Sushi Joint rocks! It's a good value, and most of what I tried was very good. There is ample parking on site. The service is fast, friendly and attentive. I ordered a Chef's Bento Box and it was so much food! Everything on my plate was good, except I felt the teriyaki chicken was too dry and the miso soup lacked depth. Other than those two misses, the food was delicious. The sushi tasted fresh- I especially liked the presentation of the tuna, it looked like little rosettes. The tempura battered vegetables were perfect and was marvelous with the ponzu sauce. Overall Sushi Joint is an excellent value and a charming neighborhood restaurant. I'd definitely comeback next time I visit this area.

Happen to drive by this sushi restaurant near our house and due to this decided to give it a try. We will normally drive out to Torrance area for sushi. I was pleasantly impressed with the taste and quality of their sushi. It's not the highest quality but for the price, it was very good. Service was great and friendly. If you live in the area I recommend to give this place a try.

We came by to Sushi Joint in Norwalk to relive some great memories. We used to come to Sushi Joint back in Glendale many times for great happy hour deals and date nights. The staff and chefs were always fun and personable. But unfortunately that location closed years ago per the staff. This was our first time at the Norwalk location and we came for the Mon-Thursday 5pm-7pm. The apps, cut rolls and specialty rolls range from $5-$12!! Such a great deal in today's time. The location has its own parking out with 10+ spots, but street parking is available as well. We came in and were seated quickly. We noticed one of the servers was the same from the Glendale one. The interior decor is vibrant with neon lights and pictures and Japanese themed lanterns. There's a sushi bar and many tables for customers. We ordered off the Weekday Special & one roll from the regular menu. We spoke to the staff about how much we always visited their first location and how we remembered her from years ago. Which was a pleasant interaction for us all. :) We ordered: -Norwalk Roll -Rainbow Roll -Sashimi (4 pc) Mixed -Shishito Tempura -Blue Crab Cut (from regular menu) -Shrimp Tempura Cut The portion sizes of the cut rolls are huge. The quality of the fish was fresh. The sashimi size was abundant. The presentations of the rolls are as vibrant and delicious as we remember. As far as the taste. Great Still very good! We had so much sushi at a great price. We left smiling and happy because Sushi Joint was a memorable place for us. Total bill during special hour menu was $56 before tax. To our surprise, our server gave us some complimentary mochi ice cream. :D Thank you to the Sushi Joint staff for a great visit after all these years. We would happily make time to come to Norwalk just to have a great meal again from Sushi Joint again as they have always taken care of us and treated us like family. ( ^_^)b

My husband and I stopped by here on a Thursday night to celebrate an anniversary. We used to visit the Glendale location long before it closed, and it was one of our favorite sushi spots. We've never dined at this location before. Man, this brought back so many good memories! We got there just in time for their weekday special which is Monday to Thursday from 5-7pm. We ordered the Shishito Tempura, 4 pc sashimi, the Rainbow Roll, and the Norwalk Roll from that menu. We also ordered the Blue Crab and Shrimp Tempura Cut Roll from the regular menu. The food was how we remembered it, so incredibly delicious and at such an affordable price. The rolls and sashimi pieces weren't small, and I'm not complaining lol. The tempura was well-cooked, not soggy, and perfectly crunchy. The shrimp's sweetness came through and the veggies balanced the dish well. I couldn't taste the blue crab right away because of the sauce, but it was still delicious nonetheless. The Rainbow Roll is your standard roll. I like consuming a roll that doesn't necessarily need soy sauce to make it taste better. The Norwalk Roll was called the Glendy Roll from the other location. It's tuna, green onion, sweet sauce, and chili oil on the outside with shrimp tempura and avocado on the inside. It tasted exactly the same. I loved the contrasting textures of the softness of the tuna and the crunchiness of the tempura. Whatever they're using in their sweet sauce will make you want another bite. This roll made me smile the most as I was reminiscing about the happy memories from before. I was glad to make a new one at this location. Their service was excellent. We were greeted as we entered and seated in less than 5 minutes. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Our server checked on us periodically and we also chatted with one of them who used to work at the Glendale location. She was just as kind as we remembered - she even gave us mochi ice cream on the house as we were paying for our bill (thank you so much!). The interior was clean and nicely decorated. They also have many tables for their guests. It's a good spot for a solo date or with a group. The parking lot is limited as this restaurant is a stand-alone establishment. Thank you, Sushi Joint, for the wonderful experience! We left with our bellies full and happy. We are definitely coming back here.

