    Sweet 16 Birthday Cake.
    Angie S.

I had heard about Susie's Scrumptious Sweets from two friends who said their cakes were amazing. So when my daughter's 16th birthday rolled around we went there for a tasting. They have open tastings Saturdays but I recommend making an appointment because it can get busy. We were there with three other groups and it actually made it a lot of fun. Everyone was talking about the occasion they were there for and the ideas they had for their cakes. Susie's husband, Wilt, does the tastings and he's hilarious. He's also really great at answering any questions you may have about the different flavors. Be warned - Come hungry! They usually have around 10 different cakes for you to try and they don't serve tiny pieces. You are going to get a whole piece of each and every flavor you want to try. And you can try them all. Seriously, try them all. You'll be surprised at how delicious some of the combinations are. They box up all the leftovers so you can take them home with you and eat cake for a week. My favorites were the almond cake and coconut cake. My daughter's favorites were strawberry shortcake (with fresh strawberries) and key lime. After you've decided on your flavor you will talk to Susie and work on your design. They have a ton of pictures of past cakes if you need ideas. We ended up with a strawberry shortcake cake that fed around 20 people with an anchor on top. When we picked up the cake for the party I was shocked by how large it actually was. The design was exactly what my daughter wanted and tasted amazing. Susie's will be my go to for cakes for many years to come.

Susie is AMAZING!!! This was one of very few things at my wedding that went FLAWLESSLY! The cake is as both beautiful and delicious! THANK YOU, SUSIE!!!

Three fantastic cakes! They tasted soooooo good!

Susie's Scrumptious Sweets creates delicious, creative and beautiful custom cakes. Actually, they make all kinds of delicious desserts, from cookies to cheesecake to cobbler to fruit cake, that I've enjoyed for years. I can't say enough great things about this bakery. Recently, Susie's made unbelievable birthday cakes for my dad's 75th birthday. We were throwing a tailgate-themed party and wanted a cake reflecting some of my dad's favorite teams. Our Philadelphia Eagles football jersey cake was impressive, delicious and a show stopper. Our Miami Dolphins baseball cap cake was also delicious and awesome. Such incredible detail work. Our guests couldn't believe they were cake. Susie's surprised us with a bonus football cake on the day of the party. Although I appreciate a pretty cake for its aesthetics, for me it's all about the taste. Susie's never disappoints. They make INCREDIBLE TASTING CAKE. For this party, we had a key lime cake with white chocolate and raspberry filling, a pina colada cake with pineapple filling, and a chocolate cake. Everyone at the party raved about how great the cakes tasted. Like totally raved. I can't tell you how many people asked me about the bakers and specifically wanted their contact information. I love Susie's Scrumptious Sweets and recommend them so enthusiastically for all your cake and sweets needs. They're professionals with tremendous talent. They really make awesome looking and tasting cakes.

    Gender Revealing Cake

I got a gender revealing cake and cupcakes. I give them an envelope from my doctor with the gender in it. The cake was either pink or blue Velvet Cake. Told them I want a monkey on it because it's the Year of the Monkey. They made it happen. The cake and cupcakes was moist and delicious. I would definitely come back for my baby shower cake!! There's a complimentary cake tasting every Saturday I would highly recommend everyone to attend, especially if you are unsure of what flavor you want.

I got this cake for my bachelorette and it was the most amazing, delicious, and perfectly designed piece. Everyone was raving about how delicious it was... "it seriously was the best cake I ever had." Will definitely sending all my friends here

The cake was absolutely amazing when it came to presentation and taste now be prepared to spend quite a bit of money but definitely worth it the people who own the place is a little older couple very pleasant so be ready to hear about their baby's aka their dogs and many facts from the gentlemen who is the husband but before u buy u go to a cake tasting wich is a little overwhelming if u are alone so bring some company over all amazing cake

I got my baby shower cake from here. So delicious. It came out exactly how i wanted it all i did was show her a picture. Reasonable pricing and not to mention the complimentary cake tasting. Most places give you small pieces while Susie give you a whole slice. Love love love this place. Cant wait to come back for my sons first birthday party.

Susie made this purple heart exceeding my expectations! If you want a cake that will keep them talking go to Susie!!

