Sushi Joint rocks! It's a good value, and most of what I tried was very good. There is ample parking on site. The service is fast, friendly and attentive. I ordered a Chef's Bento Box and it was so much food! Everything on my plate was good, except I felt the teriyaki chicken was too dry and the miso soup lacked depth. Other than those two misses, the food was delicious. The sushi tasted fresh- I especially liked the presentation of the tuna, it looked like little rosettes. The tempura battered vegetables were perfect and was marvelous with the ponzu sauce. Overall Sushi Joint is an excellent value and a charming neighborhood restaurant. I'd definitely comeback next time I visit this area.

Happen to drive by this sushi restaurant near our house and due to this decided to give it a try. We will normally drive out to Torrance area for sushi. I was pleasantly impressed with the taste and quality of their sushi. It's not the highest quality but for the price, it was very good. Service was great and friendly. If you live in the area I recommend to give this place a try.

We came by to Sushi Joint in Norwalk to relive some great memories. We used to come to Sushi Joint back in Glendale many times for great happy hour deals and date nights. The staff and chefs were always fun and personable. But unfortunately that location closed years ago per the staff. This was our first time at the Norwalk location and we came for the Mon-Thursday 5pm-7pm. The apps, cut rolls and specialty rolls range from $5-$12!! Such a great deal in today's time. The location has its own parking out with 10+ spots, but street parking is available as well. We came in and were seated quickly. We noticed one of the servers was the same from the Glendale one. The interior decor is vibrant with neon lights and pictures and Japanese themed lanterns. There's a sushi bar and many tables for customers. We ordered off the Weekday Special & one roll from the regular menu. We spoke to the staff about how much we always visited their first location and how we remembered her from years ago. Which was a pleasant interaction for us all. :) We ordered: -Norwalk Roll -Rainbow Roll -Sashimi (4 pc) Mixed -Shishito Tempura -Blue Crab Cut (from regular menu) -Shrimp Tempura Cut The portion sizes of the cut rolls are huge. The quality of the fish was fresh. The sashimi size was abundant. The presentations of the rolls are as vibrant and delicious as we remember. As far as the taste. Great Still very good! We had so much sushi at a great price. We left smiling and happy because Sushi Joint was a memorable place for us. Total bill during special hour menu was $56 before tax. To our surprise, our server gave us some complimentary mochi ice cream. :D Thank you to the Sushi Joint staff for a great visit after all these years. We would happily make time to come to Norwalk just to have a great meal again from Sushi Joint again as they have always taken care of us and treated us like family. ( ^_^)b

My husband and I stopped by here on a Thursday night to celebrate an anniversary. We used to visit the Glendale location long before it closed, and it was one of our favorite sushi spots. We've never dined at this location before. Man, this brought back so many good memories! We got there just in time for their weekday special which is Monday to Thursday from 5-7pm. We ordered the Shishito Tempura, 4 pc sashimi, the Rainbow Roll, and the Norwalk Roll from that menu. We also ordered the Blue Crab and Shrimp Tempura Cut Roll from the regular menu. The food was how we remembered it, so incredibly delicious and at such an affordable price. The rolls and sashimi pieces weren't small, and I'm not complaining lol. The tempura was well-cooked, not soggy, and perfectly crunchy. The shrimp's sweetness came through and the veggies balanced the dish well. I couldn't taste the blue crab right away because of the sauce, but it was still delicious nonetheless. The Rainbow Roll is your standard roll. I like consuming a roll that doesn't necessarily need soy sauce to make it taste better. The Norwalk Roll was called the Glendy Roll from the other location. It's tuna, green onion, sweet sauce, and chili oil on the outside with shrimp tempura and avocado on the inside. It tasted exactly the same. I loved the contrasting textures of the softness of the tuna and the crunchiness of the tempura. Whatever they're using in their sweet sauce will make you want another bite. This roll made me smile the most as I was reminiscing about the happy memories from before. I was glad to make a new one at this location. Their service was excellent. We were greeted as we entered and seated in less than 5 minutes. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Our server checked on us periodically and we also chatted with one of them who used to work at the Glendale location. She was just as kind as we remembered - she even gave us mochi ice cream on the house as we were paying for our bill (thank you so much!). The interior was clean and nicely decorated. They also have many tables for their guests. It's a good spot for a solo date or with a group. The parking lot is limited as this restaurant is a stand-alone establishment. Thank you, Sushi Joint, for the wonderful experience! We left with our bellies full and happy. We are definitely coming back here.

