ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I went to get a pedicure and I had to repeatedly tell the lady doing my toes "You're hurting me, please be more gentle, dont cut there it's sore...etc" Numerous times. Clearly this woman had no idea what she was doing. She kept hurting me to the point where I asked her to stop and had already removed most of my big toe nail. YES REMOVED MOST OF MY BIG TOE NAIL!! I could no longer have her work on me. The man at the front said someone else would help me. I sat and waited patiently, come to find out no one was helping me and they helped the next customer and rudely gave me attitude. They are both ignorant and incompetent. WORST SERVICE. I left without my toes done but on top of that minus a toe nail. If there could be a -1 star I'd put that. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND PAIN! I've never in my 32 years I've never been to a nail salon so awful, dirty and bad service. Surprise Nails Shoppers World Brampton @OPI @Shoppersworldbrampton DON'T GO THERE... Readers digest version... I was told I was getting and paying for a product (OPI shellac) which the salon doesn't even carry. Funny enough there is a poster on their wall which advertises OPI shellac manicures $30. I guess they didn't think I'd notice or that once they started the process I would let them continue. I almost did but then thought no! The technician specifically showed me samples of what she said were OPI shellac colours and OPI is the only shellac that stays on my nails so why would I pay for something else. To top it off, the owner had the audacity to say to me 'you're CANADIAN you shouldn't get upset'. Normally I don't but they were out of line, I don't take kindly to people lying to me or trying to manipulate me then tell me that it was a misunderstanding. I ended up leaving Shoppers World and going to another salon to finish my manicure and redo part of my pedicure. read more

This plaza has 2 other Nail places so it was a very random pick. Walking in I thanked my starts for coming in so early. All 4 pedicure seats were taken. Every manicurist etc was busy with a client. The owner, an older Asian gentleman greeted me and asked me if I could wait a few minutes. "sure". Replied I. Silly silly me. Little did I know that a few minutes would be 27minutes. Ya, I timed it. When I finally climbed onto the pedicure seat and pushed start to the massage chair, I noticed the sign right in front of the pedicure station. "Please note that we perform our pedicures to the highest standard and if you need to have extra skin removed/shaved off you will need to sign a waiver. Excess peeling may cause burning or bleeding." 3 thoughts crossed my mind 1-Never seen this before. 2-Not going to lie, it seduced me......towards scary images. 3- I wonder how this came about. Leading back to point 2. Now let me run a spot light on the "High Standard" claims: The place itself is tiny and everything has a noticeably great deal of wear and tear. The manicure stations are to the right from the door and the pedicure stations are to the left. There's only about 4 per station. The rolling chairs (also acting like the towel dispenser) in front of the pedicure stations had massive tears on the seating. How are they still sitting on this thing? Don't they feel the plastic scratches on their bums? The pedicure chairs are old and the hot water function does not work very well. The sanitation is ... well... questionably shuddering. Let me explain - Once a client leaves, the cold water is drained. While draining, a liquid (smelled like dish detergent) is quickly poured and the same draining water is used to wipe the back wall of the water container by hand. You can see the dirt line of where the water rose all around the sides. Yuck. Just when I wanted to click my-already-emersed-in-water-heels for home, I witnessed the water flow was turned back on and kept that way until another client came in and used it. Now I am no expert in pedicure station sanitation but this cannot possibly be a way. By the time another client sat down, the water was cold, the dirt was still visible. Just not in the vision of the client, only to the neighbour. I didn't want to ask my neighbour how mine looked. I cant handle the truth. There were only 4 girls doing both the manicures ,pedi's and apparently eyebrows. The girl that was assigned to me was beyond slow. I swear it would've been Christmas if I didn't ask her how much longer it would take. Okay - every lady knows that it takes a good 40-45minutes for a good pedicure- with massage and polish. But and HOUR AND HALF?. Seriously, how could I explain that to anyone if I was running late? - Oh sorry, she took and hour on my feet. How horrid were they? - For the record, my feet are cute. So as the slowness progressed- slowly, there came a medium toned Rhianna song from somewhere by the washroom. She got up leaving me high and dry - literally, went into the mystery room and emerged back out with an iphone- held up to her ear chatting away. She was very non responsive to anything around her - including the boss that was trying to get her attention to the other customers walking in. Got a shellac manicure and want to cry. Polish is lumpy and 30 minutes later, its already lifting in the corners. Each nail still has fluff from the cotton stuck to the polish. The 2 nails that she chipped with the tool while removing the previous shellac are still chipped. The beautiful deep burgundy colour I choose is now a gross dark sparkly rust (and I don't do sparkle). She filed my nails so aggressively and they're still very rough and grabbing my shirt. I don't have time to go back and fix this. I got the manicure for a special occasion and really just feel awful with how they look. I won't even get into the wax job that left me feeling like I'd been in a street fight....and lost. Don't go here. Awful service and soooo dirty. Had to give them a full star because I wasn't able to give them zero. But that's what I would really like to give them. Will not be returning. I will take my hard earned money elsewhere. read more

