The service here is abysmal, and the staff's attitude is hostile. What was supposed to be a joyful class reunion was ruined when a waiter--citing the large crowd--rudely told us to leave to make room for others. Furthermore, the establishment enforces numerous unreasonable "take-it-or-leave-it" policies and even goes so far as to eavesdrop on customers' private conversations; I am deeply disappointed. As a longtime patron of this restaurant, it appears they have now permanently lost a loyal customer. To make matters worse, I even found a strand of hair in my food, leaving me gravely concerned about--and thoroughly dissatisfied with--their food safety standards. If you are looking for a place to gather with friends or family, this is definitely not the right choice.

If you're looking for a sushi spot that delivers both quality and comfort, Sushi Republic really hits the mark. The space is nice, clean, and surprisingly spacious--perfect whether you're going for a casual dinner or a group outing. We were lucky enough to get our own private room, which made the experience feel even more special and relaxed. The service was excellent from start to finish--attentive without being overbearing. Staff checked in at just the right times, made great recommendations, and kept everything running smoothly. We went with the all-you-can-eat (AYCE) option but couldn't resist trying a few à la carte items too. Honestly, everything met (and even exceeded) expectations. The fish tasted fresh, the presentation was on point, and every roll and dish came out flavorful and well-prepared. Portions were just right--not too small where you feel unsatisfied, and not overly large either, so you can try a good variety without feeling overwhelmed. No long waits between rounds either, which is always a huge plus for AYCE. We also ordered sake, and it was the perfect match--really complemented the flavors of the sushi and elevated the whole dining experience. What really stood out was how consistent the quality was across the board--whether it was classic rolls, specialty items, or hot dishes. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, not rushed like some AYCE spots can be. Overall, a great experience: delicious food, a comfortable atmosphere, attentive service, and that added bonus of a private dining space. Definitely a spot I'd come back to--and bring friends next time.

This place is just okay. Came here to eat lunch yesterday. They have all you can eat for $19.95(?), basically under $20 plus tax and tip per person. They have a sheet that you are able to get made to order appetizers, hand rolls and special rolls from the kitchen. Soft drinks are included and dessert can be added at an additional cost. Food came quickly, we ordered miso soups to begin with a garden salad and spicy Kani salad - which turned out to be not spicy. We also got 1 order of shumai and an assortment of rolls to share. The regular hand rolls never made it to us. The shumai and appetizers were as expected. The rolls were just okay. They basically all tasted the same. The menu said mango, but there was no mango and they either have the eel sauce or the spicy mayo slathered on top. Overall just an okay experience. There is ample and spacious seating inside and it did get pretty busy during lunch.

Sushi was fresh. The fried selections were mixed: some tasty (short ribs, rock shrimp, chicken satay), and others over cooked (fried calamari) or over breaded (shrimp tempura). Service was friendly, but super slow. we noticed they did not bring out all of our ordered selections for Sushi, but the service was so slow that by the time we would get a waiter's attention, we were already almost done. Waiters did not ever check in with us and it was hard to flag one down. Overall, a good choice for all- you-can- eat, if you can overlook these things. there's plenty of parking, and the restaurant is clean and full of families for a relaxed ambiance. $38 per person for dinner. Very reasonable for AYCE.

The spider roll is not fresh. There's a funny taste to it. I wanted to puke right away. The veggie tempura is not fitted to the shape of the veggie. They looked like fried dumplings. Would not come back again.

Not busy on a Wed night. food is good for all you can eat. The only had part is figuring out which rolls are which when they come out. Tonight thought the servicei felt was a little slow to get started.

Food 4/5 - we have to admit it's great value, $19.99 may be the best deal to satisfy our sushi cravings, especially it's AYCE. I am not looking for high-end omakase quality when I come here. We try to order rolls with less fried fillers. Since we passed teenage/college age already and can't have AYCE very frequently, we keep track of what we order/what we like/what we don't like to avoid (repeated) trial error. I also suggest to keep a digital copy of what you mark on the menu/order sheet, in case they may miss somethingl when they get super busy. Service - 4/5 the waitresses we have had are generally nice and prompt. They serve water and kitchen food relatively quickly, and it's easy to get their attention when you want to order more. Sometimes sushi may take awhile to be ready, but it's made to order, I would manage my expectations when they get busy. Ambiance - 4/5 the store is spacious and can accommodate different sizes of parties. I never seen it been used but they have private rooms as well. Takeout - we ordered the sushi tray a few times for parties. Place order online to receive 20% off.

