I came to Surprise Endodontics for the first time and had a really good experience. The staff was friendly, organized, and on top of everything from the moment I walked in. The doctor took a very cautious and thorough approach while checking to see if I needed a root canal. Even though I'm still having some pain, I truly appreciated that the decision was made to hold off instead of rushing into a procedure that might not be necessary yet. That level of care and honesty really stood out to me. They took the time to explain what they were seeing, what to watch for, and made sure I understood the plan moving forward. It's clear they care more about doing what's right for the patient than just doing the procedure. I left feeling informed and confident in their judgment. read more

Dr. Jackson did a great job! I was referred by my dentist to see him for a root canal. My baby hit me in the front tooth a few months ago and the nerve ended up dying causing the tooth to discolor. I was able to get in right away for a consult and treatment same day. Root canal and bleaching internally. I came back 7 days later to have my temporary and bleaching removed and a permanent filling placed. He was a perfectionist about how the tooth looked and how it all was taken care of from start to finish. Their office staff was helpful and kind along with a very cleanly office area. I will definitely recommend them and see Dr. Jackson again for any future needs. Thank you for making a fearful experience easy and painless. read more

This practice has been great. Dr Castano has done 2 root canals in the past and did a great job and made the process quick and painless. Recently i broke a tooth and had trouble getting in to get a root canal done anywhere as everyone is booked. Surprise Endo got me on the schedule for a week out then had a cancellation and got me in with Dr Foisy the next day after breaking my tooth. He like Dr Castano made the process quick and painless. I would recommend this practice to anyone seeking a root canal. The office staff and the doctors assistants were awesome as well. Thank you guys for all you do. read more

I'll start by saying I'm a big wimp when it comes to anything to do with dental work. Vanessa was very sweet and made me as comfortable as possible while doing my x-rays. Dr Foisy was thorough and explained the x-ray and CT results so they were easy to understand. I highly recommend this office, everyone was wonderful! read more

Dr. Frank Castano was the BEST! I have not been to the Dentist for 30 years. I finally had the money and the guts to go. I went to a regular DDS Garrett Family Dental to get the news about my teeth. I was informed I needed 2 root canals! I was nervous as heck with that news. Dr. Garrett refered me out to Dr. Castano for this work. The office staff were amazing. Dr. Castano has a great sense of humor, informative, and takes pride in his work. I had both teeth done and no pain just my jaw muscle. GREAT GREAT Dr! I went to the office on Brookside in Surprise, Az. Dr. Foisy stayed on longer in the day to do my emergency root canal. I called their other offices on the weekend hoping someone would do my root canal. No one had any openings and no one asked their dentists to help me. The Surprise office were off but did return my calls and got me in when they returned. Office staff was friendly and courteous. I found out there is an EMERGENCY DENTAL PLACE to call but no one even told me. The NUMBER FOR ONCALL DENTAL IN GLENDALE IS: 602-863-7692. I got this from the Surprise office. read more

Root canals are never fun, but Dr. Castano is amazing! He explains what he can see and gives you real advice, whether you actually need a root canal or not. When my dentist told me I needed a root canal immediately, Dr. Castano told me I didn't have an infection and that a root canal was not absolutely needed that day. After talking more with him I decided to go ahead and get the root canal. The process was not bad at all! He is hilarious and entertains you the entire time. You almost feel like you're not getting a root canal if you keep your eyes closed! The other staff is amazing too! Monique works the front counter and greeted me with a huge smile when I first walked in and made me feel welcome, not scared. Overall, everyone there was awesome and if I ever need a root canal again I know where I'm going! read more

I will update once I get my procedure done. But wow this staff is so friendly and they went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and had the right dental plan to save me the most money. Dr Frank makes you feel so comfortable and I've had some bad luck with teeth and am very self conscious of them but he didn't make me feel uncomfortable and ensured that everything can be fixed. He's super down to earth and genuinely cares for his patients. I wish he did all dental procedures because he would be my definite go to! read more

Top notch service! Introduced himself right away, listened to what my issues were, asked my pain level right away, asked about my medical history (thank you for considering my medical condition during treatment!). Root canal done and no pain at all. Team worked fast and were very caring, sympathetic, attentive to my needs and wishes. Didn't push any extra unnecessary work (thank you). Will be handing out your guy's card to anyone that needs work and will let the dentist know you guys were a great referral! Dr. Frank Castano and his team provide an amazing experience. I was in and out in less than one hour--pain free and ready to finish my work day, after a root canal. I had 3 weeks of pain and was not able to eat most foods prior to my root canal. If I had known it was going to be that simple, I would have taken care of it sooner! read more

Went to the Avondale location and was greeted by a professional, caring staff. After normal hours, Dr. Netzel was kind enough to perform an urgently needed root canal at the loss of his own appointment across town. He was gentle, quick, and showed real concern for my well-being. The following Monday he personally called to check-up. Due to his expertise, I had minimal pain discomfort, which was surprising due to the extent of the prior infection. It was refreshing to actually have a Dr. who cared. He is indeed a blessing. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family. read more

