My boyfriend super loves this place, every time we go to Cowansville we must stop here for lunch. I…read moredecided to use this as an excuse to try everything on the menu, minus the chicken items because of my allergy, just for fun. This place has been here for as long as I can remember and hasn't changed too much since then. It's a perfectly okay fast food place that makes some pretty tasty burgers. The food comes very quick and they now deliver it directly to the tables. They occasionally have featured burgers and other items to change up the menu a bit, and their coffee is better than Tim Horton's. I'm curious to see how many menu items I can try and if I can snag some featured items in time. Time will tell...

We were tired from a long day of exploring the area and so decided on something 'easy'. Mikes fit the bill. I would rate it above the typical TGIFriday's or Chili's in the US. While here we tried pizza, a sandwich, a salad, salmon, poutine, pasta with meat sauce, brownies, pumpkin pie, and ice cream. Even with all that and a pitcher of beer, the total before tip was just over $100. Everything was good and it was a nice relaxed dining atmosphere. Luckily our waitress spoke decent English (to compliment our regrettably poor French) and we had no issues in ordering. Stopping here after a long day of sightseeing topped the night off perfectly.

They never came to ask us if the meal was ok so when we finally saw someone we explained that the sushis were not like they usually are and that we were disappointed. The owner then proceeded to explain in lenght why we were so wrong about the sushis... How their rice is not dry as he squished a sushi between his finger... How if we didn't like it is because we had appetizers and that it was too much food... Left then came back to patronize us some more. We got up to pay the very expensive bill (40$ per person ) and he then said, as I was typing my PIN that people like us were saying that the food is bad so they don't have to pay... But that he wishes that we come back again... Never.

Our server told us there were so many people that day that their small town grew to over 10,000 more people that day! That all said, you're here to see if the food is good. The food was alright. I feel like on the busiest day they've probably ever had it's not fair to judge the quality when they didn't expect so many people so I'm sure it's probably better when it's not super busy, but it was just okay, as some tapas were definitely better than others. Everything is meant to be shared, so make sure everyone at the table more/less agrees on the menu. Overall, a good experience. I will say though, the lava cake was SUPERB!

The cheese they used didn't really tasted like gruyere. Mixed reviews for the different dishes we ordered. Prices were really expensive for what it was. The risotto was the star of the night, so I guess this ekes out a 4/5 for me because of that.
