I went to try sushi villa at lunch time and the price was great. They had the sushi boats going but I liked to order my own rolls personally and the Buffett items were good. I will definitely be back read more

I've been here four times and this time was the best. They had steamed fish and baked fish, as well as other seafood. Service was friendly. There were not as many people in the restaurant this time. The food tasted better, and I got more fish. Gyoza and spring rolls were available and good. I didn't have soup or bao buns, which is unusual, but I felt happier after eating here. Restroom was sufficient. I'm not sure they are concerned about the appearance of the restaurant beyond what the food touches. I'll likely return because the people around me like this place. read more

This place was amazing. The food was fresh and the staff were nice . The food was the main highlight because it was just amazing.

I am wondering why yelp has this restaurant as Sushi House, when the outside and price list shows Sushi Villa. AYCE sushi, handrolls and some Chinese dishes. They have a bar, which is the best place to get a seat so you can be in front of the sushi conveyor. Husband ordered the tuna handroll, seems like it is not placed in the conveyor. You do not pay extra for it but you can tip. Sushi rolls tasted good, but the protein on top is really thin. I felt I was eating mostly rice with sauce or imitation crab. Protein on nigiri was thin as well. I'm unsure if getting a couple of nigiri and combining the protein while ignoring the other portion of rice would be a good resolution to this as the rice will be wasted. Aside from the fried shrimp and fried chicken wings, I did not enjoy the cooked selection. They have ice cream. You basically go to the freezer and grab your own with a scooper. It was unappetizing because the scooper is dipped in water which did not appear clean. This is understandable though, as you were supposed to dip the scooper in the water to rinse it off so the flavor does not get mixed with the other. Unclear water is just not a good sight to see in a restaurant. read more

This was my first time coming to this buffet. I really enjoy buffets especially Chinese ones. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They explained how to get your food just in case you are not sure how the buffet works.. There is also a bar section with sushi on little boats floating around in a circle in front of you. Which I thought was perfect, especially if you LOVE sushi. There are so many options in front of you and on cute little boats. You can also sit on regular tables. The food was very good and pretty high quality. Personally, the sweet meat dishes were a little too sweet for me. Their chicken wings are so crunchy. So, I recommend getting a couple of those. Their cream puffs desserts were also yummy. They were perfectly filled. I will be visiting this quaint place again. And I'm hoping to taste even more delicious food! read more

For the last 2-3 decades, a few oriental buffets come and go here in Stockton. None of which seem to last (despite how good they may be), but for some reason this buffet remains standing through the years. Have to give it credit - must be doing something right or have something good. Came to try once before 15+ years ago, don't recall liking it as I never return. Back to visit again today (January 2025) and can say it's an okay place for sushi buffet. Price still decent from lunch to dinner - drinks sold separately. Some of their hot food items are pretty good (e.g. fried chicken wings, broccoli beef, beef chow fun, etc.). Still a good place to fall back on when nothing else to eat on certain days. read more

Hello I used to go to this place with my school friend it's been always nice. The price is good the waitress is very attentive, the food is good, sometimes there's a lot of people. Recently I took my husband he's starting to like sushi a bit more. The first time we went the girl making the sushi spoke English and she understood when we ask for a roll with rice or soy wrap instead of seaweed. The roll she made was perfect. Knowing we can ask for my husband's roll with different wrap we went again and it was really hard to communicate with the guys making the rolls. We ask one of the waiters to translate for us and still we got the wrong rolls. I love this place I just wish they have someone who speaks or understands English with the guys making the rolls. Ambience is nice the place has been clean. I was surprised even the restroom is clean. read more

Sushi Villa Buffet - Buffet and sushi boat buffet. - Buffets Near Me - Stockton, California

i feel so bad giving this place a low rating because the staff was very friendly but the food was so bad i didn't even bother eating dessert. the raw fish wasn't half bad but definitely not the best. i feel like so much of it sits out for so long while waiting to be grabbed. i got spicy edamame from a boat and it was so cold and the flavor and texture were pretty bad. the rolls weren't the worst and you are able to order full and half rolls and they were fine but again not my favorite. i got a tempura vegetable roll and it was basically just fried broccoli and rice and i wasn't a fan. i forget what other rolls we grabbed but they were alright. the buffet was not good. i didn't have a single thing i liked. everything was either weird tasting or just completely bland. we saw a kid and an employee reach in and grab food with their hands too. the place also just wasn't very clean looking. read more

I love how caring and loving the cooks and workers are and their food is amazing. The calm and warm feeling in the restraunt really gives it a warm ambiance. I really hope they expand to more locations and keep up their delicious meals. read more

