I drove in from Vernon and was hoping to get their expert opinion of the firearms and what I should be looking at for my first one. When I arrived at the back counter, there were three gentlemen working there. Not one of them acknowledged me, and the young guy there walked back and forth in front of me 3 or 4 times before he even asked, "Need a hand with anything?" I responded by asking where the .22 rifles were and he just pointed, then left me there alone for the rest of the time. At first I thought he was busy with another customer, but turns out he just didn't want to help anyone. Back and forth he went with a scowl on his face, head held high like he was the king of the castle. Long story short, if the prices were actually "wholesale" I'd be able to understand why their service is as bad as it is, but seeing as how their prices were much more expensive than my local firearms dealer with less selection, I will just be going to him. Epic fail for Wholesale Sports.

I went…read morethere and when you first see the place, it looks like a pretty small store from the outside but you're in for a surprise because it's actually huge inside! Since it's winter, they have TONS of winter sports gear like a great selection of skis, and skates of all sizes (men's (boys) and women's (girls) they also had some snow boards but nothing close to the other two. If you're into hockey, there's also a good selection of pads and sticks (who'd ever thought buying a consignment stick!) LOL :) As an added bonus, if you buy skates, they'll sharpen them for you right in the store... always a bonus. I can't wait for summer to see what they have for bikes and other cycling gear as well and all the other things that I'd love to "need" ;-) (hey I have to find a way for it to be a "need" vs. a want ....easier to buy! Everything seemed to be fairly priced and it's a spot that I'd go to and search before buying new simply because a lot of the stuff there is in almost new shape.

On boxing day I asked about ski goggle sales and the associate showed me ones that were on sale on…read morethe counter for 30% off. There were other more expensive goggles in glass cases that had no advertising of a sale. I bought a pair of goggles that were 30% off and found that the lens is too dark when I got home looking through normal light. The lights at the store were very bright so it was hard to tell. I went back the following day to exchange the goggles for different ones. The same goggles I bought were still on sale with 30% off signs next to them. I decided to try some higher end goggles in the glass cases and found ones I liked because they came with both a dark lense and a lighter lens so i knew they would work for me. The associate told me the ones in the glass case were 15% off yesterday only. There were not any signs stating this yesterday and I was only shown the ones on the counter as being on sale when I asked about which goggles are on sale. I went to the counter to exchange my goggles that were too dark and wanted to buy the more expensive ones. The man at the till said it was not a problem and that he would exchange my current ones for the more expensive ones. I asked if the 15% discount could be applied as it wasn't displayed and I was not told about it when I asked about goggles that were on sale. The man said no. It seemed odd that the same sale wouldnt be on because the same sale on everything was still going there the following day. Even my 30% off goggles were still 30% off. I asked if there was anything that could be done to get the 15% price from yesterday and the man seemed got angry then said, "you know what, all sales are final, here you go have a good day" and shoves my goggles towards me. I was taken back because at first he said that he could do an exchange, and then changes his mind and wouldn't allow the exchange. All this just because I asked for the discount from yesterday that was never mentioned or displayed. I asked if he was the owner and he said yes. I then asked him his name and he ignored me so I asked if he had a business card and he said no. Very unprofessional and rude especially for the owner to treat customers like that. Not to mention saying to the customer he can do an exchange and then changes his mind a few seconds later. Now I have goggles that I cannot use because they are too dark.

I knew what I wanted and bought $1650 worth of clubs. Finally got someone and they apologized that they don't have a "golf guy". Simulator was closed. Nice buying new irons without being able to try them. Basically, the only help I got was the guy helping me carry some clubs to the checkout where the person there didn't know how to scan a club set. I literally had to take the display set to the front and buy those ones. It's a disgrace.
