Great coaches/trainers as I was new to this I had no idea how to work the reformer and didn't even know they had a name lol. The people are welcoming. The place is nice and they have Spin!!! A chair Pilates that I had no idea existed. I loved it so much that before my Groupon ended, I joined!!! I come from HIT classes prior and at 51, I fell in December and had an issue with my hip. It appears Pilates is helping that! I feel so much better and my posture is so much better. Yeah me!

I had a very humiliating and discriminatory experience at Witt Pilates…read more I am hard of hearing and signed up for a package of 10 group classes that were advertised as appropriate for "newbies." I attended two group classes without incident. Before and during class, I simply asked that instructors face me when giving instructions, as I was unfamiliar with the equipment and rely on visual cues. This is a very minimal and reasonable accommodation. When I attempted to attend my third class, the owner called me and told me I was no longer welcome in group classes. I was told that the instructors were "uncomfortable," that they could not "focus on other people in class," and that excluding me was "for everyone's safety." I was then told my only option was to take private lessons at a higher cost. No other accommodations were offered. I had already demonstrated that I could participate safely and appropriately, and no safety issue had occurred. I was excluded solely because of my hearing disability and my request for basic communication access. Denying someone access to group classes and requiring them to pay more because of a disability is discriminatory and not acceptable for a business open to the public. Asking an instructor to face a participant when giving instructions does not prevent them from teaching others. I would strongly caution anyone with a disability--or anyone who expects inclusive, professional practices--to think twice before coming here.

I have been taking private lessons with Shantala, who really knows her stuff and is such a warm delightful person that I feel the stress peeling away within the first 5 minutes of my class. She has quietly and gently convinced me that I am capable of positions outside of my comfort zone and she has been right every time. After four months of training, I am stronger, more flexible and, most importantly, more confident in my body. I recently took a class with Sarah and - no surprise - she is great too. I am 63 yo and I can't count the number of gyms, videos, trainers, gizmos that I have invested in over the past 40 years. I have found my forever studio. And if you have never tried Pilates, run, don't walk - it feels like being massaged from the inside out....

Customization to anyone's special or unique needs is the differentiator. Donna trained with Ramona from Joseph Pilate's studio so she follows the method and does true pilates, where some folks hang a pilates shingle and do there own rendition. Donna is also schooled in massage and is an expert regarding aroma and other alternative therapies. Today I almost skipped Pilates because I had horrible back pain (I usually don't have a bad back). I took the elevator because I couldn't walk the stairs and I could barely walk in hunched over. I had taken ibuprofen and donna rubbed some essential oil into my back. she customized a series of exercises with small movements that didn't seem like much. after 45 minutes, I was walking much better and took the stairs down and feel far more functional. whatta difference! I am usually very strong and do a "standard/advanced" workout but today was a totally different need and Donna proved why I keep coming back and she is worth the premium.

I called today, Monday, January 6th asking if the studio was open due to snow (roads were drivable and not bad at all but wanted to check -- and they were open) but my mom called me saying that my son was lethargic and complaining of stomach pain and I called his doctor to bring him in because he wasn't feeling well and had a high fever. I called the studio letting them know of the family emergency and I spoke to (I believe her name was) Liz. She was the most rude and non understanding person on the phone. She talked with attitude, did not seem sympathetic, and was like "you're telling me two different things. You want to cancel and you have a family emergency." No shit? I have to cancel because of a family emergency? And I called to see if there was anything to do because of the cancellation period. And all she said to me was "Well I'm going to cancel as courtesy for you this time but next time I won't" This is not great customer service and I feel like I was treated so poorly as a member of this studio. I did not want to cancel on purpose and things come up and happen. Do better and don't treat your members like they are not human. The interaction has been so distasteful, I'm considering switching locations where I feel more welcomed and they have more empathy.
