Acrylic nail extensions refill: Very hit or miss depending on which nail tech you get. The gentlemen who work there do the best job it seems, but even then, the quality of the nails is never consistent. My last experience there, the nail tech was polite but did not listen to me and claimed to have the ability to do a design but then couldn't actually do it, citing she didn't have the right equipment. She didn't offer for another nail tech to do the design for me which has been my experience at other nail salons where this has happened. The shape and length of my nails was awful, uneven and misshapen. The nails were also done way too thick. When I asked her to fix the shape she made it worse, rushed through putting the shellac on and didn't check to make sure it was dry resulting in smudging. When I went back in 5 mins after I paid, asking for someone to fix the shellac, I was told to come back in 30 minutes. I refused and told them I was never coming back and I never will. I went to Mary's Nails instead, also in Woodbine Mall and, they were able to salvage the horrific mess Surprise Nails did, thankfully. Other times I have gone in, asked for a refill, told to sit down only to be told a few minutes later, that they were too busy to take me or were "closing early". It should be noted the service has only been this terrible when the gentlemen who I think owns the salon was not present. He is wonderful, very friendly, and his work is better, but as noted, even he can be hit or miss with the quality. Seems like you get what you pay for as an acrylic refill or full set with shellac, is only $35. Not worth it. You're better off paying the extra $5 and going to Mary's Nails instead where an acrylic full set or refill with shellac is $40. I am very disappointed with the quality and service I received and I will not be returning. read more
