I've been here four times and this time was the best. They had steamed fish and baked fish, as well as other seafood. Service was friendly. There were not as many people in the restaurant this time. The food tasted better, and I got more fish. Gyoza and spring rolls were available and good. I didn't have soup or bao buns, which is unusual, but I felt happier after eating here. Restroom was sufficient. I'm not sure they are concerned about the appearance of the restaurant beyond what the food touches. I am wondering why yelp has this restaurant as Sushi House, when the outside and price list shows Sushi Villa. AYCE sushi, handrolls and some Chinese dishes. They have a bar, which is the best place to get a seat so you can be in front of the sushi conveyor. Husband ordered the tuna handroll, seems like it is not placed in the conveyor. You do not pay extra for it but you can tip. Sushi rolls tasted good, but the protein on top is really thin. I felt I was eating mostly rice with sauce or imitation crab. Protein on nigiri was thin as well. I'm unsure if getting a couple of nigiri and combining the protein while ignoring the other portion of rice would be a good resolution to this as the rice will be wasted. Aside from the fried shrimp and fried chicken wings, I did not enjoy the cooked selection. They have ice cream. You basically go to the freezer and grab your own with a scooper. It was unappetizing because the scooper is dipped in water which did not appear clean. This is understandable though, as you were supposed to dip the scooper in the water to rinse it off so the flavor does not get mixed with the other. This was my first time coming to this buffet. I really enjoy buffets especially Chinese ones. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They explained how to get your food just in case you are not sure how the buffet works.. There is also a bar section with sushi on little boats floating around in a circle in front of you. Which I thought was perfect, especially if you LOVE sushi. There are so many options in front of you and on cute little boats. You can also sit on regular tables. The food was very good and pretty high quality. Personally, the sweet meat dishes were a little too sweet for me. Their chicken wings are so crunchy. So, I recommend getting a couple of those. For the last 2-3 decades, a few oriental buffets come and go here in Stockton. None of which seem to last (despite how good they may be), but for some reason this buffet remains standing through the years. Have to give it credit - must be doing something right or have something good. Came to try once before 15+ years ago, don't recall liking it as I never return. Hello I used to go to this place with my school friend it's been always nice. The price is good the waitress is very attentive, the food is good, sometimes there's a lot of people. Recently I took my husband he's starting to like sushi a bit more. The first time we went the girl making the sushi spoke English and she understood when we ask for a roll with rice or soy wrap instead of seaweed. The roll she made was perfect. Knowing we can ask for my husband's roll with different wrap we went again and it was really hard to communicate with the guys making the rolls. We ask one of the waiters to translate for us and still we got the wrong rolls. I love this place I just wish they have someone who speaks or understands English with the guys making the rolls. On a whim, we decided to give this place a try one evening. (I've come here before but like a decade ago lol). To my surprise, I was actually impressed. The rolls are quite tasty and the ingredients were fresh. They are definitely restaurant quality (not M sushi tier but you know like regular sushi tier such as Misaki, Shogun, Toyo, etc). I also love a good Chinese buffet and everything is delicious. For the value and quality, I would definitely recommend this buffet over others in town. Granted, there is no snow crab (but there is salt peppered crab which was a highlight). I only wish they had crawfish but other than that, absolutely no complaints. Service is good and sufficient. CON - I have not visited the restroom bc my husband said it's gross, so if you're management - please keep it clean and your customers would greatly appreciate that! The sushi here is less than average, nothing special and mainly has rolls with a lot of imitation crab. You can order half rolls of specific rolls. Sushi House Buffet is exactly what the name suggests: all-you-can-eat sushi. My hubby and I tried it out today and loved it. The sashimis are thin, juicy cuts. The octopus and salmon were our favorites; those cuts didn't rely on any sauce or add-ons, just fresh and tasty. The shrimp tempura sushi roll was also quite good, with savory fish flakes on top. There's also other food like soft shell crab, which was hands down our favorite. Easy to crunch on and no need for any crab tools to bust open. The shrimp and chicken were a bit over-seasoned, but there were other delicious things to try. We got full from the tasty options we sampled. The staff were mostly there to clean off any excess plates or offer refills, so I can't comment too much on that. The ambiance was very cool. The sushi arrived on little boats floating around, which was such a neat addition. We would just reach out and take a tray of sushi or sashimi from the boat. The price is very fair here. This is probably my 4th time coming to this place. My sister loves this place, so we ended up going last week. We showed up right before their closing break. The guy at the front was very nice and suggested we come back at 5 p.m. when they open again. We returned at 5 pm once they had opened. We were taken to our table promptly. It was a party of 4 and when the waitress asked what we wanted to drink we said 4 waters and 2 sodas. The waitress was very RUDE and refused to bring us all a cup of water. She said the table was too small to have 6 cups total. She ended up bringing us just 2 waters and 2 sodas. Honestly, there was space for even 10 cups. I am not sure why she refused. We were not planning on wasting it. We always finish our food and drinks. I also felt that it was rude for the waitress to take our plates before we were done eating. They took the plate away from my mom and my cousin. They did not want to say anything because they were too shy to say something. However, I do not think it is appropriate to do that. Food was alright. I was not impressed. I liked the fact that there are always little trays with pieces of sushi on the band that goes around the sushi bar. The other food options were decent. My mom got noodles and she said they were not very flavorful. When I went to get dessert I saw there was a fly walking around (and flying) the fruits and cookies. In my humble opinion, their pot stickers here were cooked to near perfection. I grew up with family members making them from scratch. Crunchy on the bottom, light and not greasy with bursting flavors inside. Pot stickers are hard to make and Sushi buffet, surprisingly, did a great job. Their service here was just excellent. They were super busy for lunch, but they had plenty of highly efficient and wonderful staff to serve our huge party for lunch. Lines were out the door, but they kept them moving quick, and from the look of all the customers, everyone seemed very satisfied. I like their sushi boat style buffet. The food is not good at all. Even some fast food Chinese places have better tasting entrees. But for the value the selection is good! All the sushi on the boats are different derivations of the California roll. Nice that we can order specialty rolls as we wish. The rest of the hot food is just not flavorful. Heavy batter in fried foods which minimized the taste of the protein dishes but maximizes as tummy fillers. The vegetables at least were fine. The salt n pepper shrimp and chicken wings were fine too. I'd still like to come back. It was kinda fun to keep looking at my options to experiment with what might taste good to me.
