I ate here two nights in a row because it was very close to our hotel, and my party was desperate for any sort of Asian food.
This sushi is not sushi that an international traveler would expect. Sushi, or any Asian food in general has evolved to be quite different in Brazil.
That being said, I think it is the norm for the Asian food here to be a little over-salted.
I ordered a salmon-skin roll, and they put a LOT of sweet soy sauce in the salmon skin. It was almost too salty. If someone wants to order the salmon skin roll, maybe you can ask for them to serve the sauce on the side, and not pre-mix it in for you.
They also use the same sweet soy sauce to flavor their yaki-soba, or at least that is how it tastes to me and my group. Their morning glory and mushroom dish also tasted of the same sweet soy sauce flavoring.
The one thing dish that is closest to Japanese food elsewhere in the world, is the miso soup. The seafood soup is also not bad, but it is a little saltier, and sweeter than the miso soup.
As far as the actual sushi was... I only ordered ikura. The ikura was not bad, it was pretty fresh.
This place is also quite generous and serves you a free sushi dish appetizer. The dish is like a fried sushi roll that has some cream cheese in it.
Overall, this place satisfied our craving for Asian food. the prices were also reasonable, which is why we returned for a second time. read more