I like Sushi Republic because it has freshly made sushi, fresh sashimi, and an elegant ambiance.

More like a 2.5 Decent food. Not the highest quality fish, but very serviceable and you're unlikely to get sick from it. Cooked food is okay, some were pretty good, above average takeout Chinese food. I reiterate this is above average TAKEOUT Chinese food. Rolls are standard Chinese restaurant version of Japanese food. Service is attentive as along as they aren't overwhelmed. Overall very kind and helpful. What annoys me, and this is a pet peeve, is the dessert is an extra charge. I hate being nickle and dimed. If it's an issue of customers ordering too much, just raise your base buffet price. If I'm paying for an ayce, then I expect ayce. And it's unclear if the free drink applies to paying kids. Star legend 5: A+ Worth a special journey (ie. I would go out of my way, maybe even take a flight somewhere just for this; exceptionally amazing) 4: A excellent, a must try, solid place 3: B good; nothing extraordinary, but would definitely go again 2: C personally would never go again (unless invited by someone and I didn't get to pick the place), but I can see how others might find something appealing 1: Fail. I would never return and recommend no on else goes either.

I've been to many different sushi buffets, and S. Republic is no different. We had a party of 14 people and ordered a a lot of random items to start off. They gave us rolls and food items that we didn't order and left some other items out. This usually happens at places like this. Overall, food was okay and priced reasonably.

Fresh and great tasting sushi I definitely recommend to go here...if you've never been you should try it

Came here on Friday night. We were seated promptly. There wasn't any wait. Service was good and attentive. Now onto the food... extremely disappointed. The portions of sashimi are laughable! Look at the images. They are like sample sizes. Yes, I get you can order multiple rounds of it, but each piece is so small. It also takes them a while to bring out the food! The cooked foods, breading is thick on everything that is fried. The portions are also so small. The short ribs are all bones. The calamari rings are small too. The fried oyster had a sliver of oyster with a very thick layer of batter. How is it ok to serve this food? Also, for what you get, it's expensive! They also raised the prices and now have lower quality food! We have been coming for years. This was the first time the experience was this bad. The quality of the food is terrible. We left feeling quite ripped off for the quality of food we got for the price we paid.

It's been a while since I've returned so when I was given a choice, this was and still is, my go to place when I'm nearby. This visit - lots of sushi on my mind. I ordered the chirashi bowl as my entree and a la carte, sea urchin sushi. Today the Hokaiddo uni was available so I splurged and got it. The California uni was available too but given the option, Hokaiddo is the way to go! The Chirashi is a beautiful bowl of fresh sushi - given my allergy to shrimp, I asked for a substitute piece of fish. They accommodated without an issue. The tuna, salmon, and mackerel was outstanding - so fresh! The octopus, yellowtail and tamago were perfect. I enjoyed this very much... Couldn't finish the rice. The bowl is a great deal and value. For starters, my friend and I enjoyed the lightly fried soft shell crab. It was simply divine - great crunch and a soft shell indeed. The optional scallion and dipping sauce isn't really needed but available. So good! It was super fresh. My friend ordered the Black Cod Bento box. Rice bowl comes on the side. These bento boxes are the best deal: comes with gyoza, fried tofu, edamame seaweed salad, wasabi salt, cucumber salad, both shrimp and vegetable tempura (even eggplant!) and the cod was sitting on top of some sauteed string beans. Both of our dinners came with a choice of house salad or miso soup. I recommended the salad because the dressing is fantastic here - citrusy and light ginger I think, with a bright orange color appeal. The complimentary noodles as a palate starter was also fantastic. There is a parking lot in the rear but I've often found spots easily on the street (metered parking but free after 7pm on the weekdays).