I want to say, if your getting your nails done in this mall, do not go to this location, The man was very rude when I first walked in, the women I had told me I had too fat nail beds for stiletto shape nails. They both refused to give me the nails I wanted and told me it would be extra money if I got what I wanted, she cut my nails extremely short and then charged me for SHILAC when I DID NOT get shellac and told her I DID NOT want shellac. I am very disappointed. I hated my nails and got charged way too much. I expect a refund and new nails, Worst first experience getting my nails done in Brampton. read more

This place is very unprofessional. IF for some reason you have to come to this nail salon STAY AWAY from the guy he is very RUDE! I recently went to get my nails done for a wedding all I wanted was acryllic shellac. I told him which colours I wanted and he grabbed the wrong colours!! I repeatedly told him those were not the right colours I wanted, he started yelling at me insisting it was while huffing and puffing. From what I understand the customer is always right but not at this place! I am a nice person, so despite the error I tipped him BUT he was not happy with the dollar amount and slammed the money on the counter. There was also a girl next to me getting her nails refilled and the woman who was doing her nails made her bleed..the poor girl had to tell her to stop because it hurt so badly. I came in an hour before the mall closes, i got in there i had to wait for good 5-10 mins which i didn't mind. The mall closes at 9 so i was just chillin whatever. But the girl who did my nails was literally rushing it bc the mall was about to close. This is my first time getting my nails done - and i dont like it as much as i thought i would be... todays my second day and some of the paint in my nail are already fading. read more

The worst salon I have ever been to. It's a shame I have to give this place at least one star when I can't think of any good things to say. I came here for a shellac pedicure and an acrylic set of fake nails with shellac. I was told a shellac pedicure was $35 and acrylic with shellac was $33. Sounded reasonable to me. I got my pedicure which was mediocre - I had only realized after my pedicure that there was a sign that said that they were offering a free sea salt scrub with a pedicure however this was not offered to me while I was being worked on. The lady who worked on my boyfriends pedicure offered to him and he accepted but I didn't ask for the scrub because I assumed it was extra charge. Disappointing to find out this was free. After the pedicure I was assigned a male technician named Tony who was incredibly rude, cold and impatient from the start. Because he does not speak proper English it was hard to understand what he was saying and he VERY quickly lost his patience with me. He was frustrated when I asked him to shorten my nails or make any changes - which I asked politely. He aggressively and quickly shaped my nails. He gave me two options for length - a short version would cost $5 and anything longer is an extra $10. First of all I have never been anywhere for fake nails that charges for LENGTH. Are you kidding me? This was not told to me when I inquired about pricing before agreeing to the set. Why is this told to me after all the nails are glued on? Ridiculous. Couldn't back out either because I was leaving for Mexico the next day and had no other option as it was the evening already. When I asked for clarity he once again lost his patience. I told him I wanted to do white nails. He refused, chuckled under his breath and said I needed a manicure so the nails would look better in white and that it was an extra $10. I said I didn't want a whole manicure, just simply push the cuticles back as normal so the acrylic fits nicely on the nail. This is a given practice anywhere you go for fake nails. He refused and once again lost his patience but this time he raised his voice and yelled at me in front of the whole salon. I felt every head in the salon look my way as he yelled at me and humiliated me. This type of service is COMPLETELY unacceptable. I could not understand him because of the language barrier however this is no justification for such rude behaviour. The owner came over to me to justify why Tony yelled but that's only because someone else intervened and asked what had happened. I ended up paying $93 for a shellac pedicure and an acrylic set with shellac. Way more than I had anticipated and would have liked to pay. Also way more than I was told from the start. I work in customer service. I understand when customers are being unreasonable. But I don't think I'm asking for too much - just some respect. Safe to say I will NEVER be returning and will share my horrible experience to avoid others from receiving the same treatment. Seriously the worst salon I have ever been to.