We went in on a Sunday at 2pm and ordered two special rolls and an appetizer of the baked green mussels. The food was delicious and the fish was fresh! The mussels were not fishy whatsoever and were big. The rolls were delicious and flavorful. There are a lot of options on the menu. They have a lunch special menu, bento options, sashimi, sushi, hand rolls, cut rolls, the works!! The service was nice as well as the servers were friendly and attentive. The food came out very quick. The restaurant was clean, had very cute decorations, and had its own parking lot. 10/10 would come again!

Tasty food, great staff .. wonderful! We arrived around 6 PM and were seated quickly, they had drinks out fast... and the specialty rolls we ordered were excellent!

It's been 6 years since I've been back and I've really liked how they've decorated the place. Service was good and for lunch time there was a good amount of people. They have a lunch portion/special along with many other specialty items that are posted around the restaurant. So keep an eye for those items. It's neat that they serve fresh wasabi here so that was a plus. Portion sizes are good, I'd come back again!

Dont sleep on this little "Sushi Joint" in Norwalk. This is not your typical korean Sushi spot, its fresh and has tons of flavor. Their rolls come in different sauces and oils. My go-tos are the Super Rainbow & Mango Tango roll. Sushi & Sashimi are also fresh. Had their Uni while back, it was not bad at all. Staff is friendly, and always have the Millenial play list on blast. They have a BOGO half off, and a happy hour menu with discounted appetizers and small dishes.

We've ordered take out about 3 times in the last 2 months. I think I've only had 1 thing I wasn't too crazy about but it wasn't horrible. Other than that everything else we've had has been really flavorful and fresh. We always order the garlic edamame. It is bomb!! We've had a few issues where we had to wait longer than the quoted time or were told we couldn't go in until we got a call the food was ready but didn't get a call, so that could use some work unless they've worked that kink out in the last month. Overall great sushi and friendly service. read more

Sushi is subpar and fish isn't very fresh. The first time I went their was a trail of ants behind the wobbly cheap ikea tables it was disgusting but I figured I'm here already and it was a Friday night. I should have NEVER gone again, because when I went last time they charged me for sriracha, like a squirt of it for a dollar!!! I was so shocked and they said they charge for dine in now too. Suffice it to say, I will never be coming here again. read more

We were looking for a Sushi out of our LOng Beach area, and saw the good rating for Sushi Joint. Wow! Glad we came here!! First off the place is Super Clean, something you definitely want at a Sushi Restaurant, the staff is very attentive and recommended two great rolls for starter - (Sexy Girl & 911 )sorry no photo, ate them to fast. After the rolls my husband hAd the Bento box and I had another roll. Overall a great experience in an area yoU wouldn't necessarily think of, wilL definitely be back. Thank you read more

We have been coming here for 4 years as we live right up the street. This place has never been inexpensive as decent sushi is expensive but we felt it was inline for what you got. The Sushi is what I would call mid grade, not the best by far but better then most. We eat here about once per month. Tonight I took my wife to dinner here, we were greeted at the door with two signs; to go order inflation fee of 10% to be added to your bill and then a second sign for a 15% inflation fee to be added for dine in. My wife and I discussed the cost increase and we decided to eat and support them as we know that prices are increasing. We sat down and ordered our drinks. They brought our drinks and new menus. And this is the reason for my two star review. Not only have they tacked on a 15% service fee but they have also raised all of their menu prices by 30%!!! Yellowtail Belly sushi last month cost $6.95 and now it's $8.95, Fire albacore costed $15.95 last month and now it's $19.95. I appreciated that they let us know of the 15% service fee increase at the door but I feel that they snuck in the 30% menu increase with the new menus. If we didn't eat here as often as we do then we wouldn't have noticed it. Again, we're reasonable people and wanted to support this business and agreed to a 15% fee but an increase of 45% is way out of line and the quality of the food here absolutely doesn't warrant that price point. Our dinner bill for two with tax and tip was $160 with no alcohol. Unfortunately they have lost our business. read more

Bro, if you're craving sushi and this is the only place around. Please keep looking else where and save your money. This place is trash, spent $80 on old tasteless sushi. On top of that, they charge for anything extra on the side, ex. Sauce, ginger, wasabi, etc. This place is trash. Spicy mayo legit looks and smells like JUST mayo. The albacore and the sauce taste like shit. Probably served us old ass fish. Disgusting. My stomach is turning already. I couldn't finish the food. If a manager sees this review and would like to make this unhappy customer happy again, please contact me and give me my refund, I still have the receipts. read more

