Wedding dress
Heather G.

Where do I begin? If you're looking for an amazing seamstress that knows their stuff and is at the top of their game, then look no further. Susan helped me completely overhaul my wedding dress. When we were done with it, it looked nothing like it did originally. And I mean that in the best way possible. She listened closely to everything I wanted and communicated with me in a way that put me at ease. I had crazy bridal nerves. And omg. The bustle that she put in was breathtaking. People would not stop talking about how absolutely gorgeous my dress was. I can't stop staring at the wedding pics. I can never thank her enough. Run don't walk to Susan! She is a miracle worker.

My wedding dress was a straightforward crepe material that needed to be taken in a medium/small…read moreamount for a wedding dress - an easy job on the surface, but it needed to be done well to really fit well because of the style. This placed aced it! After my first fitting, the dress needed a few final-touch adjustments to really fit its most flattering. I explained the nuance & what I was looking for, and next appointment it was perfect. They also advised PERFECTLY on the length, the train, and the bustle. These guys know their stuff. In addition to their craft, their turnarounds and prices are incredible - that's what bumped them from "excellent" to "rave about them to friends" in my book. I was able to book my appointment same week, the first turnaround was one month, and the second turnaround (which was no additional cost) was another week. They also quoted me about 1/3 of what an experienced, luxury wedding dress alterations specialist quoted me. Bonus - since my wedding, I took in 2 pair of jeans for hemming and they did a great job with those two. turnaround was only a month

I did not expect the experience i had in light of the reviews i've seen. I had one large loose…read morecotton shirt to be copied and remade exactly as it was. i did say the top button could be left off. and i had two long dresses to be hemmed. one came out perfectly and the other was an eyelet hem that had to be taken off and replaced at the correct length and with the side slits to remain the same length as originally. The hemmed eyelet dress is 1-1/2 inches too short on one side and is lopsided. The shirt being copied came back with plastic snaps instead of buttons. i asked for those to be replaced with buttons. the tailor asked for two extra days to redo and i gave him four extra days. This afternoon i went to pick up and was told they were waiting for buttons they ordered. three 1/2" white buttons and buttonholes could not be put in over 4 days??? !!! What a waste of $300+ If someone had called me to explain it would have helped.

Just moved to LA and was in need desperate need of a good and trusted tailor. I had a bridemaids…read moredress that was huge on me and William was able to bring it in and hem the length in a week! When I tried it on I initially thought it was too tight and he was willing to bring it out again with no issues. I tried it one more time just to be sure and turns out I was just wearing it too high lol, the dress fit perfectly! During the pick up I also brought in a skirt that was just a bit too loose hoping to fix it in time before my trip. I found out altering it would've cost more than it was worth so I decided against it. William instead offered to do a quick fix on the spot instead of fully altering it AND didn't charge me for it, so kind of him. William and his wife have been in business for 33 years and are experts at what they do. They're extremely kind and honest, I'll be coming here for all my alterations now!

William is an extraordinary tailor! He has the magic touch to make your garment look exceptional…read moreand custom fitted. I appreciate his great eye and understanding of menswear and fine details as well. I first visited this tailor a few years ago with a blazer that I had bought overseas. Because of my height, jackets always have to be cut down and made slimmer, and buying off the rack suits is a nightmare because the pants are always way too big in the waist and require a lot of tailoring. William did the most beautiful job on a blazer that I bought in Spain and even added special stitching to the button holes; it has been my favorite jacket ever since. Last week I brought in a new suit and some shirts to take in, and he did the most incredible tailoring job once again. I've had suits tailored in Rome by some of the best tailors my friends recommended, and honestly I think William is better than any of them. The shop is also decorated with antique cameras on display and lots of interesting things to look at. The whole staff is super charming and nice. There's parking in back in a small lot with meters and I believe the shop has a couple of parking spots of their own, but I haven't used them. I give this establishment my highest recommendation as a tailor and also the prices are a good value. Turn around is quick as well. The jackets and suits that I have brought here have always ended up being my favorite and best fitting pieces.
