I…read moreapproached PassMeFast in good faith, but in hindsight, I believe they acted in a manner that was misleading, unhelpful, and unlawful under UK consumer protection legislation. My situation: In the third week of July, I called and clearly explained that my car insurance would run out in October. I told the sales agent the only reason I would sign up with them -- and pay double what I was paying another instructor -- was if they could secure me a cancellation test between August and October. I made it absolutely clear that my signing up was contingent on this and added that the website was unclear which is why I was calling to make sure I understood the services exactly. The agent told me current test dates showing as November or December (which I stated I was aware of and why I am looking to pay for a service to do better than this), but they had access to cancellations and assured me it would be sorted. What actually happened: As soon as I paid, I received an email saying they'd be looking for test dates between 31 October and 31 December -- the complete opposite of what we discussed. I rang straight away and spoke to someone called Katerina, who told me not to worry, she would look for earlier dates at other locations and worst case, I'd be entitled to a full refund. A couple of hours later, I was booked for 30 December. I called again and spoke to Shay, who escalated the matter to his manager. That manager said I'd be refunded except for £375, which isn't acceptable. I entered into this agreement based on a specific condition that has not been met. Under the Unfair Commercial Practices CMA207, it's illegal for a company to mislead a customer to secure a sale. If the cancellation timeframe was a key part of the agreement (which it was), and they didn't intend to honour it, the sale was based on misleading information and omissions. The specific portions of the law that PassMeFast violated are 5.2, 5.4, and 6.2 According to PassMeFast because the sales rep said "tests are normally scheduling between Nov-Dec," that one line absolves their responsibility. But it ignores the entire rest of the 5 minute conversation, which was misleading about the services you perform regarding cancellations. This is simple logic, would I have signed up for the service had the rep said "Tests are booking Nov-Dec and once we lock you in, we will not further search for cancellations?" No, I wouldn't have. The sales rep said something different to make the sale, and you are not being accountable to what appear to be intentionally false and misleading sales practices.

After cancelling my crash course with them (which I paid a £300 deposit for), I was told I would lose the deposit -- fine. But they failed to mention that they would also cancel my practical driving test, which they originally booked in Chester. I rescheduled that test to Blackpool using my own DVSA account, as you can't hold two bookings at once -- so this was fully under my control. Despite this, Pass Me Fast accessed my personal booking and cancelled the Blackpool test without my knowledge or permission. They gave me no communication, no refund, and absolutely no right to cancel a test that I altered and controlled after the course was cancelled. They used my personal details, interfered with my government booking, and left me with no test, no money, and no explanation. This isn't just poor service -- it borders on data misuse, unauthorised interference, and gross negligence. Do not trust this company with your money or your personal information. I will be pursuing this through the ICO, Trading Standards, and legal action. Save yourself the stress and book directly through a reputable instructor.

Unfortunately however, I experienced the opposite and am now not able to get that £600 back. In the space of 3 months I had only completed 2 and a half hours worth of lessons. My instructor had a lot of personal matters to attend to, my instructor was late to lessons and I would still not get the full hours worth of lesson despite them being late. Booking a lesson was difficult within itself as my instructor stated he receives many messages from other students therefore it would just get lost therefore he recommended ringing instead. Whilst I did attempt to ring, there were many occasions where they would be in a lesson with another student therefore I would have to ring another time however sometimes there would be no answer. Lessons were constantly delayed. I then told my instructor that I would like to switch to automatic and asked if I could receive a refund, to which the response was that they had spoken to Suja Driving Company and would not be able to get a refund, my only options were to give remaining hours to a friend/family member or complete my remaining hours. So I chose to complete my remaining hours yet I have not had a single lesson since again due to poor communication. I emailed Suja Driving School now to ask for a refund several times, however time and time again this request has been rejected. Whilst it may be stated in your policy that refunds are not available, there should be special circumstances as this is not fair and there are many students who work hard for their money. £600 was lost for nothing.

    Awful experience with Suja Instructor! Amjad was rude and would be on his phone 99% of the time…read morewhile simultaneously trying to give directions as I practicing for my test! I felt scared and thought this was dangerous. When confronted him, he lost his temper. Refused to let me practice with the Sat Nav or Bay Parking. Wasted all my hours and was pressuring me to book more. I failed my test. Horrible learning experience wouldn't recommend to anyone.