The first good sushi place in Norwalk!! Even better than Mama Sushi. We have driven by before, but finally placed an order for take-out (no dine-in at the moment due to COVID 19). My boyfriend got the Norwalk Roll and Sunrise on Ash. I got Dragon roll, Tempy Sweet Roll, and we shared Crab.com roll. I'm glad the sweet sauce came separate because I don't like sauce on my rolls. For 5 rolls, it came out to $61.26 (average $$). In addition, the woman who worked there was very nice. I'm so happy we discovered this local sushi place. Will definitely be coming back! read more

My search for a good sushi spot has come to an end. Sushi Joint has a plethora of roll options for all types of fish lovers. We ordered the Full Moon, New Guy, Godzilla, and Hulk, each was delicious and perfectly proportioned. Service was good and friendly. They are able to accommodate larger parties due to the seating set up. This place is a must try if you are in the area and looking for sushi. read more

My boyfriend and I first time here and it was good I just wished the sushi was cold it felt really warm. The other thing I was not happy was that the crunch roll had asparagus instead of avocado and everything was fried I just wish everything was fresh! We did also ordered the spicy and edamame and that was honestly probably the best part of our whole experience. But FYI they are not spicy at all!!! But I did not mind it just because the flavor was good. read more

I'm going to be nice and give them a 3 star rating. Sushi and rolls are good but their service is pretty bad. Walked in at 7pm and no one acknowledged us. It is currently 7:38pm and still have not been acknowledged and didn't know we had to write our name down on a piece of receipt. There are 4 tables currently empty and have not been spoken to get get any updates or even seated. We are very patient people hence why we are still here but this is ridiculous. read more

Tonight me and my wife decided to order take from sushi joint. Thank god we did. We shared a Godzilla roll, Norwalk roll and a super rainbow roll. All 3 rolls were amazing. We have found our go to sushi spot. Unfortunately we couldn't dine in because of the current state our country is in with this virus. Once this is over and we can start dining in again. We placed an order to go but saw that the dining area was clean and decorated with a cool modern Japanese vibe. The menu is extensive and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of the offerings. The menu has lots of great options that are not sushi. The sushi was tasty and fresh and we also ordered a teriyaki plate. The portions were good and the staff suggested a different option that had more variety with a very small difference in the price. I was very pleased with my plate it was tasty and I actually had enough for my lunch the following day. Overall, we were happy to see a cool and delicious spot right in our community. read more

The best restaurant in Norwalk. It's easily the best sushi spot in Norwalk but I sincerely think it's the best among all other categories. My wife and I had sake, two lunch special (2 cut rolls each) ,and the FBI. All of it delicious. We both look forward to returning soon. read more

I was so excited when I found out a new sushi spot was opening in Norwalk. I went with my family to try it out. It was very clean and good atmosphere . Sushi was fresh and their specialty rolls where so good. The workers where very attentive. For the sushi I give it a 5 stars only reason I Gave it a 4 is because it's a family restaurant but the restroom doesn't have a baby changer ! My child is an infant so I had to go out to the car. Hope they add a baby changer soon and alcohol as well. read more

Best shrimp tempura sushi I have ever had! The prices are really good too and even better when you go during happy hour. The California roll is good too but it is better when you get the crunchy California roll. I didnt like the tuna roll but that is only because I realized I dont like raw tuna. I was so glad to hear there was going to be a sushi place in Norwalk. Today was my first time there. I ordered out. I ordered the Nine One One Roll and Fire Sashimi. Ohhh my.. the Sashimi was amazing!! It was fresh and so tasty! The roll did not disappoint, and had a little kick. Both choices were good. As we walked in a customer said: great food! I thought thats a good sign. He was right, great fresh sushi, tempura perfect- not oily- beautiful combinations of flavors-the customer service was amazing- i am not able to find anything for them to improve. We arrived at the Sushi Joint today around 2:30 p.m. and found the doors locked. Luckily, the customers inside were kind enough to open the door for us, and we were warmly greeted by one of the waitresses. She kindly let us know they close at 3 pm, but she graciously made an exception to let us in at the last minute. We decided to try the Batman, Sexy Lady, Hungover Roll, and the Rolled-up Shrimp appetizer. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. My personal favorites were the Sexy Lady and the Batman Roll. Our total came to $52, plus a $10 tip I gave. The staff were wonderfully polite and friendly, even though they were closing soon to enjoy their lunch before opening again at 5pm, we never felt rushed or unwelcome.
