It's spendo, there's no getting around that, but hey, you pay for quality, right? And yeah, they cater mainly to women, but they've got a decent men's range too, and their hallmark carries across both: quality fabrics and simple yet amazing cuts. It's casual and it looks ace. For me, clothes are all about the cut. I'd rather take a $5 t-shirt that fits well than a $200 Prada one that sucks. The tees here are about a hunjy each though, so don't go too crazy. Pop quiz: it's pronounced "Basic". I didn't know that and sounded like an idiot saying it phoenetically. Yeesh.

Definitely stay away from the 'Eyelet Detail Ballerina Flat' - yes so super cute, but has a design flaw and leather is so not premium Italian leather, and tears very easily. I reached out to Bassike after my $600+ purchase, having them for only two weeks, worn about 5 times and the leather has torn on the heel area, both shoes and looks shabby. Basically Bassike Customer Service made it very clear they would not be replacing them, after reaching out twice. I have never experienced such poor Customer Service, so disappointing! Oh but apparently I can make an arrangement to take the shoes into the store for further assessment but was made clear that the decision is not likely to change. Well thank you for your premium service Bassike. Perhaps stay away from footwear sales.

The designs have got that UK mod look but not too ostentatious. The shirts are quite fitted and suited my boy perfectly. It's hard to find the right shirt so I was glad to see a Jack London store in World Square, Sydney. They use good quality materials and make hot suits, sturdy winter jackets and some comfy cardy's for the chillier months. Some of their items are nice and made with suede, cotton, rarely 100% wool, however, unfortunately they use a lot of crappy synthetic fabrics. This store was originally near Martin Place before relocating too much larger premises in Westfields Sydney. The new store is absolutely amazing. The fit out is breathtaking and definitely up to world standards (think Opening Ceremony in Tokyo or Colete in Paris, only slightly more conservative in aesthetic). The product assortment is beautifully curated. The last time I was there the lady that served me was really helpful. I was looking to buy a shirt. She showed me the whole collection and explained the differences in each of the shirts. Her knowledge of the products they sell was incredible. They take a very service orientated approach to sales, which I love. They even offered me a cup of tea or coffee while I was viewing the collection. I will definitely be coming back. Very highly recommended.

Sure the prices are high but these are designer brands after all and to be expected. Although I have to admit Incu marks it up quite high. This place fits right into my approach to shopping. I don't shop often at all so I have a small wardrobe, but when I do I tend to buy investment pieces that would last me years. I have bought a few items here (mostly when its on sale) and even the most simple items look different when worn. My favourite designer is Alexander Wang and his casual wear line is amazing. He puts a bit of cool to my usual uniform of jeans and t-shirt! The assistants there are usually design students and are nice enough when approached. I guess the clothes speak for themselves and their demeanor reflective of most designer stores. Truth is, at current market conditions, I would rather shop online because you can get all of these designers on websites such as net-a-porter at much lower prices. But if I can't wait or if its sold out overseas, this is when I head to Incu. Lovely store with beautiful clothing.
