Monday nights our service consists of selected reading from the service booklet compiled by our members, following by a 20 minute meditation period and a 25 minute optional walking meditation. We close service with selected reading from the service booklet following by tea, snacks and a discussion period in the social hall on various topics (check our newsletter and/or facebook for the latest topics). I walked in, nervous and timid, and I was welcomed with open arms. I felt the warmth of the staff from the second I entered the building. The storefront is bright, clean and full of life, (literally because there are plants everywhere). There are 3 different yoga spaces. The smallest is called the cozy studio and can fit about 10-13 comfortably. The main studio can fit up to 32 and they also have a studio upstairs in the loft where they offer Aerial Yoga and YogaBaree classes. The variety and amount of classes is quite impressive. All of the instructors are incredibly experienced and provide more than just the physical practice of yoga. Most instructors include a great deal of the philosophical teachings of yoga that the practice is based on. I fell in love with yoga because of this studio and after practicing for some time, I decided to go through their teacher training program. This was the most valuable and transformative decision I have ever made. I am now a verified 200 hour RYT. Honor Yoga is an amazing company that is growing larger every day and spreading the joy and connection that yoga offers. I highly recommend this studio to all levels. The Vihara follows Sri Lankan & Gaya, Indian ascetics. 2) The temple is under construction when I went there in 10/2025, so the place is a little unkept. Pricing is really accessible for most people, even those of us on a tight budget. I have also been frequenting the Saturday beginners yoga class and really enjoy it as well. It isn't so simple that I am not challenged yet not too hard that I cannot keep up. The staff is really wonderful and the yoga practicing space just has a really good energy to it.
