    Overpriced sushi

Decent sushi, when you are lucky to bite into any of the actual fish. The fish itself it's cut sooo thin that it melts in your mouth! The nigiri plates are instead well proportioned in rice and fish. But cost way more. Nice location. Waiters didn't stop by once. Not a repeat

It's OK for a quick sushi fix. It's a lot higher than other local sushi tracks like Akira and Hana. But the quality was pretty good. Service was quick and readily available. Tea is $1.00 when it's usually free at sushi restaurants. I was seeking a cucumber wrapped roll but didn't see one. The inside is the basic track booths and stools for single patrons.

Seared Salmon (no eel sauce, spicy mayo only) Huge generous cut & YUUUUM!!!

My go-to conveyor sushi! The Seared Salmon is THE BEST! I ask them to only put spicy mayo, skip the eel sauce and it's GOLDEN!!!

Seriously not kidding when I said these pieces were huge. These are almost two-biters.

Heading back home from work, and....rrrrr...the tummy's rumblin' again. Time to grab a bite. I was in a sushi mood, and remembered there's a Sushi Chiyo just a mile off 26 down Cedar Hills, so a quick detour had me there at around 2:00 on a Friday afternoon. Never been to this location before; the place is pretty dead at that time, plenty of seating available. Bonus: it was happy hour (roughly 2-3:30pm) so all plates were at a discount. They mostly had rolls going by, and given I'm not much a fan of mayo, spicy mayo, or crunchy bits messing up my fish, I opted to order a couple Nigiri selections (salmon, mackerel). In a couple minutes the chef handed me my plates and...wow..that's some generously-sized nigiri! (See photo--it's almost as long as my hand). These were almost "two-biters" and that's just the way I like it. Rice was mildly seasoned and was cooked just fine. Fish tasted exactly how it was supposed to. I've hit a LOT of conveyor-belt sushi places. Most are unimpressive, with high prices and pinky-length sushi bites, leading to high piles of plates stacked just to fill the tummy and an empty wallet as your only consolation for visiting. Some have techno-gimmicks like touch-screen ordering and landfill-filling toy prizes for eating x number of plates. Others just have nothing at all to offer. Not here. I managed 4 generously-sized plates of Nigiri and one roll of some kind and headed out very nicely satisfied for $17 including tip which is just ridonculously low for the amount I ate. Smiled all the way home to Forest Grove. Definitely adding Sushi Chiyo into my rotation when I'm in the area; while this isn't sit-down omakase-quality sushi, it's way up there in the ranks as conveyor-sushi places go.

As far as conveyor belt sushi goes, I think this is the best you can do! Our sushi all tasted very good and fresh, for the most part (the first roll I grabbed was a little too warm for my liking, which threw me off a bit). I would've liked to see a little more variety of rolls on the belt, but it was easy to order the roll of your choice from the servers, whom were attentive. The restaurant felt clean and well kept up. Prices were also very fair, my wife and I made out for only $40 after the tip!

Sushi Chiyo is a great stop if you want fast service and the whole revolving sushi experience. We had a LOT of the seared salmon. Think it's the best thing on the menu

Top notch sushi!! When it comes to raw fish, some of us are a little bit more skeptical. I am one of those. When you walk in the place is vibrant it screams Northwest and Portland. When you start looking at the sushi available, the fish is bright brilliant all the colors you want to see when it comes to fresh. Salmon is Pacific delicious, tuna bright, red, beautiful coloring. With all the options in town this is definitely my preferred. Staff there are kind and always willing to help out. Most importantly, the food is done correctly. It is fresh. I come from a culinary background and so that is another reason this place stands out.

    Calimari.Just ok.

We have been in to Sushi Chiyo twice a long time back and it was ok, so when we ordered sushi late one night as a cheer up situation we figured it would be ok again. Other sushi places that were close were not open for delivery. And it was. Just ok. Not amazing. Calamari through Door Dash is probably never a good idea. It was kinda cool ie cold. And the pieces were not all totally coated in batter. I will eat squid but I do not wanna see it lol. j/k. We had a variety of nigiri, the sake was my very favorite. It was cold and fresh and the rice was good. The unagi nigiri seemed off like way too soaked in sauce. It had hard rice. The inari was wet and also had hard rice inside. I shouldn't get it anywhere but Uwajimaya anymore. Theirs is perfection. Some of the rolls were not what we ordered. My kid likes California roll but not with raw salmon on top, so it was totally not chosen that way, but that's what we got, and two of them! I ate that and it was good but kid was disappointed. I think when they are out of stuff they just throw in what they have and that does not always work well for picky palates like my kid's. California roll, cooked salmon yes. Fine. Raw salmon is a big nope. Kid did enjoy their Vegas roll and tamago. The sesame balls were rock hard and there was no saving them. Sad. Anyway. It was still sushi, it was ok, and we just won't order delivery again. We might go in, when we can control what we get a bit more, if we are yearning for it and nearby.

