Really good sushi and service, platters are great for groups of 3+. One of the best sushi spots I had in Mississauga, lots of flavour, will be back!

Solid 3.5 sushi spot. I heard from a friend this spot recently opened. Their family recently tried and liked it, so I wanted to check it out. I ordered through Uber Eats and got the following: - Unagi (BBQ Eel) & Avocado (6pcs) - All Salmon Sushi Lunch - Takoyaki (6pcs) Thoughts: I would order their Salmon Sushi Lunch set again. It's a lunch only special that includes miso soup and salad which was nice. Good value and tasty. However, not sure about the Unagi & Avocado and Takoyaki. Could be better. The Takoyaki I would not recommend just because the sauce overpowered everything and it was a bit bitter? Maybe too much soy sauce? I also thought the octopus piece inside was a bit too small. Overall, I would still give this place a chance. I will try to dine inside as well to check out their other dishes. It's a promising spot but tweaks could be made to make it better. Will update again once I get a more comprehensive overview.

This place recently opened up and as a fellow sushi lover I had to visit it! It's located in a small plaza by Oceans which is a pretty popular location. Me and a friend came to stop by and check out this new restaurant and our first impressions was that the dining area was beautiful with all the lights and the ambiance was great. I ordered the salmon lover set and my friend, the sushi A dinner set. With regards to the salmon lover set, I found the portions to be small. I've visited many sushi places and ordered something similar such as the salmon paradise, and the portions compared to these were small so I was a bit disappointed and the salmon nigiri didn't seem fresh ??? As in the picture the nigiri salmon pieces don't look fresh compared to the sashimi (see picture attached)

We just tried out this new sushi restaurant last night after hearing about it through my mom's friend. They are located in the Ocean's plaza where Bubble Republic used to be. We arrived around 6 pm so there was still some seating. By the time we were finished dinner, they were full. The restaurant is decorated very nicely and has a modern contemporary style. Service was excellent throughout our stay. The server even gave our little one a miso soup when we were going to share one. We ordered the bbq squid, shrimp siu mai, salmon lover, and salmon sashimi dinner. The shrimp siu mai is not like what you would expect from a dim sum restaurant. The outside of the siu mai kind of resembled rice paper and had shrimp inside. My husband destroyed his salmon lover. The salmon sashimi tasted fresh! I couldn't finish my salmon sashimi dinner so I will be finishing it today for lunch. We will definitely be back and would recommend to others. PS: If you get takeout and pay cash, they give you a 10% discount.

I stumbled upon a sushi spot in the Hurontario and Eglinton area of Mississauga. From the outside, it looks like a simple mom-and-pop shop, but once you step inside, you'll be amazed by the stunning interior. The fixtures and decor make you wonder how they fit everything in. The server is very attentive and will seat you as soon as a table becomes available. The menu is straightforward, featuring a few signature rolls that caught my interest. Since I was trying a new restaurant, I ordered a Chirashi Don, their Sushiya Bloom roll, and a small order of tempura. I appreciated that they offer two sizes of mixed tempura, which I like a lot. The overall presentation was impressive, especially the tempura. It had a nice bite to it and was not oily at all. The batter was quite different compared to other Japanese restaurants--smooth and airy, but not overly crispy. The Sushiya Bloom roll is something I would definitely order again; it creatively uses small pieces of fish rolled in a cucumber peel. I wasn't sure if it was meant to be a one-bite dish, but it was the perfect size. The Chirashi Don is something I would recommend to others. It featured thick cuts of high-quality fish that were well-prepared, and the sushi rice underneath was at a good temperature, complementing the fish nicely. I will definitely come back to try their lunch menu.

tucked away in my neighborhood, a new gem has quietly emerged into the local sushi scene. having just opened its doors three months ago, sushiya bloom has already become my little secret retreat for those evenings when i'm craving something special but don't want to venture too far from home. the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in this wonderfully moody atmosphere. the designers really understood the assignment - it's modern without trying too hard, with soft lighting that makes everyone look like they're glowing. it's the kind of place where you can actually have a conversation without raising your voice, perfect for a date night or just unwinding after a long day. the sushi itself? it's fresh and satisfying, though i'll admit the portions aren't going to overwhelm you. but what was really nice was this sweet gesture they made - they brought out a complimentary plate of seared sashimi, a little "thank you" for being one of their first customers. it's these thoughtful touches that make new restaurants feel special. i appreciate how they've thought through the full experience - every dinner dish comes with both salad and soup, which makes the meal feel more complete. though i had to chuckle when they served the miso soup without a spoon, explaining that "that's how they do it in japan." sure, i get the commitment to authenticity, but don't worry - they'll happily bring you a spoon if you ask. no judgment here. bathroom is super clean and the design is just like the restaurant interior. while there might be countless sushi spots in the city, there's something rather lovely about having one that feels like it belongs to the neighborhood. it's not trying to revolutionize sushi dining, but sometimes that's not what you're looking for. sometimes you just want a quiet corner where the fish is fresh and the ambiance makes you forget about the world outside for a little while.

I'm not sure how much my friend putting us on wait list before arriving helped but we waited about 30 mins before it was our turn. There were 5 of us (4 adults and one toddler) and we were in a booth for four adults. The booths are pretty small considering all the things you can order. Luckily our booth was against a wall with space to put the dishes that didn't fit on the table. Dinner service was very busy as it was difficult to flag down a server to order. Once we ordered, the meats came out very fast. I think the cuts offered at Shinta are high quality for an AYCE restaurant. Currently Shinta offers an order of free A5 wagyu with your dinner. Everyone really enjoyed the Wagyu, even my toddler! The sushi that they offer was also good. I opted to eat less sushi to fill up on the meat. For dessert, the majority of us got the mango pomelo sago. It was refreshing! Overall, I really enjoyed Shinta and will be having my birthday dinner here next month! They also offer a free 6" cake if you reserve at least three days in advance.

We came for bbq so it was news to me they had hot pot as an option as well. Anyway, we opted for the black menu as there was a great variety on it already. Our favourites were the scallops, short ribs, and torched salmon sushi. For dessert we just tried the soft serve ice cream. The service and quality was top notch at its price point. Would visit again!

The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly everything we ordered felt like it was made with care. But the real surprise was the robot servers rolling food out to the tables. It sounds gimmicky, but it was actually really fun to watch and added something different to the whole experience. Service from the staff was still attentive and friendly, and the place had a nice, lively vibe without feeling chaotic. Definitely a spot I'd go back to if I'm in the area again.

Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. My husband ordered nigiri sushi: red snapper and white tuna. Both of these were bland, with a mushy mouthfeel. My oyster had lots of sheen and liquor, but they were clearly harvested long ago, and were shriveled in their shells. Both of us left with upset stomachs. As a topper, our young waiter asked us as we settled the bill, "Why are you old folks out during the busy time?" OMG. This restaurant is affiliated with Wind restaurant, which also uses robot servers. The Buffalo location has wider aisles: Here, it was dinner-and-a-show watching the servers and patrons dodge and weave around the robots.
