I love the design and pictures on the walls. It is small but quaint. The service has always been A-Mazing. We come here often and it is always busy. They offer AYCE and ALA Carte. They have changed their menu 3x but some of our favorites are still on there. I am sad they no longer have the shrimp pop. It was crispy, light and the sauce that came with it was delicious! I would sometimes dip my sushi in it. They also no longer have mochi! Which is always my go to for dessert. It is the perfect little sweet treat after a large meal. Tried the strawberry niogri sake and it was delicious and it has 8% alcohol but it tasted like drinking a slush. Definitely getting again! Besides the changes, we usually get the same things when we go but do like to try new rolls. Everything always comes out fresh and with lots of flavor. The spicy garlic edamame is always a hit and miss at places but they must have changed their recipe because tonight it was delicious! Our go to are caterpillar, love affair, coconut lover, dragon roll, and a few others we decided not to get today. My fiancé decided to try the red tiger, angry dragon and DJ. He devoured them and said they had the right amount of heat. I love the fried brussel sprouts but it had a little much eel sauce which made them really sweet. The veggie tempura is always my favorite and their dipping sauce is also my favorite sauce to dip my sushi in. I ordered shrimp and crab nigiri and there was like a 1/2 teaspoon of rice which was a little odd to me. Never seen such little rice on nigiri before. Overall it is one our go to spots and we always recommend them to family and friends. If you come after 9pm the dinner AYCE is the same price as lunch. (Lunch $27/ Dinner $34)

We have been going to sushi bomb for years and have always really enjoyed it. Ive noticed that the staff has seemed to have somewhat of a turnover but everyone is very nice. We were there a couple weeks ago and the quoted 40 min. Wait time was actually 1hr 10min. The service was slow moving but we didn't mind because it was very busy. Then they forgot one of our parties order so he sat for 30 min after our food came waiting patiently until we asked the server who was surprised it never came out. Then a drink wasn't brought. Everyone was in good spirits and we were just going with it at that point. I think one of the rolls was also forgotten. There wasn't much consistency with the service....at all. What is consistent is the food, it's always on point and the staff is always nice. I was surprised however there wasn't an offer to take even a drink off the meal after so many mishaps. If I have a lot of time and patience I will go back, if it's an occasion like a birthday we were celebrating last time we were there, I might think twice.

Nigiri
Jeffrey H.

We've always loved coming to Sushi Bomb in the past. The staff was consistently friendly, the atmosphere was always vibin', and the food used to be excellent. The nigiri was perfectly balanced with little to no rice, allowing the flavor of the fish to shine, and the rolls were always flavorful and well put together. Unfortunately, tonight was a very different experience. The nigiri had way too much rice--so much that we couldn't even taste the fish. The rolls were noticeably larger, but only because they were packed with excessive rice rather than quality balance. We're not sure if there's new ownership or changes in the kitchen, but the food didn't sit well with either myself or my wife. The only reason this visit earned 3 stars is because the staff remained friendly and welcoming. Sadly, based on this experience, we won't be coming back anymore.

Waited almost 30 minutes only for this butter mushroom ): That includes getting the order and getting it to our table.
Arielle C.

I've been to Sushi Bomb before and used to really enjoy it, but this time was disappointing. It's clear they're short-staffed--there was only one person handling the orders and he was also serving customers, which created a very inefficient flow, especially during lunch rush. To make matters worse, the staff member was drinking on the job, which I felt was unprofessional, particularly with the place getting busy. I understand it's a small space, but when it's peak hours, that should definitely wait. I also overheard that the kitchen was backed up, which shows that staffing issues aren't just front-of-house. During busy times, they really need more workers to keep up with demand and maintain a smoother experience. Sadly, based on this experience, I don't think I'll be returning to Sushi Bomb. I hope they can take this feedback into account and improve moving forward.

Service was okay. The server did a good job explaining ayce vs alacarte Food tasted amazing. Several hours late it was not so amazing when it came up, and we were in the bathroom.

