I am sorry to have to write this review. This is literally the worst sushi I have ever had. Grocery store sushi would have been several levels up from this slop. Horrible presentation. Using surimi, fake crab. Rolls were drowned in the equivalent of spicy ketchup. $20 for 2 rolls. Sushi is supposed to be delicate and visually appealing. Not all Sushi Man establishments are created equal. I live in Mililani but will drive to Wahiawa for there Spicy Ahi Bowls!!! The location is kind of scary, if you park on the side with Long's, you have to enter through the back door (some shady people on either side). The atmosphere is kind of dingy but the food is not a reflection of that. I don't know what they put in it but I usually get the Spicy Ahi Bowl with mayo and onions (they ask you if you want the mayo and onions). You can have it mild, medium, or spicy. The first time we went I asked for spicy and it ended up being too hot for me (keep in mind I love spicy - I eat peppers and Tabasco on the regular). The medium is still spicy and perfect. I bought it one time for my co- workers who eat at Tamura's and Foodland (Poke Bowl) all the time. They noted hands down this was better. read more

This was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect much here being in a strip mall. I came in at 11:50am on a weekday and the place was empty. I bought the poke bowl here instead at Foodland next door because they had seating. I was a little perplexed when I got the poke bowl and the poke was cut into extremely small cubes. Maybe 3/16ths of an inch. It looked to me like it would be hard to get them that small. Not the usual half inch cube. Any way I gave it a try and was happy. The sauce was in a squeeze bottle in the side (it should have been washed better or replaced) so you could put as much or as little as you want. The whole system worked and it was nice. The biggest issue is that eating such small cubes was hard to do with chopsticks. The only other annoying thing that would keep me from coming back was Fox News blasting on the TV. Not really looking for partisan politics at lunch. Since that only leaves me with the takeout option, I'm not sure that this would be better than Foodland next-door. read more

Love sushi man spots they are the cutest and it's a plus when they also sell boba. Was in the mood for some quick sushi and this spot was right up the road from my moms house so decided to come here. Came in at around 3:30 PM and place wasn't busy at all. There is a decent selection from poke bowls to party platters down to a bunch of hand rolls and much more. Wasn't super hungry so I didn't want anything to big so I ordered the junior pack which came with your choice of 3 poke nigiri's (regular, mild, or spicy) and 1 choice hand roll between tuna, crab, and spam. Went with the mild and spam roll for a little over six dollars. The poke was cubed super tiny which I don't remember but still tasted good and hit the spot. Wish they had simple spots like this in California, but definitely will return when I'm visiting again. Don't expect super fancy high priced sushi here, I like to think of some sushi man locations as little hidden gems. read more

Anytime we have unexpected guests visiting this is oir go-to sushi place for some of the tastiest and fresh dishes. We are obsessed over their Bacon Hand Rolls and usually order 6-8 at a time. Their Spicy Ahi Nigiri and Ahi Poke Nigiri are 'BOMB' too. Personally speaking you cannot get anything there that isn't good. They also have a variety of bentos to choose from for some picky eaters. A huge assortment of Family Platters for the bigger crowds if our state ever lifts the strict gathering rules..but if you have a family of big eaters then they'll be no waste anyway. I can't get enough of their Ikura Nigiri my favorite at any sushi place. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get and their rice is equally proportioned so you don't end up with just a big bite of rice and nothing else at the end. And whether you're ordering by phone, in person or online the service is very friendly, fast and efficient. Also, as a resident of Wahiawa, I'm so glad they're conveniently located near by and I don't have to go too far to get my sushi cravings met. UGH!! Service here is always fast n friendly, and there's even a little tv to watch while you wait for your order. They carry the standard assortment of makin sushi, nigiri sushi, and hand rolls. My favorites are the ahi poke nigiri and the phoenix roll! The phoenix roll is a scrumptious combination of two of my favorites... California roll & spicy ahi. So I'm probably not going to be the best reviewer for all the different types of sushi they offer because... I don't eat raw fish. Yup. No raw fish. Why am I eating here you ask? Because I like the california roll... lol! Ooh, california roll WITHOUT mayo! Yup, that's all I eat hehe! But for some reason... they make the california roll SO GOOD here! Synopsis: For a quick bite in the area, this is the place to go. For what you can get for your buck is quite a lot. I definitely recommend the spicy salmon roll. Or something on the cheaper end. You just have to look at the deals. You can also have a choice of spicy, or spicier, although the spiciest has no significant difference (to me). Recently, however, I have decided to just go to Foodland for poke due to budgeting issues. Environment: A very small area with wooden tables and chairs. There is a television. It is quite dark inside, which makes it not as welcoming. Overall, not a place where you stay-in-dine. People: When I come here for lunch, it's this un-happy guy with glasses whom speaks in a low voice. A huge turn off, but I am not here looking for a dork to date! Gay or straight? I don't know yet. Food: Reasonable in comparison with pricing/calories. But as mentioned before, now I would rather get poke from Foodland for cheaper. Do I really need to have more carbs in my diet? Very good sushi and the price is even better! My husband and I shared a Deluxe Family Platter which was $22 for this huge platter with a very good variety of different sushis. My husband and I both can eat and usually never get full from sushi but this platter filled us both up. Usually we'd be spending more close to $50 for enough sushi to fill us. The atmosphere is blah. You park in a crammed parking lot and chances are you'll see someone who will make you nervous but its worth stopping and picking it up to go. If I could give it 3 stars and a half I would. This place on the inside is very bare and hard to look at when your eating. The place is small, the food is good sized but could use a bit more meat rather than rice in my opinion. Good price, but I would say the food could use a bit more flavor. For 2 California rials, 1 crab salad, and two order of Salmon poke for $23. I honestly think you will leave unsatisfied unless you buy like 3 or f4 orders of one thing, you do get your moneys worth, but you could go and pay a little bit more for better quality and more food. read more

The fish was fresh and good and Future Maki was fantastic.
