Sushi Itto was amazing! This restaurant is located right near north druid hills and Emory, making it a prime spot for any hungry college kids. They have quite a large menu but I think the best deal is their lunch specials. Starting at $13, each bento box style meal comes with soup, an entree, and plenty of sides depending on your choice. I chose the vegetarian and it was more than enough to fill me up for the rest of the day. They also had hibachi lunch specials ranging around $14 which also included soup and sides with your choice of meat. You can also choose to sub out your soup for salad for $1 if you're craving that signature ginger dressing. There was nobody in the restaurant when I visited and I wondered why. With great food at great prices, this place should be packed! The service was also stellar with our waitress coming to check-in on us every 10 minutes or so for refills and clearing plates. She delivered the check at a perfect time and gladly gave us to go boxes to pack our food. I will definitely be suggesting this spot to others and coming back myself !

I've passed this place a dozen times and always wondered if the food was good. The name always made me laugh :D The restaurant was decorated very nicely and I was impressed with the cleanliness. It seemed to be a family owned spot since there were kids doing what looked like school work with their parents at 2 of the tables. Miso soup was excellent, more flavorful than others I've had. It came lukewarm warm though. I won't hold it against them. I got the deluxe combo which was pretty good. The dragon roll was really good! Glad I stopped by. Next time I'll try to time it for lunch.

This place is pretty good and prices are fair. Nice ambiance and attentive staff. The sushi rice was top quality. The rolls we chose were delicious, my only complaint is that the tempura inside the princess roll was stale and the oil tasted old. The yakitori steak was just ok. I'll be back because overall we were happy with the food.

    shrimp tempura lunch bento

While getting my Tesla serviced, I stopped by for lunch today and ordered the shrimp tempura bento, but was disappointed to find that the shrimp wasn't actually tempura-style. It came out heavily breaded like fried shrimp, which wasn't what I expected based on the menu description. I took one bite, let the server (Eka) know right away that I didn't like it, and asked if I could switch to something else. I was surprised when I was told I could order something else, but I'd still have to pay for both-- despite not eating the first meal. Most restaurants would comp or swap a dish when a customer doesn't like it after just one bite, especially if the item isn't as advertised. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. I left without ordering anything else and felt pretty disappointed by the service. Judging by the empty dining room on a Friday at lunch, I may not be the only one with this kind of experience. I won't be back.

Prices are good! They have some good lunch special options but unfortunately doesn't include all of the vegetarian rolls. I tried to make an adjustment and my server missed it so I had to wait a bit for my correct order. Thankfully the restaurant was empty so it didn't take too long! I love the Inari and Yasai tempura roll. Normally I love the tofu yakitori but this time a few pieces were too burnt to eat. Regardless I generally enjoy it and will likely continue to order online!

Red Rose Roll (left), Shrimp Tempura Roll (no mayo- right) both were fresh and tasty... a must order!

Thank you YelpLand... A really quality place. I had the place all to myself at 5pm ish last week, though there were several to go orders being picked up while I was dining. My only complaint, thus 4 stars, is that I had to wade through the menu to find rolls that didn't come with "crab stick"... you know KRAB. Not only am I willing to pay for fresh cuts instead of the processed filler, I avoid it at all costs.

Pleasantly surprised! This place really satisfied my Sushi Fix. I ordered the Braves Roll and the Volcano Roll! Volcano was one of the best I've had in years. All fresh ingredients and served at the right temperature. Braves roll was tasty as well but not as good as the Volcano. It was quite heavy being that it was deep fried and also had a thin slice of beef. I'm glad I tried the Braves roll but will try another next time... I also ordered the Chicken Yakitori which had a delicious grilled taste. The order was a bit small to be $8.50, but they did pack a flavorful punch and came neatly packaged. In all I spent $45 for the three items and this meal was worth 5 stars! If you see them on Door Dash, I highly recommend.

Wanted some sushi and saki so decided to try a spot in my area not too far from my place. Quite place and the sushi was great. If you're ever in the North Druid Hulls area give them a try.

The Server did her best, yet the snail mode in getting our food for three people made no sense, exactly 22 minutes for three appetizers & four rolls to grace our table. Plus, my unwarranted opinion is that the Sushi Chef kept going to the back or outside for way too many breaks. There was only one other table present with two guests & we could overhear them complaining, which slightly hindered our lunching experience. Yet, understood as they had to ask not once but twice for their food as it was just sitting on the bar for a while. It seems I was the only one happy with our food, as you can't really go too wrong with Veggie Rolls. My two dining counterparts weren't not happy with the seafood rolls or preparation. Collectively, paying $100 overall for food & non-alcoholic beverages was excessive. I'm 50/50 in returning.

OH MY GOODNESS! Okay, I use to be an only Ru San's sushi kind of girl, but this place reminded me not to jump too quickly, and to try new places! I took pics of my food and the receipt because I want to duplicate my exact order the next time I visit; which will be soon! That's how much I absolutely loved it!!! Fresh, fresh, fresh.... And family owned/operated. The service was great and the food top notch, along with quick easy service and being very clean. Don't be afraid to try this place as they are definitely a hole in the wall hidden gem here in Atlanta. You will not be disappointed!!

I got 2 sushi rolls to go (spicy tuna roll and salmon avocado roll). Food was ready when I came to pick it up. The lady at the counter was really sweet. The sushi was pretty good. my only complaint was the sushi rolls weren't really rolled right. Quite a few of them kept falling apart as I was picking them up. It was a little difficult to eat at some points.

Vegetable tempura. Liked the sauces and overall good crunch.

