I cannot say enough incredible things about Surmesur, Danielle and the team. I purchased a 3 piece suit from them for our wedding in August 2022. When I received it a few months before the wedding, I decided to make a tuxedo purchase as well. The quality of the suit, the material, and the craftsmanship that went into the custom piece was unmatched. The experience in the store during my appointment was top notch, got a glass of whiskey to wait, had the experts explain all about different styles and trends, and ultimately had a great time choosing my options. I purchased the suit for my wedding at Surmesur and it looked super fly. I'd considered some of the online bespoke suit options but was concerned I might not get a good fit even if I got my measurements taken by a tailor. As some of the other reviews have noted, this is where Surmesur is far superior to other bespoke options. They are incredibly thorough in their measurements; Casey measured and noted the exact slope and rotation of my shoulders, natural posture, shape of my arms, natural arm angle, etc. All of these measurements are what make the difference between an off the rack suit, or even a made-to-measure suit from an online-only retailer, and a suit from Surmesur. All the care taken during the measurement process meant that when I went back to test fit the suit, only extremely minor alterations were needed. Surmesur saves your measurements, so you can go back for additional suits without having your measurements taken again, so all you need to do to get another suit is pick the fabric and customizations. They also have a decent selection of accessories if you need a tie or cufflinks. The service from everyone I've interacted with at the shop has been fantastic. With Surmesur, we were able to create a suit that was perfect for him. We were able to design the whole suit using their online platform (which we could refer back to when picking ties, shoes, etc.) but we were also able to touch the fabric in their show room. The staff were super knowledgable (especially Zach!) and recommended cuts and styles based on my husband's style and the vibe of the wedding. Once we were ready to order, they took measurements right there in the store. The suit came in about two weeks. When we went back to pick it up, the suit needed ZERO alterations--it was perfect. I just dropped off for a second round of alterations a new suit I had purchased. I've gotten suits there before without difficulty but this one has been a problem. In the interest of not wasting anymore of my time on this business I'll just say I've been a customer for several years and referred many of my young colleagues who were in need of a suit. Neither of those items were acknowledged when I pointed out my frustrations with the purchase. Casey and Rich took fantastic care of us while we were there for our appointment and helped us make great design choices. They focused on product that fit desired functionality and style rather than simply pushing more expensive options. We also appreciated that swatches, samples, and examples were available so that we were not just seeing the design electronically. The store was extremely busy while we were there but they did a fantastic job of balancing appointments and handling walk-ins. We never once felt rushed. The team took the time to explain the effect of different design choices and the importance of every measurement as well as how they related to the ultimate fit of the suit and the shirt that we ordered. Surmesur is great. I've purchased from Indochino online and enjoyed the level of customization they offer, but Surmesur takes it to the next level. The measurements are where Surmesur shines. They measure everything. I'd never considered shoulder angles and neck curvature to get the collar perfect. I've got some shirts from them and a tuxedo on the way. The shirts fit well and look great.