It's been 8 years since I have been here. Not because it's bad but because I don't live close enough. However, I was close today and here we are. The sushi was delicious and the service was excellent. Atmosphere was nice. This restaurant is worth the visit!!

Are there any take out specials? Or do people actually pay the menu price for a roll?

There are no take out specials, I highly recommend eating in The all you can eat is the best price. Paying menu prices per piece will add up quickly. Plus you get to try many…

Do you have no rice rolls?

Yeah they do

Are they offering curbside pickup?

Yes! Just call ahead to place your order.

Has there been a change to the way you allow guests to dine? Do I have to schedule a reservation, or can I still walk in like before?

Have to have an appointment since Obergruppenführer Steve Sisolak announced his last "statewide pause." We came in and had to make an appointment for 2 hours later, they would not take us in.

How many people are allowed in a party due to COVID restrictions?

We've been there several times since social distancing was implemented. We've seen parties of 6-8. They rearrange the tables to accommodate larger parties. Enjoy !!

How much is ayce and when? Even their online menu doesn't list this

It's about 27 and starts at 3 or 4

Sushi Tanuki offers an enticing proposition for sashimi devotees: an 18-piece Deluxe Sashimi…read moreassortment for $58, accompanied by miso soup and salad, with uni, ikura, amaebi, ocean trout, and the chef's selection of fish comprising a notably generous presentation. While the economics are persuasive, the gastronomy proves far less so. Substantial cuts and premium ingredients confer visual abundance upon the platter, yet neither abundance nor nomenclature can compensate for fish whose defining characteristics remain frustratingly inarticulate. Sashimi permits almost no culinary camouflage. Texture, temperature, knife work, intrinsic flavor, and the condition of the fish assume disproportionate importance when cooking and elaborate seasoning have been removed from consideration. Sushi Tanuki's assortment possessed the requisite variety but seldom the corresponding finesse. Tuna and kanpachi began agreeably, their textures sound and their flavors unobjectionable, although both lacked the lucid, species-specific character capable of transforming mildness into delicacy. Their restraint approached anonymity, with even sparing applications of soy sauce and wasabi readily eclipsing nuances too faint to retain an independent presence on the palate. Madai proved more problematic. A discernible fishiness emerged as a return flavor after the initial impression had subsided. Similar notes subsequently appeared in later pieces of tuna and kanpachi, expanding the concern beyond an isolated imperfection. The unwanted flavor persisted more vividly than the desirable characteristics of the fish: sweetness remained elusive, savory depth barely registered, and clean marine freshness gave way to an unpleasant fishy aftertaste. The reversal is particularly damaging in sashimi, where refinement depends as strongly upon purity of finish as upon the initial impression. Uni escaped excessive salinity and pronounced fishiness, modest praise for an ingredient capable of far greater eloquence. The expected interplay of sweetness, brine, creaminess, and lingering oceanic richness never acquired compelling definition. Amaebi likewise remained acceptable rather than seductive, missing the delicate sweetness and almost silken tenderness capable of making excellent sweet shrimp memorable. Across an assortment of markedly different ingredients, too many selections arrived at the same disappointing endpoint: pleasant, technically acceptable, and strangely inexpressive. The accompanying salad introduced a ginger dressing whose sweetness overwhelmed the ingredient named in its description. Ginger's aromatic pungency, peppery warmth, and refreshing sharpness were scarcely perceptible beneath a saccharine profile. Miso soup repeated the imbalance, with sweetness occupying the foreground while dashi, fermented soybean depth, salinity, and umami remained curiously attenuated. The resulting broth lacked the savory resonance and equilibrium expected from so elemental a Japanese preparation. Hospitality was cordial throughout the meal, although familiarity with the menu did not equal the friendliness of the service. The chef-selected sashimi arrived without identification of its components, leaving several pale-fleshed varieties indistinguishable without assistance. An inquiry required the platter to return to the kitchen before tuna, kanpachi, madai, halibut, and other selections could be identified. Uncertainty over whether the orange-fleshed fish represented salmon or the ocean trout specified on the menu further diminished confidence in the presentation. Species identification forms an integral part of appreciating a chef-selected progression, particularly when several selections are visually similar. The portions were indeed generous: substantial cuts, a broad assortment, and the inclusion of uni, ikura, and amaebi make $58 appear unusually favorable by ingredient count or price per piece. Culinary value cannot be adjudicated by arithmetic alone. Premium sashimi warrants its price through immaculate handling, textural precision, clarity of flavor, delicacy, and a pristine finish. Sushi Tanuki presented the components and proportions of a premium assortment without consistently achieving the corresponding refinement. The least flattering comparison comes from far less expensive all-you-can-eat sushi establishments capable of serving sashimi with comparable, occasionally greater, delicacy. A dedicated $58 sashimi presentation should demonstrate a perceptible superiority in quality rather than rely upon generous portions to justify the premium. Sushi Tanuki never convincingly achieved one. Friendly service and liberal portions provide genuine merits, but muted flavors, recurrent fishiness, poorly balanced accompaniments, and uncertain product knowledge culminated in a meal too imprecise to inspire a return.

