Sushi Garden - Sushi Bars Near Me - Pueblo, Colorado

My oh my, what a great place! My phone definitely didn't eat first, but we all ate good. I had been warned against going to sushi garden because of the potential bill. Let me say, for what we got I was happy to pay and still leave a good tip comfortably. Our server (and co-owner) Tammii was an absolute doll, and took such great care of us while also maintaining the rest of the FOH. If you're looking for a nice/ cozy/clean/quiet/comfortable dining experience, add Sushi Garden to your list! read more

So far everything is good food is good everything that we have had has been good. Never dined at the restaurant but looks like a nice place to take a date out to. Bummer they don't serve green muscles but good job on the sushi and chicken yakasoba. read more

I came in at 7:15 pm based off of the listed hours of closing at 8:00 pm and was told that the kitchen was closed. I would recommend that if your hours are 7:15 don't advertise that you close at 8:00 pm. This is unfortunate because the place seemed nice however I will never step foot in this building again after this lapse in costumer service. read more

Was a bit of a wait, but it was a Friday evening. Waitress seemed a bit confused about menu specials and I had to emphasize what we wanted multiple times, so I was nervous for the bill to come, but everything was priced as listed which was reassuring. Scenery was amazing and gave more upscale vibes. The sushi was very tasty and decently affordable in my opinion! Rolls ranged from $10-20 depending on the type! read more

Gnats everywhere, poor service, salad was oddly warm? Bummer experience for $70. Used to be the go-to but not anymore.

Cozy place with awesome service. The teriyaki is good, they have a good variety of rolls, and you can't go wrong with the classic soup and salad as appetizers. This is one of my go to spots for sushi. read more

Service was excellent, the waiter recommended a sake that was approachable and very tasty. Food was timely and very good! We got four rolls, a crab tempura and each of them had plenty of flavor! Great experience at sushi garden! read more

Amazing price for some amazing sushi. If you're not a fan of rice they have a roll wrapped with cucumber with salmon tuna and avocado with an amazing sauce on it. It's very quite kinda dark but super relaxing. Really sweet servers and food is pretty quick. I'd highly recommend. Psa(the outside looks a lot worse than the inside. Looks are definitely deceiving.) read more

We always enjoy a meal here. Grandkids favorite place for Sushi. Has great options for us non-sushi eaters. Tempura is Yummy.

see, I would love to write this place higher because at the point I used to love coming here, but the employees have become quite rude not very respectful. You would think that they would want a tip, but with their attitude, they don't deserve a dime called at 8 o'clock told me they weren't taking anymore orders even though the place doesn't close until nine. The overall vibe has gotten extremely disrespectful more and more each time I go sushi is always fresh. Recommend Mr. sushi or blue ocean sushi is my favorite food so I've gone to many places in Pueblo and this one is honestly not worth it anymore read more

First experience: Me and my family went for dinner and we were rushed to order and it was an unpleasant experience. We were practically rushed out the restaurant. Second experience: Me and my family decided to give it another try after the unpleasant experience. We get there and are in line to have dinner waited about 5 minutes only to be told that they could no longer sit us for diner because they don't accept walk ins after 8:30 pm this was said to us at 8:36. We will no longer give this place a try. We will not attempt to support restaurants who don't want to support themselves. read more

Tables were very sticky and didn't look clean. The couple that got seated after us got their food before we our drinks. All the food looked and tasted terrible. Some rolls looked like they sat out for a day, just dried up and not fresh. My wife ordered the dynamite roll and the topping looked like chopped up version of that it was supposed to be and tasted like it went bad last week. She only had the one piece of this because it was a raw roll.We aren't ones to complain and the only reason I am writing this is because we brought this up to the staff and and chief. they took off 5 dollars on the bill which it was a 15 dollar roll. Overall not a good experience and will not return. read more

If nothing else is open this place is alright. It's to dark to see anything, our food came out cold and our rolls came out warm. Service was ok, would've been a little better if we were checked on more often. If you want great sushi for a better price go to Miyaki's or Blue Ocean. Hell even Safeway is better. read more

I have been making an effort to support the local businesses. I found this place which appeared to be a gem. I was treated well and had good food if a bit pricey and tipped very generously, again in the hope of supporting the good restaurants that are making an effort. Tonight I got hungry and called on the way over about an hour before closing. I specifically advised them I would be about four minutes and requested a reservation. They happily wrote my name down and said they would have a table ready. When I arrived the man who presents as the head waiter, whom previously had been a highly professional excellent server, advised me the owner had just closed the facility for the night. I advised him I was a little upset having literally just called and confirmed a reservation and asked him to tell the owner I was a little upset. He laughed and waved at the nearly empty restaurant and said 'we have plenty of business' and I don't really care about you or your complaint. I repeated my request to tell the owners and he said 'yah, I'm sure I'll do that; you can leave now' and walked away. Maybe, just maybe, there is a reason you have one table with three people at it on a Saturday night and have to close early. I won't be back. It's a shame. read more

