Extremely disappointed! As a family of 4, we just spent $62 for lunch. Beef hibachi consists of 4 skinny strips of steak on top of a tiny portion (maybe half cup) of veggies, cost is $15.75 Chicken hibachi is 2 slivers of chicken breast over the same small helping of veggies, cost is $11.75. My 7 and 11 year old left hungry! Extremely small portions and very overpriced. When we asked the owner of it was a lunch portion she said no, it was their standard portion. Not accommodating. Very good sushi! Fish was very fresh. I had the sushi for one with salmon and tuna sushi and a tuna roll. Also had a vegetable tempura, which was very good and the miso soup was good. The place was very quiet at 3pm on a Thursday. Plenty of room with very interesting booths (see photo)! Staff was very nice and attentive. Okay the owner Faith is the sweetest smartest woman ever. She can remember a complicated customized sushi order of a table of 9 without writing it down. This lady knows her stuff, runs her business #likeaBoss and cares for ever customer. She meets you once, she won't forget you. And to top it off. Their sushi is BOMB. The owner, Faith, provides a varied menu for those who are trying sushi for the first time to those of us who enjoy that cuisine. The Rainbow Tartar or soft shelled crabs are an excellent way to begin your meal. There are many rolls from which to make your selection and, should you be interested in something from the kitchen, try the Seafood Mi Fun or any of the Teriyaki offerings. Consider ending your meal with an order of Unagi: a slice of eel atop a small roll of warm rice. Nice staff, the booth tables were a little odd to get in and out of though. The food was great! My girlfriend got sushi (can't recall what kind) and I got the Hibachi beef, it was awesome. Was looking for some sushi but didn't know we would find a place as good as this. It's located between the GSP (Exit 17) and Rt 9 and as I was staying nearby it was supremely convenient. Sea Isle is a short drive away but if you are looking for sushi this is the place! Ordered some special rolls and old favorites and everything looked great! The setup and decor of the resturant is very nice and has some really crisp images of a coy pond and Mt Fuji (I believe). Now it's time to eat! Wow!! Great sushi! Good location for a quick stop off the GSP (Wawa next door to fuel up). And yes, the woman who runs the place has a steel trap memory and took our rather lengthy sushi a la carte order (for three people) without writing anything down. Everything came as ordered! The kitchen/sushi bar was well staffed (four guys) but only the one woman working the front of the house. While our service was okay (in and out in about 45 minutes), we saw one table wait 15 minutes to order, a woman wait several minutes to be seated, and another table wait 10 minutes to get their check after asking for it. Make no mistake, this woman is great and works hard and diligently but it is really difficult to hostess, serve AND bus 7-8 tables without any help. read more

The sushi was pretty good I was very happy with it and my seaweed salad. The main lady was running around in there trying to serve all the tables while her very capable staff waited for her direction. She seemed very frantic and controlling. If she would actually allow her employees to do their job the experience would have been that much better. I didn't give them five stars because we had to ask for someone to take our order and had questions only the frantic lady was allowed to answer. We had a variety of rolls and apps our first visit. The Japanese eggplant with bean paste was light and full of flavor. We samples the tuna dumplings which were fresh tuna surrounding a pocket of lobster salad, a Yummy roll (which is a new fav of mine) and a salmon,mango roll that was another special. The location is good,easy parking but the strip could be spruced up. The restaurant,once inside,is warm and inviting.