I went with the 12 piece toku-jo sushi, which is essentially the chef's selection of their best offerings. The assortment was so creative and eclectic. I have been eating sushi for years, and there were some pieces I didn't recognize. But everything was downright delicious and so fresh, including one of the most yummy fatty pieces of otoro I have ever had! The staff are so sweet and attentive. There were several ladies who seemed to be sharing hostess and server duties. All were so kind and struck the perfect balance between ensuring everything with the experience was perfect, but not being too overbearing or obtrusive. One of the sushi chefs even came out to personally deliver a dish to the table next to me, and she made a quick stop to ask me if I was enjoying her creations. The downsides. I was by myself and arrived just after opening at about 5:20pm. The place was totally empty except for one single table. I didn't have a reservation, and the hostess was really agonizing about seating me. I was by myself and the place was empty! She even had to go in back and presumably speak with the manager or the chefs to get approval to seat me, which she finally did. But by the time I departed at about 6:15pm, only one other table had arrived and seated! I just find stuff like that annoying. But I guess they take their reservation policy seriously, so just call ahead, especially if you are a group. It appears they are closing soon for renovations. I sure hope that includes upgrading their air conditioning. Granted I visited on a 113 degree day, but the A/C system was not keeping up. I was sweating at my table, and actually accelerated my eating so I could leave and get back into he comfort of the cold AC of my car. It was that hot in there. A Las Vegas restaurant MUST be prepared to provide a comfortable environment on even the hottest of days. But all-in-all I recommend this spot, and I will be back, **with** a reservation and on a **cooler** day!!

First, we were warmly greeted and seated at our reservation time. There was a table of three and what I assume were a few regulars of about three who came in and sat at the bar. We started off with hot tea, one order of Miso Soup, Shrimp Tempura, and Scottish Salmon Tartar which were all great. Ordered the 15-piece Toku-jo Sushi and Sashimi Plate as our individual main dishes. The 15-piece Toku-jo sushi came out first and I told my other half to start as I was expecting the sashimi plate to come out soon. The meal looked great, but he didn't think it tasted as fresh as before. He ate slowly as we were waiting for my dish to come out and he stopped eating because 20 minutes later my order was still not out. After about 15 minutes, a server came to tell us that the dish would be out soon. Five minutes after that another server came to inform us that the chef is still working on it. When the dish finally arrived, it was beautiful (see pictures) but the meal was ruined by the delay. We finished the night by ordering the green tea as dessert and that was one of the better green tea ice creams. I think they book reservations according to what they can manage, and I assume with whatever fresh ingredients they have on hand for service that day. Many reviewers noted that the place is practically empty to empty when they walk in and yet the servers need to check with the kitchen to see if they can be seated. Sadly, a meal that we were looking forward to came up short. Disappointing also was that no attempt was made to rectify the situation such as comping the hot teas or dessert.
