My partner and I stopped and decided to give Sushi Lovers a go. When we walked in, we immediately noticed it looked run down and dirty. She and I ordered the Sexy Beach roll, spicy tuna roll and the Mango Tuna roll. The Sexy Beach roll and the spicy tuna roll were edible, but the Mango Tuna roll had a very fishy taste. It was disgusting. They were kind enough to remove it from our bill, after we declined another one. Maybe they should call it the Atlantic City Hooker roll instead of the Mango Tuna roll. On top of the terrible Mango Tuna roll, the service was slow to boot. I'm not sure what took longer, to place our order or to get it. read more

Well, I was having a rough day and wanted to treat myself to some sushi so I went to sushi lover. Ive wanted to try Sushi Lover for a while so I went. I was barely greeted and I had to ask if I am allowed to sit anywhere and was given hand gestures to indicate that I could. Ordered sushi and water. Thee. worst. sushi I ever had !!! The wasabi ball looked/was so old, crusted and dark green that when I tried to take a small piece off to put on my sushi it rolled around my plate without breaking... I decided to not order any more food but wanted try their boba milk tea. Ohhhhhmg.. the boba was disgusting !!!!!! It was hard and tasted like raisins ! I could barely drink it, it was sooo bad. The one is for the nice server that we had who was extremely friendly and polite. The food would receive a zero if possible. While this place is called Sushi Lover and I had originally entered with the premise of ordering sushi, I noticed the huge billboard for pork, chicken or shrimp ramen. I decided that it must be the featured item as it was promptly displayed above the sushi bar. Huge mistake on my part. I ordered the pork ramen which did not look anything like the advertised picture. The pork was dry and chewy. It tasted like it had been reheated many times. The broth was a strange brown color with absolutely no flavoring at all. While our waitress was nice, she disappeared after serving us our food and we never saw her again. Not once did anyone ask if we liked our food nor did they check up on us. We tried to be "sushi lovers" but you made us "sushi haters". read more

The ambient is really nice. The food was great and the prices was okay; but the waitress was not helpful at all. She didn't made any effort to try to make herself understandable; the huge pierce at her mouth wasn't the one to blame; ... not complaining about her choice but disappointed that she didn't tried... this was already uncomfortable then we asked for the difference between few items at the menu and she said look at the description; has it . So; we felt more uncomfortable because as a newbie we were on a mood to try new things . We ended up ordering four entrees. And on the end a nice and helpful waitress came to ask us for desert and she was clear and nice enough to help us in our decision. I use to love this place, but it has definitely fallen off the past couple times I've been there. The waitresses are super pushy and rush you to order. I can't even have some time to look through the menu. The dishes are FILTHY! The past couple of times I've been there, I've had to ask to have my dishes switched out due to left over residue from someone else's meal. Even the soy sauce dish is dirty. Although the food was okay, their customer service is disgusting. They have a waitress with glasses who has a problem with servicing customers of a "darker complexion". For starters, I walked in the restaurant and she completely overlooked me for a couple that came in after me. She completely did not even acknowledge me. When I asked for sauce, I held my hand out for her to look at it and put my container on the counter. It's disgusting that she's a racist and they have her in the front of the house. Secondly, it takes forever to get your food (I ordered twenty-five minutes ago) and I am one of four people dining in at the moment. The sushi itself lacks quality, and I will list why: -rice is sticky -seaweed (paper) is chewy not crisp -fish is chewy! Good fish should be smooth and have almost a butter-esque texture in your mouth.. very soft and non-grainy feeling against the tongue. Bad sushi, like the stuff here, is the total opposite. Trust me people when you eat great sushi you will be forever changed. -Philadelphia rolls TYPICALLY have avocado, smoked salmon, and cream cheese. Mostly every sushi place ever in life serve them this way EXCEPT Sushi Lover! They serve them with cucumber minus avocado. Smh. When I asked for the cucumbers to be removed all I had left what a roll with smoked salmon and cream cheese. One positive is the ambiance- dark with decent music playing, good for a date.
