Just wanted to write a review of Home Trimwork, as they certainly deserve it. I notice here on Yelp…read morethey currently don't have any reviews. I don't normally write reviews, but feel I must. Me and my wife couldn't be anymore happier with the work they've done and I know for folks who are searching for a company to go with, that you probably depend on reviews of others, just as I do. I'll post some pics of the work they've done in our house as well. I live in Chester Springs PA in the Weatherstone Community. We had three different quotes in for the work. Wainscoting throughout the house, replacing all of the window casing, door casing, baseboard and 1/4 round, crown molding, built-in bookshelves, and coffered ceilings - quite a bit of work. All three of the companies had helped with designing it. However, Ulan (Home Trimworks designer) was certainly the most helpful and helped the most. Being a designer myself just different industry (in Advertising), I can say he really knows what he's talking about and has a great vision for interior trim work. Their prices were certainly reasonable. They had two carpenters come in and do the work. They were blazing fast. The other companies that had quoted this project had this taking 4 weeks to complete after the materials came in. HT's materials took about 3 weeks to get here (was a lot of material, filled up half our garage), came from Bucks Lumber. However, their carpenters did it in only a week and a half! They don't waste any time. They were here at 8am everyday and left around 5pm, cleaning up after themselves every day. I work from home, so I'd interface with them everyday as well. Very friendly people. Some things came up during the carpentry and HT's workers were there to give suggestions on what should be done (obviously, we can't foresee every little small detail ahead of time, and the carpenters would point out all of the design decisions that needed to be done and made recommendations). Their work has completely changed our house, see pics. For anyone looking for a carpentry company, look no further -- they're the real deal. Thanks again HT. Cheers, Dave

We had an interest in renovating our main stairs and gave up after three estimates from central NJ…read moreestablishments. Our dissatisfaction was primarily due to misrepresentation of advertised slogans like "We do it from beginning to end." In reality services were mixed but no one offered a complete, finished project. Lacking services included removing old carpet, additional wood trim work, refinishing, staining and painting. To complete the project we in essence had to become the general contractor coordinating different services which was unacceptable. A friend recommended Home Trimwork in Huntingdon Valley, PA. The outcome far exceeded our high standards. The design manager showcased new ideas and in-depth experience during the 1st virtual session. After a few sessions we finalized the design and went to contract. The project details and timeline were clearly communicated. The project materials manager ordered the required materials and the project coordinator stayed in constant communication. The project started on time and the skilled wood craftsman was exceptional in terms of detail and quality workmanship. The final phase was painting and the outcome exceeded all our expectations. Every Home Trimwork team member was courteous, respectful of us and our property, highly skilled, professional and focused on providing an exceptional customer experience. We "highly" recommend contacting Home Trimwork for any custom woodwork projects.

I posted this on Google as well (and went much more in detail), but would like to share my personal…read moreexperience of a renovation from Mendr. Starting on day 1, a subcontracted demo crew arrived along with Marcus from your team. They accidentally nicked a knob and tube wire along with 2 pipes. We did not know at the time, and noone from your team told us even though I have video proof they knew earlier that morning. We later found out when OUR plumber came to check on the pipes and noticed the mistakes and pointed it out to all workers present at that time. Knowing these pipes were nicked, they closed the floor anyway with the active leak inside. Following installation of the toilet and shower head, when I went to use the toilet, water came spewing through my ceiling downstairs- The team refused to acknowledge responsibility, initially stating it was the radiator regardless of my insisting. Upon locating the leak was actually in a drain pipe, they then said it was the subcontractors fault for nicking the pipe, completely ignoring the fact that if it wasn't enclosed under flooring, this would not have been an issue. Along with this issue, I had multiple concerns with professionalism and communication throughout. I was never told who would be coming on what day, and I encountered about 6 different workers in the time Mendr worked on my house. I was told Marcus would be my project lead, and he was only present the first 2 days. When we would relay a message to one worker, they would not relay it to the others, which lead to huge gaps in communication. We would ask for things to be done a certain way, and the team would ignore and do it the way "they always do it", even when resulting in poor installation of the sister beams, flooring, and cutting into my stack pipe for the exhaust fan. Your team did not put any tarps down unless we asked them to and even then, did not fix them when they would rip. There were multiple discussions regarding safety issues I caught on camera as well that your team still tries to pawn onto the subcontractors I didn't even know were coming. The absolute worst part about this team regardless of all the issues I encountered in my home is that your team still refuses to be held accountable, and does not seem sympathetic in the least for any of the damage caused in my home. I have photo and video proof as well as multiple other professionals who stated the work your team provided may as well be illegal with the lack of safety concern and poorly following ANY coding guidelines. Even with all of this, Kyle, you still try to deny claims and report the subcontractors did it- completely ignoring ANY of your teams responsibility in this matter. Do better, Do not rip people off if you can not handle the project. We deserve our down payment back, none of the work you performed was actually usable! You are only as professional as ALL of your employees and it has been made clear you do not send the same employees for all of your jobs.

