Knowledgeable, unbelievably fair on price, got the board I wanted (Blak Box II), huge selection of everything surf. I was traveling from the US, so I recovered the sales tax at the airport's Customs & TRS offices (Thanks for the airport info Andrew).
Surfed it and flew home. It doesn't get better.
Hint to travelers: there are two offices in the airport you'll need to visit to recover sales tax. The first office is downstairs in the International Arrivals Terminal. Show your merchandise and sales receipt. A Customs Officer will stamp it to indicate they witnessed it. Then go to departures and check-in your merchandise (good luck shipping a board, Qantas is free, but airport baggage handlers will do their best to destroy it. I wrapped it in 25 meters of bubble wrap, and they still cracked the tail and dinged the rail. The nose, bottom and top survived!).
After checking-in, go to the second customs office which is on the departures level. It was about in the middle near a flower shop in the back (ask the airport info desk for the exact locations of each office). In the departures' Customs Office, an officer will review the stamped receipt and credit your credit card. There was no waiting in either office. Easy.
