We were welcomed my Michael and Mori who own the studio. During our month, we were able to attend 15 classes with many of the instructors all of which were amazing. I particularly enjoyed the Yin Yang Yoga and the Hot Pilates. It was an amazing way to relieve stress, understand my body more, and loosen up some super tight areas. It also helped with my skin, sleep, and overall energy levels! If you're even considering it, I definitely recommend checking it out. You won't regret that you did!

She gets so much done in the one hour time period! I worked out so hard and felt amazing during and after class. The only thing I wish is that there were more pilates classes with Keisha! I would love to do this class at least 3 times a week. BEST CLASS OUT THERE! IF you are looking for a tough pilates class, wednesday night at 7 pm with Keisha is for you! A+

Honor Yoga Pennington is a second home for me. A few years ago, I had never taken a yoga class and…read moremy girlfriend dragged me here against my will. I walked in, nervous and timid, and I was welcomed with open arms. I felt the warmth of the staff from the second I entered the building. The storefront is bright, clean and full of life, (literally because there are plants everywhere). There are 3 different yoga spaces. The smallest is called the cozy studio and can fit about 10-13 comfortably. The main studio can fit up to 32 and they also have a studio upstairs in the loft where they offer Aerial Yoga and YogaBaree classes. The variety and amount of classes is quite impressive. All of the instructors are incredibly experienced and provide more than just the physical practice of yoga. Most instructors include a great deal of the philosophical teachings of yoga that the practice is based on. I fell in love with yoga because of this studio and after practicing for some time, I decided to go through their teacher training program. This was the most valuable and transformative decision I have ever made. I am now a verified 200 hour RYT. Honor Yoga is an amazing company that is growing larger every day and spreading the joy and connection that yoga offers. I highly recommend this studio to all levels. Beginner, or advanced, this studio is perfect for you.

Just got a call from them after 4 years after teaching/working for Honor Yoga (and the end of my…read moretenure was with a different Honor studio) asking if I'd be interested in Yoga Teacher Training (that I already attended). I had a bitter taste in my mouth after working with them 4 years ago, and this unfortunately solidified my negative opinion. I would take your business to a locally-owned studio instead.

I first visited River Yoga after purchasing a Groupon for 5 classes at a large discount. Although…read morethe studio was roughly 25 minutes from my home, I quickly realized it was well worth the drive. The instructors are all very knowledgeable, and although each brings their own style of teaching to the classes, they all have a consistent message: It is your yoga practice - do what is right for your body right now. This is an important lesson, because I see a lot of yoga students bringing their ego to the class rather than the desire to listen to their own body. The yoga center is clean, well equipped, and conducive to a rigorous and relaxing practice. The instructors are all friendly, and I believe they must be hand-picked for their sense of humor, because the owner is a very funny person. If you are a beginner or a yoga master, River Yoga has something for you.

Customization to anyone's special or unique needs is the differentiator. Donna trained with Ramona from Joseph Pilate's studio so she follows the method and does true pilates, where some folks hang a pilates shingle and do there own rendition. Donna is also schooled in massage and is an expert regarding aroma and other alternative therapies. Today I almost skipped Pilates because I had horrible back pain (I usually don't have a bad back). I took the elevator because I couldn't walk the stairs and I could barely walk in hunched over. I had taken ibuprofen and donna rubbed some essential oil into my back. she customized a series of exercises with small movements that didn't seem like much. after 45 minutes, I was walking much better and took the stairs down and feel far more functional. whatta difference! I am usually very strong and do a "standard/advanced" workout but today was a totally different need and Donna proved why I keep coming back and she is worth the premium.

I had tried Pilates before her and…read moredidn't think much of it, but Shari has 25 years teaching experience and really understands the whole body and how to customize training to what you need. I went to her after knee surgery because I was having trouble rehabbing my knee without aggravating some arthritis, and she has helped me strengthen in ways that don't cause any problems for me. She has the knowledge of a physical therapist and can help with all kinds of physical issues, but she can also kill you (in a good way) as a personal trainer--IF that's what you want. At 43, even as a prior serious athlete, I am stronger and more toned than ever. She is also fun to be around while she's working with you. The physical therapist for my knee had suggested Pilates to me but said, "Pilates is only as good as your instructor." Shari is THE BEST, so if you want to do this, go to her!

My first class was with Adriana, Yoga for Centering, and was hooked. The classes are more traditional yoga with movement linked to breath and a focus on the yoga philosophy. Fast forward 4 months, I am attending classes 2-3 days a week and am feeling the effects of the strength that I have built. I had a follow up to my knee surgery with the surgeon and he was blown away with the strength that I had built in my knee. My progress continues to be a journey but am so excited that I have found this studio. Adriana is very supportive and provides alternatives to poses to ensure that I do not re-injure myself. In addition, she offers a middle schooler class on Monday night that my 12yo loves to attend and is learning so much. I highly recommend this studio to anyone, at any level, to check out. There is a gentle class on Wednesday nights with Michelle that is great for any beginner as well. Check out this hidden gem!

Barre classes drew me in. inMotion was a beacon in the storm after emerging from my "at home…read morestudio" (lonely basement) like so many others. After being a barre junky and instructor for 5 years, I missed the energy of in-person barre classes. Being back at the barre is uplifting! Even better, inMotion has a variety of classes I never knew I wanted (I'd forgotten how much fun step class was back in the day & who knew I'd come to love yoga!). The amazing inMotion team brings people together, inspires, and facilitates self-care in a warm & safe space. Great+
