I really appreciated that the lessons were bespoke and tailored for my needs. Dan has a calm nature which I appreciated. Each lesson finished with goals for the next lesson. If I ever needed to recap anything from general driving to manoeuvres we did it either in the lesson I was having or the following week. I passed my driving test first time last week and that's down to Dan and his support. He taught me to be a safe and confident drive, I am truly grateful. I would recommend him 100% to anybody!

My boyfriend recommended wighams driving school after he passed on his first attempt with David Eblet. I got in touch with David and he started lessons for me straight away in August. He was a lot calmer than my previous instructor and explained things in a way you can understand easily and he gradually built my confidence back up. I booked my test at the end of September and passed first time with only 1 minor. I also just completed a pass plus course with David Eblet as well which was just as pleasant and enjoyable as the lessons. I would definitely recommend wighams and David Eblet as a driving instructor :)

I would like to…read morestart this by saying that my "instructor" did not have his ID displayed, he did not show me that he was a certified instructor, which he should have done. So I booked 10 hours worth of lessons in October 2017, things were going okay, although my instructor cancelled lessons, leaving me without driving for 2 weeks. When my 10m hours was up, I could not book another block of hours, I had to go pay-as-you-go, which was very annoying as it became apparent that my instructor took on more people, leaving no time for me so I was driving very inconsistently. After 15 hours, my instructor started asking me to book my test (this is already shady as you need around 30-40 hours driving before you can comfortably drive on your own!). I booked my test for the 26th of January 2018 and just a week before my test, I found out that my instructor actually wrote down the day before, this didn't bother me much as I just took it as human error, however, what he should have done is given me his instructor reference number as that ensures that he will not be double booked. So I rebooked my test for the 23rd of January 2018, the night before my test, I text him to confirm the details; turns out he wrote down the wrong time this time, after telling me there is nothing he can do unless I can bring my own car to the test (which is stupid enough as I've been driving HIS car and was used to HIS car, anyone who knows anything about cars knows that they're all different and take some getting used to, especially for a new driver!). I had to cancel my test and lose £62. The earliest test date he had available was the 13th of March but he did not have the time to teach me throughout February, how he thought I was going ton pass my test without driving for over a month baffles me! Not only that, whenever I attempted to contact him he would not answer his phone or take 4 days to reply to a text message! I decided the best thing to do was to find a new instructor, after one lesson with him it became apparent that the Surepass instructor did not teach me well enough at all, they cut corners whenever possible and DO NOT teach you how to drive! So now instead of my test being in January, I have to wait until April! Side note: My new driving instructor has another student who has come to him from Surepass as she, like me, paid for 10 hours of lessons, the instructor showed up for the first lesson, and never again and she was unable to get her money back.

I failed my driving test 14!! times in the past with various other driving Instructors throughout the years, but MIchael was able to explain driving manoeuvres in such an easy to understand way, that I got it almost immediately. He got me through my test and I am so grateful. I would recommend MIchael Russell to anyone learning to drive, as he is a brilliant driving instructor and a lovely fella. I took an intensive 10 hour course over 2 days with my test at the end of day 2. I was, at all times, treated with courteous welcome, whether calling by phone or arriving in person. The varied driving experience of my instructor and his teaching skills soon instilled in me a confidence and discipline in driving this huge vehicle. I was soon convinced that their assessment of the driving hours I needed was not a gross underestimate! Arriving at the test centre I was nervous but fully aware I could achieve the required standard. My examination was a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Afterwards I was left in no doubt by my instructor that I still had faults to be aware of and to work on. I have seldom felt so confident in recommending anything as much as Red Rose Training. I know I made a fortunate choice and I am now looking forward to the rest of my new career.

No respect for me as paying client. 16 hours practice driving and I did even damage one of their precious wing mirrors. Pat enjoyed directing me into Bolton Town Centre. I paid for two tests and the routes. On each occasion I had zero experience of each route. Each route were never practiced during my paid practice time. Although the instructors are aware of 'known routes' , to Liverpool, or past Bury Market . instructors prefer to keep it all mystery and the instructor Pat', preferred to "batter my head"! At redrose training a lot of courses run simultaneously LGV and all manner of construction plant training. They make enough money to not bother about enabling a Salfordian attaining a D1 minibus license.. There's no pension for me, the greedy instructors are still instructors at pension age.

VOID AT ALL COST!!!…read more Taught by Chris Martin from Alan's Driving School in Sheffield. My girlfriend was learning over 70 hours (over two years)and still haven'tbeing taughtparallel parking or emergency stop! And because he claims that his diary is always full, he only gave one hour per week to my girlfriend even when we requested extra hours numerous time. The worst thing is, the lessons always get cancelled due to numerous excuses with his Mini or maybe he's on holiday etc. Same as the earlier reviews,the lessons consist of driving home the previous student, driving Chris home to go to the toilet, then driving to pick up the next person. So if you're taking one hour lessons, you'll probably only be driving for 40 minutes at best including driving the last student home, then you'll be sitting at the cramped backseat for half an hour while the next student drives you home. I knew we should have stopped earlier but my girlfriend feared change and it dragged on for 2 years until I was absolutely fed up! I called AA driving school and stop taking lessons with Alan's Driving School! And we glad we did change! The new driving instructor from AA was 10 times more professional and gets straight to the point. And within few hours of practise in parallel parking and emergency stops (which she never been taught), she was ready to book her test! After leaving Alan's Driving School, my girlfriend recalled that Chris Martin requested her to pay him a practical test fee of £62 but had no receipt from him. So we sent him a couple of messages to firstly say good bye then to see if its refundable. We got no response whatsoever! not even a goodbye! We've later asked the new driving instructor from AA to found out that you have to personally book the practical test online and she shouldn't have paid the instructor the test fees. Well, we're glad that we've left Alan's Driving School, and I personally would not want to see anymore victims....SO PLEASE VOID ALAN'S DRIVING SCHOOL AT ALL COST!!! Best to use an established driving school like BSM, AA or RED where they have an scheduled learning plan.
