged over $300 for work and never received a quote for other work. After calling back twice inquiring , I finally got called back to say I was too far away for big jobs.

They were quick to respond, completed the work in FAR less time than I expected and came in a couple hundred $ less than a large name plumbing company. We called Cain's because we suspected that other company was trying to gauge us saying it would cost $1,000. We were so glad to get a second estimate . It cost around $600 with Cain's. Now to today, we had our disposal clog after hours Tuesday night and also noticed that the sink was leaking when it was filled with the backed up water from the disposal. They weren't able to make it out Wednesday and we were fine with that. Ours wasn't an emergency. Yes it was plugged up and inconvenient but we understood that there were more urgent jobs than ours. We scooped the water out of the sink and put a bucket under it and were fine. Before they arrived, we realized that there was a loose hot water handle on our bathroom spigot and that the tub was draining slowly. I know plumbers must roll their eyes that one request turns into multiple issues by the time they get there but since we have to pay the expense, we might as well get it all fixed rather than pay for another visit. Cain's guys were awesome about the extra requests. No attitude, no acting like it was a problem. They were totally professional. Their plumber and another plumber in training came out Thursday around 11:45 and were gone by 1pm. In just over an hour they - cleared the jam in the disposal - had to replumb under that sink to fix the leak -cleared the hair out of the slow draining tub (I blame my husband) - tightened a hot water handle - secured a tub handle All in just over an hour and it cost around $211. Absolutely reasonable and their guys are great. It's such a relief to have a company that we can call in a pinch. And they came in wearing masks without us having to ask. I am an immune suppressed person and was stressed that it would be awkward if I had to ask them to wear a mask but they were already masked when they arrived. THANKS GUYS!!!

He explained what he was doing and gave me options. My sink is connected to a garbage disposal and shares a drain with the dishwasher. So he had to care for that as well. Once getting a good look at the situation he gave me options and then was off to the local hardware store to pick up the parts he would need. Once he knew the exact amount he texted and I was able to send the payment for the parts electronically through Zelle (it would only be about $20). He provided information for upkeep and the work he did was outstanding. Will use them again for future jobs!