Recently went to Sushi Garden for lunch with a friend on a Wednesday. The outside of the restaurant needs some work and it is a bit dark inside. A very extensive sushi menu with pictures, which a BIG help. The food was good but the service was excellent. And talk about value for your money, you can get a chicken or beef bowl with soup & salad for $10! I got the chicken teriyaki lunch combo for $15 and it came with chicken, rice, 3 pieces of tempura, 4 california roll sushi and 2 pieces nigiri sushi plus soup & salad. I would recommend this place for lunch, definitely. read more

If I could give them -5 stars I would. My daughter and a friend stopped into eat. They Paid $44 for their meal but was charged $75 as the owner added a $30 tip after they left. Total bad guy! Do not eat here. And if you do pay cash only. He is a crook and is very dishonest. He is trying to get his money back. Check your account the day after if you do eat there read more

Got told 20 min until takeout food was ready. I arrived 25 min after ordering. I got told it would be out in only a minute, however I proceeded to wait an hour before it was finished and another customer who had ordered takeout came and went within 10 min. I have worked in two sushi/Japanese restaurants myself, and the food I ordered should have only taken at most 30 min especially considering the lack of customers dining inside the actual restaurant. If there was an issue in the kitchen, it should have been addressed to me, so I could have made a decision to wait for the mediocre food, however I had been told it would be only a minute, 6 times. I believe that even the manager had come out to the front desk to check on things but even then, it felt like I was more of a hassle than a paying customer. To top it off, the chicken I received, wasn't even fully cooked and still partially raw. I will not be going back to sushi garden again and I will informing others to avoid it as well. read more

The food is ok for Pueblo sushi but the host or whoever takes the Togo orders is really rude. They never get your Togo order correct and they act like you are bugging them when you come to pick it up. And the supposed owner doesn't care at all if your happy. Too bad this place is poorly managed, as I'm sure they lose a ton of business. If you eat in, the servers are always really nice though. read more

This is one of the two best sushi restaurants in all of Pueblo. They have a lot of variety they respond to special needs such as tofu wrap for people who are allergic to iodine. My husband called to see if this place takes reservations. They said no. That is fine. We went there and they told us it would be about a 40 minute wait. We were okay with that. Heard good things about food. The front of the house very chaotic. Walked in and they were asking customers how many. When it was my turn I told them 2. Was told to wait in the waiting area they have. I asked if we need to put a name down. They said no. Everytime they came to get someone for their table they would ask the guests if they remembered who was next. Also while waiting, they called a party that was waiting in the area for their reservation, even though we were told no reservations. They specifically said "party with the reservations" Not a very good system. Finally we were the only ones in waiting area. Then 2 more parties showed up. One had 3 and they sat in waiting area, the next had 2 people in their party. They had told them we only have 2 people Host said they could get them seated in a minute and they would be next. My husband and myself heard this and weren't happy about that but thought we will wait and see. The other host came back and said to the other host "I told these people that they were next" That is when my husband voiced his concern and said hey we were next. The rude host said she knew and told us "thanks, we knew that" in a very rude tone. Told us to follow her and sat us at table. She then in rude voice told us that our waitress would be there shortly. We walked out because we knew that we weren't going to get good service. They were busy and we understand that. We also understand mistakes were made. The girls up front very rude. Was excited to try this place. We will never be back read more

Came back to visit my family after a long time and wanted sushi. Before I moved away like six years ago we use to go to sushi garden all the time. I missed it. Sadly the interior hasn't changed but the food has definitely decreased in quality. It wasn't the freshest I've seen before and the taste wasn't good. I also had to change my menu item three times because they were out of popular items that I use to get. I wasn't happy to not get what I wanted. Not my first second or third choices. I settled for a random roll which was then brought to me with alterations because the chef didn't get it right. Instead of sending it back I just ate it. When the bill came I got charged the highest amount for the roll but I didn't pay it and complained. They finally changed the price when the waitress did say she got it wrong. read more

Just walked out! Service was terrible when we arrived we were not treated and we were spoken to like we were an inconvenience. The hostess who was also the waitress took our orders and when she asked if there was anything else I said drinks would nice because it's some she not not ask for in the ten minutes it took her to return to our table and take our order. After we ordered the waitress brings us soup and salad that comes the lunches we ordered. When she brought out our soup she placed four miso soups on the table and with each one pick each bowl up by the rim with her thumb clearly in the soup. I told my wife and kids nit to each the soup. She returned a few minutes later with side salads once again hold the rim of the plate with her thumb in our food. Before I could say anything she was gone. A few minutes later she was helping another table and I got her attention. I politely said I noticed her thumb in our food and immediately she went on the offensive and said she is not required to wear gloves and that is how she always serves people. I asked if she could maybe hold the dishes from the side she said she would not and said she would not replace our food. When I asked if I may speak she immediately said she was. I said okay then may I speak to her manager or the owners she said she was also them. I then immediately got my family up and left. She was so rude and disrespectful. I will never take my family back. read more

