I didn't really buy anything here, but it was a great store to walk through. As soon as we entered, they offered us a beer at the bar in the back. They also served wine. I mean, honestly, you can't go wrong in an outdoor adventure store when they serve alcohol instead of your basic stale popcorn. I can't wait to go back!

A most unusual store -- really -- One World Shoppe doesn't have the same ol' same ol' -- the…read morecurrent inventory focuses on sun and surf items for you and your dog. It's bright, colorful and decorated like a true beachwear shop. The t-shirts, shoes, boards -- none of it was ordinary - at least to me. There's a laid-back vibe about this place -- perhaps because if here, you're in a recreational frame of mind; either for real or to add to a sigh-inducing wish-list. I had the best time checking out the kites, not just ordinary single-string kites, but stunt and power kites, too. My first trip was to check things out -- my next trip will be to indulge. One World Shoppe will be on my list of places to dwell. Who can't use a treat or a few fantasies?

The quality of the material is far from "same ol'' same ol,'" but you are definitely paying for great customer service and long-lasting clothes. I know I almost have an emotional connection with my "Hold Your Horses" shirt. When I went in, a cute and athletic red-headed girl helped me. She was very heart-warming and open to conversation. I don't know about the rest of the staff, but I'm sure they are just as great as she is. I most definitely give this store five stars without reservation.

At first, after some instruction, I thought, no way, I can't do this. But with some encouragement I tried and didn't do so badly. The young lady Sam was very helpful and you can tell she knows her Archery. She was pleasant and really wanted us to feel comfortable and happy with our shots even if we did them poorly. The only negative thing I have is that she speaks so softly. So, either she has to have a louder voice, esp. with seniors or the shop has to turn down the music so we can hear her. Remember, some seniors can't hear. LOL The shop itself needs to put a fan in the shooting area or turn up the AC because it gets hot back there. It would be nice if water was available or whoever sets up the reservation is told to bring water. I am glad there were only five us. Anymore and it would have been uncomfortable. In total we were there about an hour and a half. Not bad for $20..We all agreed it was a good amount of time for first timers. Oh, the other thing to make sure the caller is told, and I don't know if this was done, but when we went in, our friend had open toe shoes on and that is a no, no. You must wear closed shoes.

I used to purchase single arrows to experiment with from a way larger store in PA, but they changed the policy to only dozen arrow sales. I was happy to find out that Extreme still sells single arrows. They might be a bit pricier, but it's worth it to experiment. If they don't have something you were looking for, they leave you a prompt voice message when it's back in stock. Outstanding customer service. Very reasonable minimum shipping, and a pretty good supply of basic items. I live too far away to comment on the in store experience but if I was in the area visiting, I would stop in. Happy Customer.

I didn't realize there was a store wide sale of 50 percent off and they were going to be flooded with shoppers. But that was ok We stepped to the register area in the ladies section of the store, stopping at the register on the left when facing the check out station - Before I could get beyond we would like to make an exchange the associate we were speaking with turned , called another associate over and with the most sarcastic tone of voice and eye contact said: We have another exchange. I'm confident without a doubt she had a long day but her attitude and tone were completely unnecessary. I've been stopping by The Neuse Sport Shop for many years and have never had a less than positive encounter with any other associate. I completely understand seasonal help is essential during the holiday season but basic courtesy isn't a trate the store should have to teach. Maybe associates should be reminded to treat each guest as they would like to be treated and let their personality shine as bright as the day they were interviewed / hired for the position. As it ended up, after looking around we didn't make the exchange , we'll try the Cape Carteret store . *The associate we encountered had below the shoulder, thicker, dark hair that was parted down the middle. I'll end on a kind southern statement that speaks volumes : Bless her heart . . .

Ordered a less expensive inshore rod shown as in stock, plus some lures to make total over $100 for free shipping. Rod order was cancelled not in stock. Received the lures. Now I'm afraid to order a rod plus enough other items for free shipping. So I ordered another rod shown as in stock, but have to pay shipping. Waiting to see if this is also cancelled.