Apparently they have new owners and none of the sushi chefs know how to speak English so you can't order a special dish from them because they don't understand what you want. Your sushi bar is very disgusting. No good choices not going back. read more

Came back for another round of sushi. You know a place is good when you're looking forward to going back. This 2nd time I stuck to the sushi, beef chowfun, and their cream cheese fried wontons. Don't remember the name of those little triangles at the moment. Overall everyone had a sensational time. Great fresh sushi rolls made to order. And their Chinese food selection made everyone in group happy. Will definitely be going back. read more

This is probably my 4th time coming to this place. My sister loves this place, so we ended up going last week. We showed up right before their closing break. The guy at the front was very nice and suggested we come back at 5 p.m. when they open again. We returned at 5 pm once they had opened. We were taken to our table promptly. It was a party of 4 and when the waitress asked what we wanted to drink we said 4 waters and 2 sodas. The waitress was very RUDE and refused to bring us all a cup of water. She said the table was too small to have 6 cups total. She ended up bringing us just 2 waters and 2 sodas. Honestly, there was space for even 10 cups. I am not sure why she refused. We were not planning on wasting it. We always finish our food and drinks. I also felt that it was rude for the waitress to take our plates before we were done eating. They took the plate away from my mom and my cousin. They did not want to say anything because they were too shy to say something. However, I do not think it is appropriate to do that. Food was alright. I was not impressed. I liked the fact that there are always little trays with pieces of sushi on the band that goes around the sushi bar. The other food options were decent. My mom got noodles and she said they were not very flavorful. When I went to get dessert I saw there was a fly walking around (and flying) the fruits and cookies. The restrooms did have warm water, soap, and paper towels. However, the floors were not super clean. read more

$17 after taxes per person for weekday lunch. The salt and pepper wings are the best thing here for sure, super crispy and flavorful. The chow mein and chow fun are alright and will get your cravings satisfied. Custard buns are good, hot and sour soup is a hit or a miss. Crag rangoons aren't super crispy but the filling is good. The sushi here is less than average, nothing special and mainly has rolls with a lot of imitation crab. You can order half rolls of specific rolls. Postickers were overcooked so too crunchy for my liking. Mom said oysters and mussels were good. They also offer deep fried crab during lunch. No ice cream machine sadly. Overall a decent buffet, I will be coming back especially for the salt and pepper wings. read more

Disgusting. The food? Looked four days old. My partner was craving really bad seafood. I said why not, lets go here. The service not so great they gave him a diet pepsi instead of a regular one which is no good because he is allergic to sucralose. Then the food, the rice?? Oh god it was so disgusting and hard like they didnt even bother with it. The food was viscous and we could hardly eat do anything. Got one plate took a bite of the pork bun and almost threw up. It was wet and pasty. We immediately left and had to pay 40 dollars for food we did not even eat, i threw yp mere minutes after and my partners been sick all night. 0 if I could do not eat here. read more

There food is all delicious. The sushi is amazing. I like the fact that even though they small platters on boat that they still give you big rolls of sushi. On a whim, we decided to give this place a try one evening. (I've come here before but like a decade ago lol). To my surprise, I was actually impressed. The rolls are quite tasty and the ingredients were fresh. They are definitely restaurant quality (not M sushi tier but you know like regular sushi tier such as Misaki, Shogun, Toyo, etc). I also love a good Chinese buffet and everything is delicious. For the value and quality, I would definitely recommend this buffet over others in town. Granted, there is no snow crab (but there is salt peppered crab which was a highlight). I only wish they had crawfish but other than that, absolutely no complaints. Service is good and sufficient. CON - I have not visited the restroom bc my husband said it's gross, so if you're management - please keep it clean and your customers would greatly appreciate that! But I'm not docking points for that. My advice is to just use to restroom before visiting and bring hand wipes/sanitizer before you eat! Lol read more

Sushi House Buffet is exactly what the name suggests: all-you-can-eat sushi. My hubby and I tried it out today and loved it. The sashimis are thin, juicy cuts. The octopus and salmon were our favorites; those cuts didn't rely on any sauce or add-ons, just fresh and tasty. The shrimp tempura sushi roll was also quite good, with savory fish flakes on top. There's also other food like soft shell crab, which was hands down our favorite. Easy to crunch on and no need for any crab tools to bust open. The shrimp and chicken were a bit over-seasoned, but there were other delicious things to try. We got full from the tasty options we sampled. The staff were mostly there to clean off any excess plates or offer refills, so I can't comment too much on that. The ambiance was very cool. The sushi arrived on little boats floating around, which was such a neat addition. We would just reach out and take a tray of sushi or sashimi from the boat. The price is very fair here. You definitely get your money's worth with great food and the delightful experience of watching the sushi boats while you eat. read more