Susie did my 40th birthday cake for me and it exceeded my expectations. The experience of the cake tasting was the beginning of the journey. Wilt her husband is the jokester of the family business. You'll have a blast with all of the mouthwatering cakes you'll taste. You get cake education and jokes with it. Susie took my concept of what I wanted which I changed a few times and made it my reality. I was so blown away with the final product. I also appreciate that even though it seems like Mrs. Susie is a tough cookie she had a soft middle the holds a beautiful heart. She has a new extended family thanks to her sweet heart shaped cake she made for me. I am looking forward to Susie making birthday cakes and my sisters wedding cake creation. If you want a homemade love filled cake look no more if you found Susie. Thank you for the amazing, moist, beautiful and flavorful cake!!!

    Awesome cake!

Amazing! I had my Groom's cake for our rehearsal dinner done here. I sent a pic of a Jason Voorhees mask and the cake I picked up was nothing short of spectacular! Going to post a pic in here! It was DELICIOUS as well! When I walked it into the restaurant people were coming up to take pics of the cake bc it was just so cool! Thank you Susie!

    One classy chocolate birthday cake!

Susie does wonderful work! I recently needed a cake last minute for my fiancé's birthday and didn't want to get a grocery store cake, so I went out on a limb and called to see if she could whip something up for the next day. She pulled it off fabulously! She decorated it beautifully at no extra charge and it was DELICIOUS! We are cake snobs and she definitely exceeded our expectations. We will be repeat customers for sure!

My cake they made for my sis. Awesome decor. The cake was decent. Too sweet forvmy liking, but everyone seemed to love it.

I also tried one of their empanadas, which was delicious and packed with flavor. My friend had the breakfast sandwich which she enjoyed! The real star here, though, is the pastries. I tried a couple slices of cake and they were absolutely amazing--fresh, rich, and clearly made with care. There alfajors also melted in your mouth!! There's also plenty of seating, which is a huge plus. The only downside was the ordering process. Since it was my first visit, I didn't realize you have to take a number (similar to Publix) and wait to be called. I ended up standing in line, not knowing they were serving based on numbers instead. To add to the confusion, numbers were being called out in Spanish, which I don't speak. Once you know how it works, it's probably fine--but as a first-timer, it was a bit confusing. That said, I'd absolutely go back for the food--just probably not on a busy weekend!

I had the French toast muffin and it was delightful. I skipped using the fork they gave me and devoured it. They do have a wide variety of coffee flavors as well as signature and seasonal coffees/lattes they seem to have on rotation. The pistachio iced coffee I decided to go with and what I really like is the option to add condensed milk which you don't hear very often and really reminds me of home overseas. The staff was great in making recommendations, extremely pleasant throughout the buying process and even there after when I was leaving. I'll definitely go back especially to their other pastries!

Today, we ordered the Iced Caramel Macchiato, Iced Cinnamon Roll Latte, Spicy Beef Empanada, and their Key lime Pie. The coffees were good, but in my opinion, their pastries and snacks tasted better and left a bigger impression on me. The coffee flavors, I felt like I can find them elsewhere but the key lime pie was nice- just sweet enough and right level of tartness. The spicy beef empanada was nice too or maybe I was just hungry. You make sure to try it and let me know if it was really good or no. They offer indoor and outdoor seating but are both limited so get there at the right time or be ready for Togo. The interior is cleanly decorated and they seem to have put in a lot of time hand writing out the special menu and seasonal items. Yes I would recommend this place to others. Yes I would definitely visit the Wild Mug Coffee Bar again.

It is large enough for a catered work party, if needed, and very clean. The menu is available at the counter, as well as on the wall behind the counter. Speaking of behind the counter, friendly faces are there too. Ordering was not only easy, but had a brief turnaround time. Sancocho de Costilla and Cuban sandwich/Pernil sandwich were our choices. The beef in the soup was tender; the sandwich was tasty. Neither required additional seasoning! But there is far more to explore than plates, soups, and sandwiches. Don Pan [pan is Spanish for bread] is also a bakery. It seems you must arrive early for a larger selection of items. By the time we arrived, the bakery stock clearly had taken a hit, which means popularity. If you want chain restaurant Latin food for very affordable prices, Don Pan is the place.