We went in on a Sunday at 2pm and ordered two special rolls and an appetizer of the baked green mussels. The food was delicious and the fish was fresh! The mussels were not fishy whatsoever and were big. The rolls were delicious and flavorful. There are a lot of options on the menu. They have a lunch special menu, bento options, sashimi, sushi, hand rolls, cut rolls, the works!! The service was nice as well as the servers were friendly and attentive. The food came out very quick. The restaurant was clean, had very cute decorations, and had its own parking lot. 10/10 would come again!

Tasty food, great staff .. wonderful! We arrived around 6 PM and were seated quickly, they had drinks out fast... and the specialty rolls we ordered were excellent!

It's been 6 years since I've been back and I've really liked how they've decorated the place. Service was good and for lunch time there was a good amount of people. They have a lunch portion/special along with many other specialty items that are posted around the restaurant. So keep an eye for those items. It's neat that they serve fresh wasabi here so that was a plus. Portion sizes are good, I'd come back again!

Dont sleep on this little "Sushi Joint" in Norwalk. This is not your typical korean Sushi spot, its fresh and has tons of flavor. Their rolls come in different sauces and oils. My go-tos are the Super Rainbow & Mango Tango roll. Sushi & Sashimi are also fresh. Had their Uni while back, it was not bad at all. Staff is friendly, and always have the Millenial play list on blast. They have a BOGO half off, and a happy hour menu with discounted appetizers and small dishes.

The ambiance is inviting the service was okay but the sushi was disappointing. If you want a roll they have quite a selection but the sushi lacks quality. The tuna cut roll tasted like the stuff you buy premade in the grocery store. I have to admit the homeless man laying in front of the door was off putting. If Norwalk wants to hold on to businesses they need to do something about this problem. If I want a sushi roll I may go back and give it another try but as for the sashimi nope. read more

This is a very casual sushi restaurant, that being said the sushi roll selection is delicious. They have non-seafood options a good selection of rolls, sashimi, and appetizers. Prices are pretty standard, I would go to this place with coworkers and friends but its not that great for a date or something more charming. I am stoked there is good quality sushi in my area now! i used to have to go on missions to find quality! service is amazing and the inside is very clean. back when i would eat in the service was fast and polite. now that we can only order take out the service is still very fast and polite. They charge you a "dine in fee" if you eat there, really not cool. They also charge for any sauce you ask for (sriracha, spicy mayo, eel sauce etc.) Kinda sucks because the sushi is actually really good. read more

I love this spot! I came here the other day with my boyfriend because we were craving some sushi and miso soup. The last time we had this spot was about a year prior. They now charge a 15% service fee no matter the size of your party. The sushi was delicious and tasted fresh, their garlic edamame was my favorite! So good! The food is great, the service is alright, they're friendly from what I've experienced but don't check up on you. We needed refills and never saw anyone come to the floor and had to call someone over when they were helping another table out. Aside from that I love this spot. I also love how on their menu they explain specifically what is on the inside and outside!. It is a bit pricey from what I last remember and from some other sushi spots I've had. Spent around $73 for 3 plates, 2 miso soups, 2 edamames and 2 drinks. I suppose that's not a bad deal. I think it was the service fee that kicked in. We normally spend around $50-$60 somewhere else for the same thing. I wish they didn't have odd hours so hopefully they improve their hours. I will be returning soon! I always recommend this spot to friends and family. read more

