The practice seemed more impersonal. For example she tried to direct me away from monitoring my liver scores when I started taking statins. Although she had previously had the position that medications always have risks in promoting alternative medicine considerations and I had told her of my brother's death from non alcoholic cirrhosis due unmonitored prescription of cholesterol medication she tried to talk me out of the monitoring. He becomes very familiar with his patients' case histories and takes that into account in doing his diagnoses and prescribing medicines. Dr. Lefevere even calls his patients just to check up on them. This is almost unheard of, at least in my experience. Dr. Lefevre gets to know his paitents and bonds with them. My writing below will make it clear how Dr. Veronica brought me back from the brink when I was facing serious health crisis. Having exhausted all the options offered by the medical professionals,  I was lucky to have made contact with Dr. Veronica in 2016.  Continuing with the mainstream medical treatment would have further contributed to my spiraling down health situation.  Briefly, I had been suffering from severe skin itch/dryness syndrome for ~5 years before I contacted Dr Veronica.  The typical cookie cutter treatment was topic skin applications, antibiotic and steroids.   It seems the repeated antibiotic/steroid cycle had compromised my gut functionality creating close to leaky gut syndrome exacerbating food intolerances and hyper skin sensitivity.  Dr. Veronica was able to diagnose it as a serious case of Candida imbalance.  She took charge of the situation and with knowledge and experience behind her put me on the path of recovery. Dr. Lee is an amazing doctor who really cares and listens to you. She is very knowledgeable about…read morehuman anatomy and physiology, and works hard to see her patients. If you are suffering from a chronic condition she will fit you in, and she has a great personality. She specializes in helping chronic cases including sports injury, inflammatory disease, and immune syndromes that are rare. No illness puts her off and she will be honest with what she can do for you. What I like best about her is that she does not use toxic medications and is supportive even if you cannot use what usually works for other people. She will work with you until you are well, and if you relapse or develop a new medical issue she won't give up on you. I started off seeing her for Schoenfeld's Syndrome. Even though she was unfamiliar with it she believed me unlike another doctor (Dr. Shafai) at this practice. She treated me to remission in 10 weeks. When I got a concussion in a car accident she helped me through that. When I relapsed due to toxic medication she again treated me again. I cannot recommend her enough!