The staff and Dr. Castano are the best. We went for an unexpected root canal and they had my son in and out within an hour. Dr. immediately connected with his patient, explained everything he was going to do, followed up showing us before and after x-rays and told us what to expect and how to avoid future issues. He has a great and sincere demeanor and his staff is wonderful. I'm optimistic Dr. Castano impacted my adult son's outlook for taking a more proactive role in his own dental care. Unfortunately I'm not a stranger to dental work and I've had an unfair number of procedures over the years. To say that Dr. Castano was fabulous is somewhat of an understatement. Root canals are never a fun experience however mine was the most boring one I've ever encountered. ;-) Kudos to the entire team @ Surprise Endodontics... I highly recommend this office. read more

I had a consultation with Dr. Frank Castano in December 2013 I decided to have my root canal with him a week later because he is the coolest guy you'll ever meet. Straight off the bat he treats you like you to have been friends for years, he is honest he tells you he's good and guess what he means it. My root canal was less painful and less traumatizing then getting a filling done. He was fast and I felt absolutely no pain. This guy rocks I wish he was a normal dentist because he would be my best friend. read more

Dr Castano re-worked a root canal because of an infection. The surgery went well but after a few months, the blister around my molar was still present. General dentist referred me back to him and he reported that silt was a blister around my gum so he ordered an oral rinse to address. Blister continued and dentist in Dallas says it's related to the same re-worked root canal, so I called Castano's ofc to schedule an appt. The person answering the phone advised me that they would not take a look at it and that I had already been told that an implant was my only option and that apparently I was happy with what was reported??? Needless to say, I can't recommend him even though he is extremely nice. I now have to get the same tooth addressed in Dallas because he didn't address it properly and wouldn't take another appt after referring dentist sent me there! read more

My dentist has referred me twice to Dr. Castano. His staff is very welcoming. Office is super clean. Dr. Castano has a great bedside manner. He makes getting a root canal as pleasant as it can be. I pray I don't need another...but if I do? I am having Dr. Castano do it. read more

I hate..seriously, going to the dentist. For Pete's sake. Every time I go: It seems to be a small down payment on a car So, I needed a root canal. Booooo. I am either one of two things at the dentist. A blithering 12 year old or a grade a nervous B. I was a 12 year old when I went here. Omg..Dr. Netzel. What can I say? I simply can not write how charming and personable this young Dr. is. His chair-side manner is both soothing and calming. I had to get "a special shot".. words you ain't trying to hear when your mouth is wedged open and your tilted backwards! The initial "regular" shot hurt badly and the special one was so painful! Afterwards, I was crying and a little upset. The front desk receptionist ( Oh yeah, reception area is so comfortable, bright and warm) Melanie gave me some soothing oil to rub on my wrists and under my nose. Dr. Netzels assistant was also soothing. After that, I was numb and still nervous but okay. Procedure took a little over an hour and all the time Dr. Netzel was assuring and comforting. I can't say enough about this office. The people there care and it feels very personable. I had to tearfully hug Dr. Netzel in gratitude. I don't like writing lengthy reviews: However, this bunch of lovely humans deserve applause! If you have to have this procedure done: Please go here. This Endodontics is the absolute best. Highly highly recommend!! Five BRIGHT STARS!!! read more

Dr. Costaño at Surprise Endodontics is the best endodontist ever! I had a cap come loose that he had never worked on before, but my dentist was out of town. After listening to how it happened and explaining to me every step of the process Dr. Costaño removed it, cleaned it, sterilized it, re-cemented it and took x-rays to see if there was any other problem with the tooth. And there was no charge!! He truly cares about his patients. I would give him more stars if it was possible. read more

Best dental experience I have ever had! I have major dental anxiety, difficulty numbing, and of course constant dental issues. I started having a toothache underneath a crown that was less than a year old. I went to a different dentist, than the one who put my crown in. Dr. Sharma, took a look and sent me to an endodonist who specializes in root canals. I will forever be greatful to him. Dr. Castagno from Surprise Endodontics was amazing. I was in and out in 1 hour and felt ZERO pain - from the shots, the drilling, the clean out, and filling over my crown. I will need additional root canals down the road and I will ONLY go to him to get this work done. Never again let a dentist do your specialty work - insist on an endodontist (Surprise Endodontics). They weren't any more expensive than the dentist fees but it was done in 1/3 of the time. They are experts! read more

Best root canal I've ever had! I didn't feel a thing before, during, or after the procedure. No one looks forward to getting a root canal but it was actually a great experience! I was informed by my general dentist that I will need root canal treatment on two teeth. Being someone who does their research, and wanting to find the best endodontist in my area, I came across Surprise Endodontics. I went for an evaluation, and immediately felt comforted and at ease with the fantastic staff. They were so kind and professional. When I met Dr. Castano, I immediately realized he really enjoys what he does. He is the coolest doctor I have ever met. He was very conservative and ran me through my options. He is really down to earth, but also reassuring. I expressed my concern and fear of the dentist. When agreeing to schedule my root canal on my first tooth, he offered me a prescription for Halcion. If it hadn't been for that, I would of been scared to death. The procedure was painless, and it felt like I was only there for 30 minutes at most. The second root canal a few weeks later went the same way. Dr. Castano has a true passion for patient comfort, concerns and he will do everything in his power to make sure your experience will be as easy as possible. If I ever need another root canal, I will only go to Dr. Castano. Thanks to their great staff and Dr. Castano for everything. read more