Where to start? Food was tasty, employees uncaring, and well we felt ill for 2 days. Placed a to go order to try a new sushi place and be able to review once more. That being said, my hubby drove 20 minutes to this location. Once arrived, he checked the order. I told him exactly what we ordered so there would be no sad face from me when he got home. Fast forward 1 hour later, no hubby no food, so I call. Well, they have our order to someone else, tried to give us their order. Actually told my husband here take this instead, to which he replied my wife will kill me lol (but I would have had a sad face). We ordered 3 rolls- bagel roll, spicy tuna roll and a rush hour roll with tempura vegetables. Since the rolls had to be made over and they cared for other orders before solving our wrong one the tempura sat and sat.... guy at the register couldn't care less. Kitchen remakes sushi::::wrong again and my husband asked for fresh tempura since we all know if that gets cold it's game over. Reluctantly, they remade the tempura- get home... NO rush hour roll just another salmon roll PLAIN. For the staff of you don't care or don't want to be there. Please find another job. We are trying desperately to help small businesses stay open and nights like this make it hard.

If you are close to Buford Hwy you should try this place. They have parking for a few cars right in front, a smallish restaurant inside with a full sushi bar. Their menu is pretty comprehensive and includes fried rice, noodles, sushi rolls, sashimi, soups etc. As we were a large group we ordered a bunch of things. Most of the entrees are served with a salad and soup making it quite the meal. We ordered the sashimi appetizer, the pork gyoza, shrimp shumai, omelette, combination fried rice, B-52 roll, sunrise roll, crunchy roll I think. Sashimi was fresh - yellowtail, tuna, salmon. The gyoza was delicious and table favorite Honestly, I even enjoyed the pork belly omelette. So flavorful... The fried rice was cooked well but was missing some seasoning/salt. Otherwise good. The rolls were great and we selected ones that had some spice. My favorite was the sunrise roll - a little crunchy inside yet with a slight kick. The staff felt a little overwhelmed with our group but they were polite and helpful. Food was prices reasonably and worth it (for the portion sizes).

That said, locals recommended it, and I usually love sushi as a post-flight meal since it's light and fresh. The ambiance is dreamy, and I really appreciated the attentive service and bar seating. Unfortunately, they fell a bit flat for me. I ended up adding a lot of soy sauce since they sincerely lacked flavor. When the bill came, I realized this probably wasn't the best choice for a quick, light meal. The prices were comparable to California, but the quality didn't quite match. That said, the person sitting next to me mentioned she visits often and felt that the night was a bit off, so I'd be open to giving it another try next time I'm in town.

Service? Excellent. Ambiance? Relaxed and enjoyable. Food? Oh...MAN. Wow…read more.. I came here about 8 years ago with the same family members +1 family friend and we enjoyed dinner then, but it truly didn't compare to this visit. Previously, I had Kang Nam slated as an overpriced, but decent sushi place that serves meals on a more robust scale if you're dining with a party. However, the sushi back then was somewhat underwhelming. Last night, we had a phenomenal set. Hamachi, Otoro, Unagi, Ebi, and more! Every piece was delicately balanced and beautifully arranged. Honestly, I wasn't really expecting too much going in- and I'd only chosen Kang Nam as a place where I could get some decent sushi while my family got something else entirely. My mom had Don Katsu (served with a small dish of Japanese style curry sauce). My uncle got the Tempura Udon, of which they served the tempura shrimp on the side in a bed of tempura flakes. This is kind of genius, because you can make the decision on when you want to dip in your tempura instead of them bringing it and you have to down the tempura fast in order to still have it be crunchy... NOT HERE! It stays crunchy since they serve it separately. Love that. We had refillable banchan: kimchi, king oyster mushrooms, and glass noodles- all of which were delicious. We all received bowls of deliciously simple miso soup and we ordered a set of fried dumplings. Everything was great! That is...until the sushi came out. Wow. Presentation: 10/10. Flavor? 10/10. Portion-size: TEN OUT OF TEN, Y'ALL. The sushi rice was fantastic and they didn't use too much like a lot of places do with their nigiri. The toppings were functionally decorative. The sweet shrimp was especially pretty with two different colors of roe on top. The yellowtail didn't need the toppings it had- green onion and fish/squid flakes(?)- in my opinion, but they added a dimension of texture to the initial bite and a hint of flavor to the finish. The fish was perfect in every way: not too thick, no too thin, overlapping the rice by double to allow for perfect soy sauce dips without soaking the rice, and I just CAN NOT EXPLAIN how good each piece was... The sushi rolls were so delicious and every bite had wonderful textures and flavors, but my absolute favorite roll was the one with the smoked tuna on top- WOW! Absolutely stunned. Never - EVER - have I actually tasted the smoke flavor so clearly and completely. I am a HUGE fan of that one and I can't even remember the name of it...it's in the picture on the plate behind the sweet shrimp. The eel nigiri was also a highlight for me- as it's one of my favorite pieces of sushi, I always order several pieces. I was happily surprised to see they were nearly twice the size I get at other restaurants. Hands-down, the best otoro (fatty tuna) I've had in Atlanta. The sushi chef here also believes in giving special service by preparing some extra pieces for the customers as well. I only ordered one set of otoro, but next time....oh my...my bill is gonna hurt next time. Each 2-piece set of otoro is set at $17, so...yeah... It's going to be SO WORTH IT though. I will 10000% be back- soon. I might just get some Otoro, Hamachi, and one of those smoked tuna rolls...man. SO. RIDICULOUSLY. GOOD. Get in there if you haven't been in a while. Trust me!
