First I want to start off with I know doing it hand done by yourself is better then going to a car wash but I was too lazy to clean my car by myself. Anyways great service and everything but what I really didn't like was I paid for the #1 cleaning service and it was bad for the price I paid it didn't even clean the car was still dirty and it didn't even clean my wheels at all not even shiny at all. My car honestly looks like it wasn't cleaned, if you want to get the #1 cleaning services don't get it it's honestly not worth it save your money and just get a quick wash or just hand wash your own car. There are a few negative reviews on this particular location, but personally I have not encountered a bad experience. I have a monthly membership and my bar code always works. I like that they give priority to members which means you get a "fast pass" advantage. Surf Thru Car wash gives out free air fresheners, free dash wipes, and free vacuum. All of these freebies are huge bonuses to me. The employees working always seem to be in a good mood when I have visited. They are nice and welcoming. The wash itself is great. It dispenses plenty of soap and cleans my car better than I would if I washed it myself. read more

So happy to see this company come into our area. I have had the subscription since it opened. Now that the higher ups have determined that manually brushing the vehicle before the wash is unnecessary, I will be cancelling that service. In talking with employees, they are not happy with the decision and agree the cars do not come out clean as before. At first I thought it was due to not being able to fill the positions, but was told, they added a new process to the wash and it was no longer needed. Was really enjoying using the service of this company, since there were locations in the various areas that I do my shopping and errands. Unfortunately, the quality and service of the car wash has gone downhill in recent months. They raised their rates which must have hurt business as their prices went back down, but they no longer have the two individuals at the start of the car wash scrubbing your vehicle. The front of our truck is still covered in bugs. I shouldn't have to go through multiple times to get my vehicle clean. This not only wastes time, it wastes product and water. As Taylor says, "bloods thick but nothing like a payroll." Clearly, they don't care for their customer, their employees, or the environment. Sadly, I have never given a business anything lower than 3 or four stars as I like to find the positive in everything. We have had two monthly top tier memberships, one for each vehicle for more than a couple of years, but no more, they lost our business and our neighbors'. The staff has always been nice, respectful and we definitely miss Flower! Some of the guys that were at the front who sprayed and used the brush were hit and miss, some seemed to hate their jobs, but for the most part, they try. In YELP Reviews you'll see, the business says "Business Customer Service Jun 19, 2024 (among others) - We appreciate your feedback and want to clarify that our decision to eliminate preppers is based on extensive testing over two years at multiple sites, with great results. We assure you that this approach aligns with the industry's current standards, as it reduces the risk of human error and potential damage to vehicles." - Um, yeah... NO! Not with great results! Worse results now! They have eliminated the bug spray at the front saying it's suppose to be in the bubbles they spray on now, which, with only one "prepper" cannot get the entire front of our vehicles, nor do they get the other side and it doesn't get the bugs off. We pay top dollar for the ultimate with the tire pressure spray before-hand, wait, excuse me, 'paid' because we have cancelled both memberships due to the lack of a clean vehicle, and whatever they changed in the dryer, it no longer dries as well as it used to. And nobody has time to go through multiple times as they suggest you can, but why would you need to if their machine didn't fail them/us. I did go through twice once and was given grief about it, even after pointing out all of the missed dirty spots and bugs... and the second time through was no better, and a complete waste of my time and our money. Time is valuable! Also, did you read in the quotes from the business "We assure you that this approach aligns with the industry's current standards," - oh you mean the standards of everyone taking advantage of everyone and not providing good quality care and service anymore... America is much too greedy now, and doesn't know how to provide good service anymore. Some businesses are great, but most definitely not this one. We'll go to a self serve car wash and clean our own cars with much better results for far less money. And it's not the money I'm whining about. It's that we pay for quality service and care, and don't receive it here anymore. It's very disappointing. Seriously, I paid $5 at a self serve car wash and it was timed well and cleaner than this place cleans anymore. Granted, the self serve doesn't have a dryer, but here, you have to get out and dry your vehicle with a towel anyway, so save yourself some money and time, and wash your car somewhere else. It is really sad that this company has failed to continue proper service to its customers anymore. The employees we spoke with say they don't understand why the change in lesser service and they agree that the changes are not for the better. I read that the prices came down a little, even if they did, their machine/unit isn't cleaning and drying as well as it used to, and with the two or three people gone that were prepping your vehicle before it goes through the wash, it lessens the service and care for their customers... us. Charge way to much and they STOPPED scrubbing the car in the beginning and the wash DOES NOT clean the car properly . Your lucky to get off the dirt driving thru 3 times . Also a lot of the vacuums are broken and have no sucking power . Take your hard earned money somewhere else . read more