Unfortanetly, they have maggots. I let the staff know and by the look on their face this was common.. I went to the front desk with my friend and we asked for our money back. Not a good experience Arrived at 8:15 p.m. for sushi, and to try out some of the food. The lady told me that they close at nine if that was OK? I said yes, that would be more than enough time to eat. I sat down, the women immediately started cleaning up around me and giving me dirty looks. I was looking around at the four other people that were there eating, with no one hovering over them, Sadly the sushi was terrible, it was stale, and was falling apart when I picked it up with the chopsticks. I do not recommend this buffet, I feel sick. When I went to go get a plate to try out the other things that they have, a worker asked if I was going to eat another plate, she said that she wanted to go home. She said, are you sure you want to get another plate? I was in disbelief, I responded, yes I'm hungry. At this time it was 835pm. I was so angry at the way that they were treating me and rushing me, I payed and left. I would never come back here to eat. I would never bring my friends here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I left at 8:35pm. After being pressured to leave by stares and banging of cleaning supplies and questions, it was the worst experience I've ever had eating out, no less eating at a Buffet. read more

The price is pretty fair for the amount of food you can get. There is an option if you want just a dish or you want to go all out and eat at the buffet, whatever you're interested in. The service takes on the approach of serve yourself if you're doing the buffet option, however if you're wanting to dine-in and order a specific item then they are quite polite and fast as well. The ambiance itself, depending on the time of day, can range from quiet and chill to busy and a bit loud. The food quality is really good and pretty fun too if you're having the sushi buffet. The way they serve the sushi buffet is by the boats floating on a stream of water and you pick whatever you want. If there is a type of sushi you want you can always request it and wait for it to come down the stream. I highly recommend this place for any sushi lovers out there, and anyone and everyone as well. read more

I was first one in thinking the food would be hot and fresh. No they weren't. Selection were few. Very disappointing. I've yet to come across any quality Chinese restaurants in the state of California. I feel their cheap mindset and culture is influencing their foods. Sushi is disappointing too. Their dish's be silverware looks like they were thrown into a quick cycle. They feel oily and have very noticeable residue. Never coming back. read more

I'm definitely going to return back an maybe dine on there sushi selection. read more

Horrible. The waiters and workers all stopped helping almost 2 hrs before closing. I had to go up and ask for a refill. Cooks/chefs stop making sushi and other food we wanted. I thought maybe they closed early, but they confirmed the that they closed at the time listed. Staff(95%) was on phones and sitting down eating while customers were still waiting for service. And had the nerve to overcharge . Worst buffet experience ever, will NEVER come here again. read more

In my humble opinion, their pot stickers here were cooked to near perfection. I grew up with family members making them from scratch. Crunchy on the bottom, light and not greasy with bursting flavors inside. Pot stickers are hard to make and Sushi buffet, surprisingly, did a great job. Their service here was just excellent. They were super busy for lunch, but they had plenty of highly efficient and wonderful staff to serve our huge party for lunch. Lines were out the door, but they kept them moving quick, and from the look of all the customers, everyone seemed very satisfied. I like their sushi boat style buffet. You can request special orders, all you can eat. Plenty of parking also makes it a plus and next door to SF Supermarket so quite convenient. We will return. Cheers! read more

They barely know what sushi is. Too much rice, very flat taste and no fish. Came out half-starved. Buffets in Sacramento a way better than this one read more

For the dinner price $20.95, it already includes sashimi and a large choice of sushi rolls to order from if you don't like what's being offered on the sushi boats. I think it's worth it for the price tbh considering how much sashimi is at regular Japanese restaurants. The quality isn't bad either, i loved the Philadelphia roll! Most of the waiters are all nice, I've never had an issue with them. Lastly it does get crowded in the restaurant so don't expect the noise level to be quiet. It's pretty hard to find good sushi in the Central Valley, so I'd honestly rather come here than spend the same amount of money at a sit down restaurant. read more

Sushi Villa Buffet - sashimi, Philadelphia roll, unagi roll (some pieces were already eaten) - Buffets Near Me - Stockton, California

The food is not good at all. Even some fast food Chinese places have better tasting entrees. But for the value the selection is good! All the sushi on the boats are different derivations of the California roll. Nice that we can order specialty rolls as we wish. The rest of the hot food is just not flavorful. Heavy batter in fried foods which minimized the taste of the protein dishes but maximizes as tummy fillers. The vegetables at least were fine. The salt n pepper shrimp and chicken wings were fine too. I'd still like to come back. It was kinda fun to keep looking at my options to experiment with what might taste good to me.
