Sushisamba London is my first introduction to this brand which is also now in the States residing in Vegas and LA. Staying nearby at the Canopy, my partner and I came across a line in front of an elevator that was facing the exterior of the building. Me being the nosey person I can be, I went up and discovered that many floors above is a restaurant/club. We waited for about ten minutes to go up and sure enough was it a sight to behold. With multiple rooms to explore, vibes in every corner, and just this swank feel -- it was how we wanted to spend the night. The outdoor patio with the large tree with a bar built around it was stunning. I feel like dinner here comes with a show with the ensemble dressed up walking around. It's a must see if you're on this side of town.

The fish was so fresh that I thought I was eating in Hawaii and not London! The spicy tuna and the spicy crab were our favorites. The drinks were strong and very well made - especially the espresso martini. We had a beautiful view by the window, which was so nice because they got us a really wonderful table even when they were very busy. Our waitress was kind and welcoming and made sure that we were happy with our rolls. We had an extra long lunch at Sushi Samba and I can't wait to come back.

Awesome place - great decor and all around vibe. Lots of different types of sushi to try - some non traditional ones as well that ended up being pretty delicious. The place is expensive so some stuff definitely might feel overpriced but all around I had a great night out with friends there. Service was good.

This was an amazing experience! For some reason my pictures of the food didn't get saved :( however, trust me when I say that everything, I tried was phenomenal! The drinks were delicious and refreshing too. A bit pricey but you pay for the experience and ambiance. Also, it was my first time in London, so I wanted to treat myself.

This is a fantastic place and we had a great time. We did the primary variety dinner and the food was very tasty. The service is good and you also get a good look of the London skyline from the 28th floor. The place does get very loud though. I will definitely recommend it.

Ambiance and service were impeccable. This restaurant is beautifully decorated on the top floor of a tall building near Liverpool St. tube station. The waiter recommended to order 2-3 dishes per person to share. They had a little bit of everything on the menu so it was easy to order many dishes however, I felt the restaurant was overpriced (or maybe that's just the economy right now). The drinks were good but easily priced at £15+ each. The sushi roll we ordered was really good and recommended by our waiter. The yellowtail was fresh and our steak platter was cooked to perfection. We ordered the corn and steamed rice as a side and could have easily passed on the corn. I think this would be a great place to grab a drink and an app to pregame. The views overlooking the city are unmatched!

We had such a great experience here! The sushi was fresh and flavorful, the food and drinks were top-notch, and the vibe could not be beat. With an amazing view and a fun, relaxed atmosphere, it's definitely a spot I'd come back to. Monika was a fantastic server--warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

My new favorite Sushi spot in London. Ambiance, food and service were 10/10. The drinks were also amazing.

Excellent. One of my most enjoyable moments in London! Service, great! Food + drink, great! Ambience, great! Views, great! I tried booking a reservation on a Friday night but clearly I'm not a local because this placed was packed and the reservation needed booking in advance! I was finally able to book a reservation for that following Monday. I ordered the green bean tempura, the Samba London roll, the chicken teriyaki and the lychee cooler drink. I loved everything! The chicken teriyaki was my favorite. It was cooked to perfection and tasted so good! I think after eating the green bean tempura, I realized I'm not a fan of eating foods that are prepped/cooked this way. The views, omg they were amazing. I believe I was on the 40th floor! Scary but fun. It was such a perfect start to my day. I definitely have to go back to London and visit this restaurant again! I also want to see what the bar/lounge space is like. It was def crowded and seemed like a good time.

Delicious and great! Service is good and the restaurant is beautiful. The food is amazing. Drinks aren't the best but the food makes up for it.

FOOD POISONING. Besides that it was an excellent restaurant. Great service, great vibe. Made reservations well in advance. But the illness put a big damper on our European vacation...

It sparked a search for THE sushi place to go to around the city. I walked past this place while I was getting lost on my lunch break. I made a note of it and told myself I'd go in sometime, but it was like some sort of Harry Potter cross dimensional place that I couldn't find, It's well hidden but it's an absolute gem. It's a typical conveyor belt sushi setup. With colour coded plates. So far so good. What strikes me is the quality of the stuff going past. None of your dry, cold rice endlessly circling a glum, flourescent table a la Yo! Sushi. This is the good stuff. There is a great selection and it's not all safe bets (tuna or salmon) there's a good mix of vegetarian, adventurous and traditional items. Plus they have nailed the warm rice/ crisp nori in the way that no other place I have been to in London. Probably because they are making the sushi right in front of you. In fact if you don't see what you like, you can request it. Service is prompt, friendly, polite and never intrusive. This is my favourite sushi spot in London, I've taken friends and converted cynics. It's authentic enough to have the traditional Japanese desserts too. Not too expensive, an absolute bargain for what you get. 10/10.