Nice place. Go here every week. It does a fair job taking off the gunk and dirt but does leave a bit leftover, so it does not completely clean the rims as well even though I have the wheel cleaner in my monthly membership, which is $30 a month for the ultimate package, which includes wheel clean, tri soap, rain x, wax, rinse and tire shine. I'm overall happy with the result. Just the vacuums are always packed, so that's a bummer best to come in early. read more

Be careful! My truck was damaged... I have been going to Surf Thru since they opened even bought a monthly membership which I'm now canceling. Something inside the wash nearly broke my mirror. Luckily I was able to snap it back in place. I filed a report with the supervisor. I finally decided to get the "monthly" membership listed on their sign. Cashier said I had to pay for two months? WTH? I said OK I would pay for two months and held out the money. She told me I couldn't pay cash and that I had to pay by card and with an ID. Not being that gullible, they lost a $40 sale, I got my car washed, and now I am looking for a new car wash. Every time I go to this location my car is being slammed with the manual brushes. These boys are constantly hitting my brand new car really hard. I am just going to wash it at home now. I go through many Surf Thru and I have to say .. the one thing I noticed when I come across the drive through is the 2 employees directing you before they start manually brushing the particles down on the surface of the car. Most are quick and just a quick brush through. Almost looks as if they are lazy For me most times I get a bit disappointed because there are certain areas that I think they could have reached/brushed but they miss it. Well I can't expect too much because it's a drive through touch less car wash. Today was a good wash day , the 2 gentleman did such a thorough job. I had all these bugs in the front of my car and I noticed that they did not rush through it . They both took some time scrubbing that off. It really did surprised me because I did not expect that! I love Surf Thru and am so glad it's in little ol Selma! I used to go to the Surf Thru in Clovis (on Shaw) when I lived near the airport. Even though this location was still out of the way for me, I kept coming back because of great service and convenience--I just love that the price is so cheap and you get to vacuum out your car without hauling a bucket of quarters with you like at the old school self wash places. Moving closer to downtown Fres definitely cut down my trips to the Clovis side of Shaw so my car has been un washed for most of the summer! I work in Selma so this new Surf Thru is perfect for me! I finally went on Saturday about lunch time and it was busy but I only had to wait in line for about 2 minutes. Friendly customer service, I like how you always get a dash wipe and a trash bag (my car needed both!!) you can also purchase other car cleaning supplies while paying for your car wash. The crew that does the first rinse off and cleans your tires does an excellent job!! My car came out looking great! Highly recommend trying this car wash out. read more

Customer service was excellent! I went through the wash and I was vacuuming my vehicle when an employee greeted me. He said that the bottom edges of my Tahoe were still dirty and if I'd like to run it through the wash again at No charge I could. This place is so slow! I purchased the memebership so I could get through quickly, however often I have found the Menefee line is closed and you have to wait in the pay line. This line is so slow spend almost 10 min per car I have noticed. It took me 25 min to get through one time! read more

This was my first time coming to this car wash and it was AMAZING. It was busy since it was Saturday morning but the line moved quick. The attendant was very knowledgeable and gave me some information on all the washes. When i had to pay she asked me if my dog wanted a treat which I thought was so sweet considering my dog is a bully breed and most people are scared of him. Not sure if all locations do this but they had me at dog treats lol My car had a bunch of bugs on the front which the guys at the front got to quickly and the wash overall was great. Some parts just weren't dry fully so I recommend taking something to dry your car with. Overall, great experience and I WILL come again. read more

I have been going to Surf Thru Express Car Wash in Selma since it opened and last month my car was hit by one of the employees using the brushes and left a pretty good size dent on my window frame with a scratch on my wheel panel. I filed a report. The manager called me back on timely manner and checked their camera. He stated that that had happened. He apologized for the incident and said he would take care of it. He sent me to Don's Body and Paint in Kingsburg. By the next week my was in the shop. He also provided me with a rental while my car was getting fixed. He contacted me during the time my car was in the shop to check the status of my car and if I needed anything. Very professional and concerned. Don's did an awesome job. I was very pleased all around. Two weeks from time of incident to getting my car fixed and to me! I would say they are pretty good place! Needless to say I will continue to go back. I recently went through surf and turf and while in the car wash my ride got very bumpy when getting out of my car to check it realized it had done some damage to my vehicle. I filed a damage claim as they said they would send it to "corporate" 2 weeks later come to find out me seeing the footage and the claim in my car was denied. They have a bunch of kids who don't know what they are doing working. And they do not have a "corporate" office as they mentioned there so called corporate is Tulare surf and turf which when calling the Tulare surf and turf they had no idea what was going on as well. read more
