Took a class here with a girlfriend for Chinese New Year. We had the best time! Made a variety of dishes and were led step by step by knowledgeable chefs. All the supplies are ready you just follow the directions given. The final meal was so tasty and you are given all the recipes at the end of the class. Bonus you also get a purchase discount for the store after the class. I do wish that you could cook the meal just with who you come with. We were paired with another couple so we shared the cooking responsibilities. It was a fun experience I would do again!

We did the Tuscan pasta dinner cooking class . The store is beautiful, Chef John & Jonah were helpful and pleasant. The rest of the assistants were great and knowledgeable as well. We enjoyed this event and would take another class.

We had an amazing time learning to cook an Italian meal with Chef Julie and Chef Nick. Highly recommend this!

We were given a gift of a cooking class for Christmas for my husband and I. We signed up and took the Mediterranean cooking class. It was outstanding. We made couscous with apricots and Pinenuts. Salmon, cumin carrots and an incredible lemon cake. Everything was taught so wel, all hands on. Incredible instructor and helpers. We loved it and learned a lot. Will use all of these recipes. Learned how to make a lemon zest garlic sauce too. Plus, you get 10% discount on anything in the store. We will be back

I can confirm that cooking classes at Sur la Table are definitely hands on as I have taken many cooking classes over the years from here & have learned how to make tamales, Coq au Vin to Korean BBQ (Ok seriously, I already knew how to cook Korean BBQ along with many other Korean dishes since I'm half Korean & the only reason I took the class was to see what, if anything, this person could teach me that was any different. Let's just say I have mad skills & leave it at that! LOL) & so much more. The most recent class I took, Crêpes 3 Ways with Chef Julie was AWESOME!!!! I wasn't sure what to expect since it's been a few years since stepping foot into the Sur la Table's kitchen for a cooking class, plus crêpes can be tricky. I tried making them on my own about 10 years ago & let's just say they weren't all that pretty. Chef Julie had pre-prepped the standard crêpe batter but had us "home chefs" make the chocolate crêpe mix which had to sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or so (several hours to over night is best for crepe batter). We all took part in prepping the ingredients that were to be used in the 3 different crêpes from dicing the fruit & preparing the Marscarpone for Chocolate Crêpes with Berries & Marscarpone Cream, the goat cheese with dill for savory Crêpes Filled with Smoked Salmon, Goat Cheese & Fresh Dill, to sectioning oranges for a yummy Flambéed Crêpes with Carmalized Orange & Brandy Sauce (aka Crêpes Suzette). After the prepping everyone made crepes but here's where it got interesting. Most people would assume that you had to have a crêpe pan but not so. We had 3 hot plate stations and only 2 crêpe pans. The station I shared with my daughter & friend, well we used a small fry pan & quite honestly it was pretty easy to make it in that. We did take our turn using the crêpe pan which would definitely make it easier if you were going to try & flip it without any other utensils, as in just using the pan & flipping it in the air like my show off daughter did. We all got to taste our creations & were given all the recipes plus 10% off any purchase in the store that day. And you may think that you could just Google recipes & make them on your own, and you can, however, sometimes it's nice to have the chef there providing their secrets & tricks of the trade to make the recipe more interesting or easier. I love these classes & plan on attending another class Memorial Day weekend. And I'm contemplating on taking their macaron class. So would I recommend taking a class or two? You bet I would!

So awesome to have a kitchenware store the caliber of SLT in little ol Santa Rosa. Picked up my Mauviel Roasting pan from France for a great deal. I always get my german wooden dish brushes here, very eco! Would love to attend cooking class here, looks fun & informative. I should reach out to my peeps. Great location at Montgomery Village.

This is my second cooking class experience here and I had a blast each time!! 5 Stars all the way! We got to cook in the fully equipped connected kitchen. We were supplied high quality ingredients and instruction. (Chef Julie Rocks!!) We, yes, we prepped and cooked a delicious delicious meal. I am not a great or even mediocre cook, but We did it and it was delicious. I had a blast, learned a lot, and walked away with a few new kitchen tools I realize I desperately needed. I appreciate the hospitality and patience of the staff and totally plan to be back for a 3rd Trip! This unique shop offers a variety of kitchen utensils, cookware, serve ware... and I'll be honest, I can't name all they offer. It's pretty much any culinary paradise filled with anything cooking related item you could ask for. They offer literally any cooking gadget in any color you could name. A few more notes: Parking was easy, close, and free Location is near downtown and easy to get to Kitchen and store is clean. Hygiene is a must The staff was FUN! They made cooking a blast!

Disappointing Customer Service and Lack of Communication…read more I wanted to support a local small business, thinking I'd have a better experience, but unfortunately, I think I'll be shopping at Costco from now on. Initially, everything went smoothly until I paid for my refrigerator. After that, communication was almost nonexistent. I paid half by card and the rest in cash, but for some reason, they couldn't print me a receipt. I was told it would be emailed to me, but it never arrived. I had to call back to request a receipt and ask for an update on when my refrigerator would be available. I purchased a GE Café refrigerator costing around $5,000, and I was initially unsure about the color. I was told I could return it for another one if I wasn't satisfied, but what wasn't clearly explained to me was that returning it to exchange for a different model or color would result in a 25% restocking fee. I wish this had been disclosed upfront so I could have made a fully informed decision before purchasing. The order was placed on Monday, and by Friday, I received a message saying the refrigerator had arrived and that I needed to schedule delivery. I called back and left a message with my availability, then waited an entire day for a response. I shouldn't have to repeatedly call and play phone tag just to arrange delivery. I had already been without a refrigerator for a week and was desperate to get one, so I called again the following day to express my frustration. That's when I was told a delivery date and time had already been scheduled, but no one had notified me. A simple phone call or message would have prevented the entire misunderstanding. The one positive part of my experience was the delivery. Tony, the delivery driver, was fast, efficient, and careful with my property. He did an excellent job, and I appreciate his professionalism. He is the reason I'm not giving this business a one-star review. Overall, spending nearly $5,000 on a refrigerator should come with better communication, transparency, and customer service. I wanted to support a small local business, but this experience left me disappointed. Unfortunately, I can't say I would shop here again.

If you value fancy things and mediocre food, this place is not your place. So this place is kind of close to downtown, near the hockey rink, in an old industrial building. It is the very definition of what I would call a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. When I walked in, I was incredibly impressed by the amount of beautiful and delicious-looking food in their case! I quickly studied the menu and decided on the bacon bowl. It had eggs, green chili salsa, home-fried potatoes, seasonal veggies, all served on a bed of lettuce. The flavors were outstanding. Not only was it a good-sized breakfast, but the flavors were just delicious. The veggies were perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. The egg and potatoes were nice, and the overall flavor was just wonderful. I liked this place so much that I ended up coming back on day two of my trip just to eat here again with a friend! The people were absolutely incredible at this location! Each day I had a wonderful conversation and honestly just felt so included and acknowledged. If I lived closer, this would be a place that would be on my weekly routine.

I stop in for the savory pastries as snacks often, but most recently I dropped in for a couple of sweet treats to take to a friend's house for dinner. We had Strawberry and Rhubarb tart and a couple of mini-bundt chocolate cakes. Both were a hit! Great bakery! Give them a shot!