I just wrote the same review on google but am posting it here as well as I was so happy with my…read moresiding job. I hired Munz Roofing and Siding to complete a siding project, and I could not be happier with the entire experience. From the start, their consultant, Stephen M., came out and provided helpful education, a thorough walkthrough, zero pressure, and a timely quote for several different product options. Munz ultimately provided the best quote among the three local companies that came out. Eric G., their general manager, also came out to review the plan and clearly outlined the steps they would take to protect our garden beds during the siding removal and installation. That level of communication and attention to detail gave us a lot of confidence going into the project. Project Manager Chris and installer Oleg then completed the project in 9.5 days, which was even half a day ahead of their original 10-day estimate. Chris checked in every day to see if we had any questions or concerns, and Oleg's work was outstanding. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were top notch, and he spent at least a half hour cleaning up every day before leaving. One thing that really stood out was that Oleg took the time to point out how well the previous siding job had been done when the house was built about 40 years ago. He noted that the original wrapping had been applied with meticulous precision, which helped explain why there was minimal water damage to the existing boards. That honesty was appreciated, especially because there was never a moment where the crew attempted to upsell us on unnecessary work. Overall, Munz was professional, honest, communicative, and highly skilled from start to finish. I could not recommend this company enough. Five stars, and if you can, request Chris and Oleg by name as your crew.

Our experience with Munz Construction was frustrating and disappointing from beginning to end. We…read moreinvested more than $250,000 in a home addition and expected professional workmanship, attention to detail, and basic communication. Instead, we spent the entire project chasing people down, pointing out mistakes, repeatedly requesting repairs, and essentially babysitting the professionals we hired to do the job. Two years later, we are still dealing with the consequences of choosing this contractor. The problems started before the project even began, when the estimator failed to show up for our appointment twice. Unfortunately, that lack of reliability and communication continued throughout the project. Workers would either show up without notice, or fail to show up when expected. Communication was a consistent issue, and getting answers or having issues addressed required repeated follow-ups. The workmanship and attention to detail given to our home was beyond disappointing. The many problems we experienced include subpar materials used on our new stairs, poor construction of our portico requiring it to be rebuilt, corners of walls built not square - bordering on triangular shape (in two rooms, one was never repaired), horrible drywall work which had to be redone, painting which had to be redone in every room multiple times, a hallway left uninsulated while the workers threw away packaged insulation in our dumpster, gutters installed in the wrong color, windows delivered with no screens, and an electrical panel being installed without being labeled at all (how basic is that?). The existing front door was damaged by the workers and had to be repainted. They failed to paint it acceptably 3 times and we ended up so frustrated that we told them to refund us the amount of an independent painter's estimate and had him strip the paint and start over instead. The final cost of our project also came in incredibly higher than the original estimate. Far too many things that should have been done correctly the first time required repeated requests and follow-up, and some issues were never actually resolved. This was the most major investment we have ever made in our home. We expected a finished addition that reflected the price we paid. Instead, we have been requesting assistance on several warranty issues for the first 2 years of a 5 year warranty. We have limited confidence in the quality of the work. Yesterday we had scheduled for warranty repair on the stairs. I attempted to schedule a prep meeting with the contractor ahead of the repair this weekend, which required us to stay off the second and third floors of our home all weekend (where all bedrooms are). I contacted them no less than 5 times to schedule this meeting. Nobody responded with any information until the day prior to work beginning and were told that work would begin the next day. After all the planning and coordination for months, our family of five made arrangements to stay off the second floor for two days. All three kids packed their bags, set up cots and air mattresses, and gathered their toiletries and everything else they would need. My husband and I rearranged our workdays and set up in the kitchen to work so we could take our meetings without interfering with the workers. Our project manager arrived and did a beautiful job tarping off and protecting the house. Everything was ready to go. Then, after he left at 8:30am, the stairs guy simply walked out and never returned. That's right. He left without starting and never came back, and apparently no one knows where he is or if he plans to return. I have no idea if and how our stairs will be repaired and the whole family is exhausted. It is time to move back upstairs tonight with zero progress made and no contact from Munz Construction in over 24 hours, although we told them what happened on Friday afternoon. This situation wasn't fair to the adults, but it was most unfair to the young kids, who prepared for this "downstairs camping adventure" we'd sold them and were so organized and agreeable to the weekend-long inconvenience. I'm pretty certain at this point Munz Construction just doesn't care about our family. We would not recommend this company to anyone.