The odd thing is that Habibi is never busy, it's always a bit quiet. I wondered why so I paid a couple of visits. There is a wide selection of sushi available to eat in or take away. The thing is, the place doesn't feel as clean as it should be. The lids covering the sushi often seems a little musty and if an item is too large for the plate (typically the stuff on skewers) it drags across the display of soft drinks in the middle (check out all the missing pain on the cans!) To add to this general feeling of uncleanliness, there were a lot of little flies in the restaurant which would occasionally land on the uncovered plates on the conveyor belt. It seems the electric fly catcher, situated right next to the Miso soup pot, isn't doing its job well enough. Given the place has been so quiet on my few visits, the staff weren't really that attentive and you had to shout to get their attention. I did notice that a few people came in for takeaways during my lunches. I felt a bit sorry for them, as during my second visit the chef was taking unsold sushi from the plates and boxing this up for takeaway. It could well be that both my visits were uncharacteristic and believe me, in a world of homogenised dining brands such as Yo!, I strongly want to support the independent restaurateur, but I think they need to smarten their act if I'm to ever consider going back.

I never had an empty glass. Service was so incredibly attentive without ever feeling overbearing. They brought out starters promptly. Edamame was really great. Loved the shishito peppers as well. I didn't even touch the miso soup lol. Saving my appetite for the main event! The sushi buffet was truly excellent. The sashimi was impeccable quality. One very minor complaint is that the plates were very small (not a huge deal, I just felt bad for the staff for having to clear plates often as I could only fit like four pieces of sushi on one, lol). I thought the range of food was great. The salads were really nice as well. There was a very simply dressed spinach salad with a subtle truffle flavour that I loved. The choice of mains is really just a bonus. I opted for the black cod (of course) which (of course) was fantastic. Honestly the buffet was so good I would have been just as happy without it but who can complain! Minor complaint is that the dessert selection was just okay. Honestly given how phenomenal everything else was I was a bit surprised they didn't elevate the desserts as much. I had some decent churros with a truly unbelievable caramel sauce and tried a brownie that I didn't love. I didn't come for the desserts and it still hit the spot, but they could show them some love! Overall well worth the price. Will return.

The restaurant admitted this was a training fail on their part (I have the back and forth emails) but still charged me for a full Omakase price even though I never had an Omakase experience! It's a real shame as Nobu has been one of my favorite restaurants. To charge the customer for their own self admitted complete failure is a DISGRACE!!

To be fair I think it's more a cocktail bar that just happens to serve sushi on the side so maybe that's why they don't put too much attention on their food. Sadly we didn't order any cocktails so we can't comment on that. The whole restaurant itself definitely lacks warmth. It felt like a big empty white space with a few table and chairs thrown in lit up with cold spotlight lighting. Service on the other hand was superb. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive in taking your order and making sure you got everything you wanted. However they weren't knowledgable in the menu at all and you will come to find out why. We started with mixed vegetable tempura which was really red peppers and courgettes, not really the mix we were expecting. The batter was good, a bit on the greasy side but still light and thin. They were served with takoyaki sauce which was interesting. If you like the taste of worchester sauce then you will like it. The super salmon roll had potential but the quality of ingredients let it down. Sadly this place does lack quality and the price doesn't match what you get. The salmon was mushy and tasteless. But the filling itself was nice. The use of pickled daikon inside which was very new to me in a salmon roll provided a nice crunchy texture and added a refreshing flavour. Rainbow roll costing £12.00 was not worth its price. Described as spicy crab was nothing more than a crab stick inside actually made from white fish. The fish slices were mushy and only one Seabass slice in sight. It tasted mushy and low in quality The tuna and salmon sashimi was more for presentation than to eat. Even by presenting the sashimi on ice, it does not hide the fact that the tuna and salmon were not the freshest or high quality. The cut was poor, you can taste the fibers, it was mushy and lacking flavour. The Unagi nigiri was okay. The eel itself could have been bought marinated already. Nothing too memorable but at least the marinate was nice and the rice held nicely together. The potato croquettes that was given to us was a hilarious mistake. It was suppose to be our sautéed pak choi we ordered. The waiter even delivered it to us saying 'pak choi'. It was clearly potato croquette which wasn't on the menu. We started to make stories about how they might have taken the chef's lunch by mistake. We didn't fuss over it until we finished it as it was quite nice. In the end it came conplimentary as it turned out they ran out of pak choi and made us something else instead. Haha... Random! The Miso udon noodle soup was really udon placed into over salty miso soup. There was no extra meat or vegetable stock added, just instant miso paste with tonnes of wakame salad which was probably the reason why it was so salty. The egg that came with it was overcooked rather than soft boiled. The whole dish itself was something I could have made myself in 5 mins. The salmon teriyaki donburi was probably the best dish of the night. However they could have toned down the sauce as it all dripped to the bottom making the last few bites very overpowering in teriyaki sauce and salty. But other than that the salmon cut into small pieces meant it took on a lot of flavour. The red cabbage provided texture and the rice was cooked perfectly, fluffy and sticky. Although there were a few good dishes here and there I really don't see any reason to venture into this restaurant for the food. For the price you pay you can get far better quality of sushi and mains. It was a nice and funny experience overall but I won't do it again.