Love this place so much that it's a place I take all my guests to when they come to visit. Their quality of fish is so good and they are generous with their cuts. Seared salmon is my absolute favorite, no other place serves it the way they do with the sauces on top. Their service is excellent, servers are always checking in. What makes this place even better is that they have happy hour where plates are discounted during the weekdays. We always find our way back here whenever we're wanting sushi!

    Calamari beyond over fried

Cedar hills has a great collective of eateries but Sushi Chiyo does not make the list of go to spots. Don't go, Not even if you're starving. Cheap ingredients and sparsely available fish. The same three ingredients of fake crab, spicy mayo and tempura flakes with cucumber were remixed into a variety of repetitive flavors. No tuna no salmon or hamachi no unagi. Barely any avocado. Food costs are rising but this shouldn't be passed onto customers especially at a $3.99-$5+ cost per plate. The udon was an offense to any Japanese foodie. Over boiled noodles slopped into a bland dashi. I watched the kitchen chefs eating at the end of the bar as I was trying to stomach the udon. They enjoyed their home cooked food with corn on the cob because the food in house is just unappetizing. The calamari arrived over fried to the point the squid was burnt and stringy. The sushi rolls on the belt had no variety. Fake crab inside or pressed on top over the roll that was it. It's not even mixed with kewpie like sushi land used to do. So sad the execution and quality are offensive to any sushi chef. Less than 5 plates between two people and the bill soared to nearly $40. They've been in business for 7 years. I can't imagine who's been eating here and actually calling it good. The workers are from China (their ethnicity isn't the reason the food sucks). It's the management fault for their food cost cutting and poor training. Smashed rolls and dry rice lacking any flavor or resemblance to actual sushi. It's worse than grocery store cold sushi with rock hard rice. The hibachi orders looked just as horrifying. What is this place like seriously...まずい!!!

    - mediocre conveyer belt options - good customer service to order through, especially if you cannot find what you would like to eat - pricier than other more authentic made to order sushi places - they didn't have ginger on the top and it seems you have to personally ask, including spicy sauce (mayo + sriracha) - hot green tea $1, most places serves that complimentary - sushi pieces are small and ingredients aren't as fresh as expected, anything with avocado it's been sitting there too long so it starts to wilt/get soggy and turns black - fun if you like to do conveyor belt seating otherwise for authentic Japanese sushi dining experience would recommend elsewhere

The front of house staff was excellent! The tables were fairly clean but it was giving a low budget Vegas vibe with the robots that deliver the drinks... it almost felt like if the people who brought you Chuck-E Cheese came up with a sushi concept... ... it was a big No to the food. The crunchy roll was what I liked most but even that was not great. It seems like they add "Japanese Mayo" to almost every plate and on every roll in some way. The wasabi was super sus. The ginger looked like it was in a little trash disposal box and just sat on the table for guest after guest... gross... who knows what could have happened to it! Just way too much mayo... did I mention that yet?!? The wagyu was so chewy I ended up spitting it out... both pieces. The California Roll had way too much mayo... ...the novelty of the belt can only get you so far... and in this case it carried me right out the door with no intention of returning again soon... especially with so many highly rated options near by...

Seaweed Salad (3/5): Fine and fresh, but pretty average. Sake Nigiri (3/5): Okay, but a bit heavy on the rice compared to the fish. Grilled Steak Roll (3/5): Steak, avocado, and cheese. It was fine, but the cheese flavor was too strong and there was too much rice, which took over the bite. Seared Salmon (5/5): Wow. This was the highlight of the meal. Very tender, perfectly seared, and full of flavor. This alone is a reason to come here. Smoked Salmon (3.5/5): Good and nicely balanced, with fish that was not too thick and a decent amount of rice. Edamame (3.5/5): Beans were good inside, though the pods were a bit firm and cooler than expected. Service: Friendly and helpful, always with a smile. Ambiance: Small cafeteria-style setting with rotating sushi on a conveyor belt. Simple, casual, and good for a quick meal. Overall, some items were just okay, but the seared salmon really stood out and made the visit worthwhile. I would come back for that and try a few other plates.

This was another sushi track restaurant, but as compared to Sushi Hana and Kura Sushi, i would actually give this place higher marks. The service was minimal obviously, since not much interaction with staff, but I decided to tip 15% because the prices were so reasonable. Under $12 for 4 rolls.