Food was really good from sushi rolls all the way to dessert. Really good prices too, only complaint will be that the customer service could be a bit better. Very kid friendly and the wait was only like 5 min. Would recommend. read more

Let me start with the positives: our server, Tami, was super sweet, friendly, and attentive despite being the only server on a busy Saturday afternoon. The prices are decent and the sushi overall is good. Now the negatives: my shrimp had poop in it! When I told Tami about it, she tried to make it right immediately. Unfortunately, the sushi chef (whom I am assuming is the owner) rudely told me they don't clean the shrimp and if I don't like it, don't order sushi with shrimp. I'm sorry, but in America, we don't eat shit. I have been here before and did not have uncleaned shrimp...My advice, don't order shrimp here. Tami was awesome and took the rolls with shrimp off our bill. She gets 5 stars, the sushi chef/presumed owner gets zero. read more

Sushi Garden - Poop in my shrimp - Sushi Bars Near Me - Pueblo, Colorado

We went for my daughter's birthday and they said they didn't have a seat for all of us. I get that a group of 9 is sometimes hard to seat (we have a big family, so we'reused to it) so we said we'd split tables if we needed to if that would work better to fit us. Many of the menu items weren't on the ordering sheet, but we made due. But then then our waitress had us hand out our own soups, then salads, and even drinks. She didn't let us know that our appetizer wasn't available until after she had already brought part of our order and we asked about it. We waited for refills on water and tea that never came. After our first sushi rolls came, one wasn't what we wanted, when I asked about it, the waitress got snarky so I let it go. We never saw the rest of our order. When we finally asked another waiter, he brought out our bento boxes...COLD. We had also asked about our sashimi tray, and it turns out our waitress hadn't put the order in and it was going to be another 15 -20 min wait. The waiter who's attention I grabbed was awesome about it- he apologized profusely and assured us it would be taken care of. He went to get our waitress and when she came to the table she was again snarky and full of excuses, blaming the sushi chef and the kitchen staff, and that when the restaurant is busy that's what we're going to get. We told her to just forget it and to bring us the check. I was frustrated that this was a birthday dinner and told her so, instead of being understanding or apologizing, she just kept getting louder and more aggressive. When we looked at the check, she had left everything on there, and when I told her we weren't paying for food we couldn't eat, she yelled at me and blamed me for not being patient enough to let her take anything off. Again the other waiter was super helpful, super kind and trying to tell her to calm down and to stop yelling, she just ignored him. They took the food we didn't get to eat off, but not the wine or mixed drinks we didn't get to drink, didn't offer to let us take anything we had started eating or even give a discount on that, and still yelled at me the while time we were paying the bill. At the very end we asked who the manager was so we could talk to them later about our visit and she tells us SHE IS!!! What kind of management acts like that? She literally screamed at me through the entire restaurant in front of other customers. What a mistake to take my daughter there for her birthday - she had to leave before she got to finish her dinner much less the mochi she wanted or any of the other things that make a birthday dinner special. And now we're out $162 and still had to stop & buy the kids fast food for dinner. read more

I came here with a friend who loves sushi and he said this place had the best sushi in the area. I did not have sushi but I had a chicken bowl with vegetables and rice which came with soup and a small salad. Everything tasted freshly made and was presented in a very attractive way. The chicken meat was juicy and flavorful the vegetables were perfectly done, not raw but not mushy. The rice was very good, too. The soup was very tasty! The place was clean and the dining room was filled with peaceful music. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place to people who enjoy good food! read more

The service was really slow & they seemed pretty understaffed. Our waitress was very nice but forgot about our table for the entirety of our meal. The sushi was good, not the greatest I've had in Pueblo, even with Pueblo's fairly low standards. It was room-temp when it got to our table & I've always been a little grossed out when sushi isn't cold or at least somewhat cold. Kind of underwhelming, but hey, sushi is sushi. Also, the actual menu & the sheet where you place your order didn't really align. Some of the sushi rolls on the menu weren't on the sheet & vice versa. However, I really loved the atmosphere. The interior is beautiful & classy & everything seemed clean. read more

Surprisingly large selection of rolls (50+), including some I had never seen anywhere else before. Relaxed atmosphere, although the space was clearly something else before being a sushi house, maybe a sports bar. The strange French language covers of soft rock songs was somewhat disconcerting though. Prompt service on the rolls, but that may have been helped by the fact that there were only four tables, including us, on a Monday night. Four rolls + 2 soft drinks = $30. read more
