Decidí venir a OFFICEMAX y qué diferencia! Tienen todo un centro de impresión, aparte de la sección de compra de la tienda. Tiene diferentes tamaños de impresión, papeles, texturas, etc. Tienen self-service pero también te asesoran y específicamente el Sr. Ricardo lo recomiendo 100% un señor agradable, de buena actitud, asesora con base, amable, atento y servicial. It's just the most convenient location for me. That's why I re-visit. But every time, no doubt, the service is the same. And trust me, I am polite, patient, understanding and thankful with whoever is helping me but still it is hard to get a genuine "you're welcome" with them. And I just remember, their bathroom is one of the filthiest I have seen at any store.

We visited the store to buy two desks, one with a glass top and the other with a wood top. We paid for the items and were informed that we needed to return the next day to pick them up because they didn't offer delivery services. The next morning, I called Enrico to explain that the wood desk was too big for the intended space. He then informed me that there would be a 30% charge if I canceled the order. I raised my concerns about not being informed of the return policy when making the purchase. To avoid losing my money, he agreed to provide me with store credit. When I returned to the store, I exchanged the large desk for a smaller one and bought a chair. At this point, delivery was available, so I paid for it. However, when the goods were delivered, the desk was dirty and had concealed damages, while the office chair was also damaged. I tried to contact the manager, but he claimed to be on an international call and couldn't speak with me at the moment. I informed him about the damaged items and my desire to return them, to which he agreed. When my business partner attempted to return the items, the store personnel refused to accept them and insisted that we needed Enrico's approval. After contacting Enrico, he claimed to have called me at 8:10 am and because I didn't answer, he couldn't do anything as he was out of the office. He then made a comment suggesting that he knew the type of people we were and that he was Colombian and unafraid of people like us, which was unclear and offensive. In the end, we left the items we had paid for outside the store as they refused to take them back. We attempted to reach out to the management to lodge a complaint about the ordeal, but we were unsuccessful in obtaining the name of the person we should speak to.

Fast forward a year later and we were moving to a bigger unit in Broward County so we needed a new couch. After scouting the area we decided to go back to Modo as we didn't find anything that we liked. We bought our couch there which was supposed to be 100% leather. 18 months after we purchased the couch the leather started peeling and the couch was falling apart. We contacted Modo and they said they couldn't do anything as the warranty's period was over. We had bought 4 pieces of furniture and they couldn't help us? We were one of their first customers when they started. The owner kept saying this had never happened and probably was our care or treatment. We work all day, have no kids or pets. We only use the couch couple of hours every night and during the weekend, makes no sense. I even bought the cleaner and leather protector that he suggested and used it every other week, so we took good care of it. He suggested that a guy he knew who could repair it for $800, with that money we're going to get a new couch. They have good looking furniture but refused to help good and loyal customers, very unfortunate.

Every time someone would call, we would get the run-around and they would never follow-up. At the end, we went by and found it in their back area, laying in a corner (4 months later & it was pure luck.) We are still missing one item from them. I understand that with pre-owned furniture it's a hit or miss, but they could have the courtesy and offer alternatives and they choose not to. They simply don't care. They are the best in poor customer service.

Every time I drop off a package, they find a reason to charge me -- even when I'm simply returning an item in the same original box it came in. Their usual excuse is that it's "not the correct box," even though the package hasn't even been opened. This has happened three times now, which makes it feel like a pattern rather than a mistake. Other UPS locations accept the same returns without any issue or extra charge. This store seems more focused on adding unnecessary fees than helping customers.