Food was ok, I ordered the Lobster roll and was not impressed. Tasted ok for the price it was ok. I had asked for eel sauce on the side and it tasted a little watered down. Staff was ok not overly friendly but we did get our food quickly. Felt more like they were waiting for us to pay more than serving the food. The parking lot is small and pulling in and out of driveway was a little difficult with all the cars parked on the street. The inside did seem smaller on the inside, but we had no problem being seated. I saw this place on tik tok and was excited to try, but I probably will not be back. read more

Food was trash, fish was not fresh, service was mid, and they took forever to bring the food. I placed an online order but they don't actually make the food until you get there. Really dark inside and very quiet. Felt like I was in a library and couldn't really enjoy my food. It also gave me a stomach ache. I would not recommend this place ! read more

I really enjoy their basic rolls. The portions, quality and taste are great for their prices. Huge fan of the Philly roll, pacific roll and spicy tuna on crispy rice. I'd say stick to the basics. Until recently, I have enjoyed getting take out from here for the past year, even though it's out of my way. The last time I ordered food, they were having payment network issues and they did not handled well. Today, I have called many times and no one picks up. I only get an answering machine with their hours. I definitely would give this place a 3.5/4 if the service improves. Definitely would help if I can order food once again. read more

We got there close to last call but the staff was very nice and sat us down anyway (Yelp hadnt updated their hours) but had to order right away. Great food. Only issue I have if they have some sort of "service fee" automatically added to the check. I forgot to ask what that was about but overall good experience. read more

This place is like a hidden Jem! I was told about this place by a friend so I went to check it out. I drove by and it doesn't look like much from the outside (or the inside for that matter) but the food?! I ordered what they call "The New Guy" roll and the Special California roll, they were amazing! Savory sauces cover these adding just the right amount of flavor to the already flavorful fillings. I will be coming back and definitely recommend for others to check it out as well! read more

I was in the mood for some sushi so I decided to give the Sushi Joint a try. Let me just start of by saying it was AH-MAZING. As soon as my family and I arrived we were seated pretty fast. The menu was rather large but had so much to offer. I was VERY hungry so I went ahead and ordered some shrimp tempura and garlic edamame to start. Both were very delicious. I also ordered the Norwalk Roll, Hulk Roll, Rainbow Roll and The New Guy Roll. All came out very fast and were so good. The kiddos of course aren't into sushi so they got chicken teriyaki and left with happy tummies. Let's just say we all loved this place and will definitely be coming back for the amazing food and excellent customer service. read more

But as soon as she handed it to the chef, the other waitress came running over and scolded us saying why did we get more and looked like she tried to stop it. She asked us we got and my husband had explained it was just the 2 items plus the missing miso soup. But the chef said it's ok, they can make it. She turned to us and said that was it and no more orders very harshly. We felt so embarrassed and confused. Especially since we had the AYCE and it was only 910 when they closed at 11 (though the door said midnight). We got our final order but it was pretty awkward and hard to enjoy. The same rude older waitress stopped by with the bill and picked it up asking a few times "ready?". When she brought us our receipt, she suddenly was nice and told us to have a nice night and a nice weekend. We were both visibly annoyed and but still polite, handed her a tip and she said thank you over and over. We then left and my husband said the other waitress had noticed how mad he was and might've said something to her. So sad to have had that experience, especially since we had such an amazing experience the first time. Not sure if we will be returning after that or at least for a while. Felt that we were Fat Shamed even though we weren't being gluttons. We did see the 90 minute limit but we had slightly slower service (nothing crazy but damn), and we weren't close to it when the rude waitress started her act. You can't just cap the service at 3 orders, especially if it wasn't big orders or not even close to the end of the 90 minutes.

Luckily, the customers inside were kind enough to open the door for us, and we were warmly greeted by one of the waitresses. She kindly let us know they close at 3 pm, but she graciously made an exception to let us in at the last minute. We decided to try the Batman, Sexy Lady, Hungover Roll, and the Rolled-up Shrimp appetizer. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. My personal favorites were the Sexy Lady and the Batman Roll. Our total came to $52, plus a $10 tip I gave.
