Her confidence and comforting approach relax me and alleviate my anxiety about this process The infusion team of James and Caroline have been excellent and their explanations of what's taking place and their careful administration have made me feel very comfortable with the infusion process. Haticha, Nurse Practitioner, played a special role in helping me obtain the patient assistance program. She actively engaged Mersi management to resolve issues and secure my participation in the program. Haticha also coordinated the scheduling and reporting of my outside lab tests and interfacing with my home infusion nurse. That said, I had a ptosis procedure performed recently and could not be more satisfied for the following reasons - everyone involved was diligent, strictly followed every medical protocol without exception ( both pre and COVID associated ) - dr Freitag explained everything from start to finish to alleviate any potential surgical associated patient anxiety (none here but clearly well thought out and executed) - while patient visit waiting times seemed long at times, this reflects sufficient time and attention devoted to each patient rather than "lounging around" time. I'm sure that dr Freitag has no desire to lengthen her workday any longer than necessary - deep thinking and extensive experience/ reflection on the best clinical approach could be interpreted as distanced or uncaring but that is not an accurate situation assessment So I wish folks would think twice before writing these opinions. Whether taught in law school, business, or in life words, once written an disseminated, cannot be undone. We are dealing with an md whose career is potentially affected by such comments so greater thought and deliberation are appropriate before publishing. And felt as if we were at a "5 star hotel" for a private office compared to MEEI's 2.5 star hotel rating... Parking is tight at one of their office location (West Roxbury), but the medical center in Norwood and other place had parking which was helpful! And was free. After deciding to go with this specialist due to their experiences, knowledge, and care (unlike MEEI's), they were responsive to our questions and calls. We appreciated that a great deal. We absolutely adore Mary, one of their office staff in addition to the attending nurses (all were great) and the doctors too!

While attempting to describe my concerns regarding my vision problems, I was interrupted with harsh lectures from Dr. Schwartz concerning the limitations my condition requires. He was quick to stress the negative impact of my situation, but not as anxious to offer encouragement, support, or treatment options. Receiving bad news during an exam is difficult... and certainly not the fault of the doctor. But knowledge and experience alone do not make for a successful practice. A responsible "bedside manner" is also necessary to allow for a healthy doctor/patient relationship. Dr. Schwartz obviously disagrees.

Sometimes, that makes you feel better and is more needed than the treatments! At a time when I feared losing my vision due to macular degeneration, she was reassuring and supportive , and always answers my never ending list of questions, and with patience. Another side of Dr. Sang that I recently learned about is her mentorship. There are a group of young college grads working there who are taking a gap year and preparing to get into medical school. She is so giving and proud of how many of these interns have gone on to great careers. Each time you go for an appointment, it's a "major production." There are so many steps in the process and I have come to understand why it takes so long -- they take no shortcuts! There is a huge staff that supports Dr. Sang and each one has a specialty, from the people who answer the phone and make appts. to the people who do complicated eye scans. I don't envy the appt. people as everyone seems to want a different time -- including me -- and it's hard to make everyone happy, although they try. I guess my only complaint is that I wish I could turn back Dr. Sang's clock about 25 years so that she'd be in practice for another 25+ years. While she is around, I feel incredibly lucky for her to be my doctor!

I am so glad I made the decision to visit Dr. Le. In my first visit, she examined my eyes and found a condition that can lead to a retina tear. Dr. Le helped me get an appointment with a highly regarded ophthalmic practice. An ophthalmologist addressed the issue the same day. The ophthalmologist told me that I probably had the condition for around two years based on the scar tissue. He gave Dr. Le (who he doesn't know) a lot of credit for identifying a barely visible problem. He said that he could have missed it himself. Beyond the eye issue, Dr. Le was very thorough in examining my eyes, filling my prescriptions, and fitting me for the best glasses and contact lens.
