I am a DoorDash driver, and this was one of the most disrespectful experiences I've had while…read morepicking up an order. When I arrived, the order was not ready and was still being prepared. Since I knew I would be waiting, I politely asked if I could use the restroom. I was told no. I initially assumed there had been a misunderstanding, so I explained that I wasn't a random passerby looking for a public restroom. I was there to pick up an active DoorDash order and would be waiting while they finished preparing it. Unlike employees who have a workplace with designated break areas and restroom access, delivery drivers spend their entire workday on the road. We don't have a home base to return to between orders. Because of that, we often rely on the basic courtesy of restaurants and businesses we partner with while conducting pickups and deliveries. Most businesses understand this and treat drivers respectfully. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. What happened next was what bothered me most. Rather than simply explaining their policy and treating me with basic courtesy, the employees largely stopped engaging with me altogether. They avoided eye contact, ignored my attempts to communicate, and acted as though I wasn't standing there. It was an incredibly dehumanizing experience. After waiting several more minutes, I said, "I could have been done by now." The only response I received was, "It's not for the public." I again explained that I was there for an active pickup and was waiting on an order that still wasn't ready. Once again, I was met with silence. To be clear, I completely understand that businesses located on busy commercial streets cannot allow every random person who walks in off the street to use their restroom. That's not what this situation was. I was there performing a service directly connected to their business. DoorDash drivers are part of the fulfillment process that allows restaurants to participate in DoorDash, reach additional customers, and generate revenue from delivery orders. I wasn't asking for special treatment--just the basic courtesy of using the restroom while waiting on an order that they were still preparing. What makes this even more frustrating is that if the order had been ready when I arrived, I would have already been gone. The only reason I was standing there waiting was because of the restaurant's delay. At that point, I decided to unassign myself from the order, even though it was a high-paying delivery. If a business is unwilling to show basic respect to the drivers helping deliver its orders, then it can find someone else to complete those deliveries. I will also be reporting this experience to DoorDash so they are aware of how drivers are being treated at this location. To fellow Dashers: I strongly encourage you to decline orders from this establishment and spend your time supporting businesses that treat delivery drivers with professionalism and basic human dignity. To potential customers: please consider whether this is the kind of business you want to support. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, including the people helping get your food to your door.

I wanted something in the line w coconut and bananas. none of their smoothies contain added sweeteners which is a plus. The one I chose was the almond joy with almond milk base w creamy banana, peanut butter, chocolate chips, almonds I, coconut, honey and so yummy tasting. The visits started out pretty good as we were a group of 12 coming into their establishment to start their day and we were their first clients. To walk in we expressed that we understood that only one person was working and that the timing may be a little bit slower due to the fact that she was the only one there. We put our orders in and slowly started seeing other clients of theirs come in the door and place orders. We could tell that some may have been online but let's remember that we walked in as they were opening. We waited an hour and 35 minutes to get paninis and smoothies and started noticing the people that had come in behind us and online orders were getting their food before us. We went to the front counter to ask, "Why are people getting their orders before us?" and we expressed that it was because they placed their orders online and that online orders had their own process. We were unable to accept this as we were their first clients of the day. We waited an hour and a half and people behind us and all non-orders were receiving their food before us. This was not just about the customer service and speed at which we received our order. We ordered a banana and peanut butter panini and two apple and cheese paninis, of which the bread was dry. There were barely any ingredients on the sandwich and it just did not taste good at all. This may be my first time saying I do not recommend a restaurant but this time I must say it. I can say the establishment was clean. It's an open kitchen where you can see the restaurant. They had games for kids to play and the ingredients seem to be fresh. I just spoke with the owner and got a better understanding of what happened. While I won't adjust what was said I will say the due to the fresh ingredients, situational challenges and promptness of reply of the owner, I will adjust my review as to not hurt this local small business. The owner was courteous, understanding and apologetic. She gave a detailed answer as to what happened and how they plan to improve.

I'm pretty familiar Avon but Bela Vida is located away from all the other attractions, right next to a small fitness club. Bela Vida is such a beautiful space, there's positive words right outside the door. The beautiful plants all over the space made me want to stay. The natural materials made this place comfortable and relaxing. The menu of teas and protein shakes is the size of the whole wall. I decided to go with the Dirt Cake Lean & Fit Shake. I got mine in a medium size, which was a pretty generous size, and I realized I could have gone with a small. This was pretty chocolatey, but I could tell there was protein powder as the base. Well I knew what I was getting, so I wasn't so let down by the after taste. I will say this was my breakfast and lunch today. It was very filling and decently tasty. What I enjoyed a lot more than the shake it's self, is the space and the environment. It is a great space to be alone or with friends. I enjoyed reading parts of the book The Astrology of You and Me, they had on the little table. And the background music was a great counterpart. I plan to return here in the future and try something else.

Place is very open, a single waist high counter and blenders. Ladies are friendly and knowledgeable in all the different boosted teas they offer. Not a tea person, so I opted for a protein shake. The tea was strong, tart but the fruit flavors were not strong enough to step on the green tea flavor. The protein shake was grainy but had a good flavor. Creamy, cold, and thick. They do topping as well but I opted against adding it. Price is on par for a shake place. They also have oat balls and other misc snacks. It's a pretty decent shake, and a very good tea place. A good option for tea if you're in the area.

The cashier was not very kind and rolled her eyes when I asked her to repeat herself (I couldn't hear through the mask and plexiglass). I work in customer service, so I always make it a point to be VERY kind to the workers--especially women, who are taught to be apologetic! However, it was a challenge when she also told me they weren't making milkshakes that day. She said, "No. We're not doing those," and proceeded to roll her eyes again. It's not about what you say--it's about HOW you say it. Additionally, the service took a long time. I felt really bad for the cashier because she was the only one working, which meant my order took about 20 minutes to make. She was balancing two other transactions as well... I remained patient but left feeling a little disrespected. I completely understand the pain & stress of being in customer service, but you shouldn't take it out on others. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but I was hurt by her demeanor (I felt like I had to apologize just for being there). Anyways, the bowl was yummy and filling, so it boosted my mood immediately. I got the U-N-I-T-Y bowl and ate it outside. Very refreshing! I also got a banana smoothie. It was pretty bland, but luckily I was full from the açaí bowl. I would come here again. Now that I know the vibe, it's no big deal!

Found this well reviewed shop close by, so we dropped in. The inside is very sparse, lots of stuff strewn around. It was lacking a lot of polish, but it didn't seem too sketchy. We ordered from the nice lady an order of dumplings, pirogies, and a couple of bao buns. Price was good, and food took about 15 minutes to cook but we did some trekking locally to waste time, We got our food, took some pics and dug in. The pirogies were for me, and I must say that they were not pirogies. It was mashed potatoes with cheese in a dumpling wrapper. The dumpling wrappers were fresh, but the dough was not what I expected. The potato and cheese was pretty good though. Didn't use a farmers cheese but did some type of white cheese. The bao were generic. They used the same filling as the dumplings as the bao filling. It really needed a sauce inside to help differentiate it from the dumplings. We also got a black sesame bao, but the inside was very watery and not appetizing at all. So we threw that one away. The owner is a very nice lady, and she's working hard to keep her place busy. It's clear that the stresses of the day keep her strained, but she does mean well enough. For those in the area, it's not a drive to destination. It's pretty good dumplings in a run down shop with an owner fighting to stay afloat. I would recommend going here if you want to support local, and don't mind a bit of grit. The dumplings are fresh, the pirogies are interesting renditions, and they do boba tea.
