Operating a second hand store can be arduous at best, I think the owner and staff do a great job…read moremanaging the materials, pricing and communicating with the customers. When the materials are donated there is so much time and effort spent sorting and organizing. The management donates so much to those in need and are continuously looking for ways to give back to the community. I shop in the store often and have always come away with something useful. Thanks for all the work and generosity.

This is a great Michaels location. I know they have to follow pretty strict corporate guidelines so…read morethere isn't a lot of difference from store to store when it comes to selection and such. However, the thing this location really excels in is customer service. The staff here are great at identifying the difference between browsing and hopelessly lost. Today I was looking for supplies for a craft that took me all over the store and I had not one, not two, but three different staff members help me find what I needed. Seriously impressed. The same goes for checkout: the staff are always helpful with coupons and suggestions. I've never had anything but great service here. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5? Mostly corporate issues that I understand this location can't change. Michaels is terrible for making you feel ripped off with their constant coupons. Obviously everything is incredibly marked up. NEVER go there without a coupon. They almost always have one for at least 40% off a single item. Sometimes they even have ones that cover your whole transaction.

The Mall and what is available as far as retailers is concerned is actually quite satisfactory…read more However, having lived here in Kamloops for thirty years, I have seen a big change in Aberdeen overall including a huge influx of homeless ppl seeking services. On Friday July, 29, 2022, @ 8:33, while waiting in a shady part of the parking lot for Marshall's to open, I was asked to leave by security. I told him I was waiting for the mall to open and was accused of loitering which is something only vagrants do. I then proceeded to inform the security that I lived nearby and got the response, 'I don't think so.' it was demeaning and insulting. I have tried to shake it off for hours now (it is 11:01 now) but can't' without leaving a review to this effect. If I was waiting in a car would I have been asked to leave ? I don't think so. As a senior I enjoy walking and keeping mobile and intend to keep mobile for as long as I can. This was a direct judgement upon my intentions for being at the mall. Yes, I had my supplies with me in a large travel bag but I certainly do not look like a vagrant. I feel disgusting and I did leave the mall because truly anything that's there you can easily get elsewhere. It's a sad thing to see such a once wonderfully welcoming mall become a place of suspicion. Moral of the story : if you enjoy walking and taking in the sites of the neighborhood, don't take a break in the private property of Aberdeen Mall to wait for it to open or you WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

The merging of Winners and Homesense is a smashing success!!!!!…read more Winners on the left and Homesense on the right, basic concept but it works like a charm. Great prices on seasonal products, in this case it was Halloween and they have a boat load of items from kids costumes to decorations. Cookware is reasonably priced depending on what you are looking for and home and bath decor I guess varies from store to store as they have products from New Orleans masks to Roman stell armour. The Winners side has good baby clothes and toys, gadgets for the tech junkie, and womens clothing, lots of womens clothing. All in all it's a great place to find some kitchenware, specialty foods, and underwear. Sexy dinner party is now complete
