I got one with coffee and chai and it wasn't too sweet... it just hit NICE. It was perfect kismet to find this little haven of clean eating in between major stops on the road. You could tell a lot of love and care goes into the food here. Food came fast... our 'server' was super nice and patient (I couldn't decide between the burrito and açaí bowl)... glad I went with the burrito. I'm jealous of all you Asheville locals!

The bread is really dry and I thought the sandwhich would be pressed for some reason, but it's not horrible. My only complaint is that some of the staff was rude. After paying, I heard one of the girls sarcastically complain about how much I tipped. The 2 girls then proceeded to complain about another customer that came in and complained about how little she tipped. I find this very rude and awkward af; like why are you talking sh- about customers when you're literally standing in front of multiple customers. I don't know if she thinks people can't hear their conversation behind the counter, but the entire restaurant can lol. The girl who rang me up was really nice though. Just an FYI, I didn't even tip low, I'm not sure how much she was expecting me to leave for making some smoothies and a sandwhich lmao. But I don't think I'll be coming back here just because of them. Felt like mean girls in high school talking about other people. They also kept giving weird looks and just had an off putting attitude; weird vibes. I would give 1 star but that smoothie alone is worth a star, so good!

They had both and so much more packed into their small but amazing space! You also have the bonus of Sunflower Diner inside for a pre-shopping snack or meal. Parking in W Asheville can be tricky but I found a spot across the street by the bank. All staff and customers were wearing masks (which is no longer mandatory in NC) and hand sanitizer was readily available by the front door. No one was crowding and I felt 100% comfortable inside shopping. They have a very well curated selection of local, regional, and national brands for everything from spices to toilet paper. There's even a large deli case packed with goodies, I picked up a vegan pasta salad, and a chilled case of local, fermented products. If I lived in Asheville, West Side would most likely be my go to shop to supplement my CSA produce and to get specialty items.

The photographs of bondage and words like "slut" are not what I want to look at with my child when I am sipping a coffee. Staff were complaining about pay and customers while I sat and sipped. Also not great. I've worked service industry jobs, we all have complaints, but maybe don't yell about it over the espresso machine to another co-worker who is sitting on the couch. Unprofessional, uncomfortable. Those are words I would use to describe this place. Would've been cool to see books there that were not fantasy. Seems like a pretty exclusive place, catering to people who like anime, bondage, and talking crap. Pretty unfortunate because the place is cute. Won't be returning.

The place looked to be in decent shape, though like much of the region they had water quality concerns that limited what they could do. Upon asking, I discerned that despite the rebrand, they were still offering boba tea in addition to coffee. The tulsi-flavored tea I got was not overly sweet, but the generous popping boba made for enough of a sugar rush. They had a few baked goods. I suspect that operations will improve as the city rebuilds.
