From the very start, I knew Fernando was the guy for this job. During the consultation, he addressed everything on my list of concerns before I even said something. It almost felt like he could read my mind, but I know that is the result of many years of experience. Fernando and his partner took the bathroom down to concrete and studs and made sure everything was properly addressed. Plumbing, electrical, layout, etc. I wanted to be sure the person I hired for this bathroom addresssed more than just the cosmetic appearance, and he absolutely did! When he finished, the bathroom was beautifully put back together, everything was functioning properly- actually better than it was before the renovation. His work exceeded my expectations, and I tend to expect perfection! He communicates thoroughly. I was kept updated the entire process and his recommendations always felt like he truly cared. He consistently mentioned wanting to ensure the big investment of a bathroom renovation was protected. Both of the men are kind, professional and efficient. If you need a custom home built then you would be in better hands elsewhere. I could not recommend them less. ----‐---------------- We started this process on good footing, we spent time getting to know their team, talking through the project and setting expectations. We read their positive reviews and they put on a good face. But soon after construction started we realized that this team is completely out of their depth. As a whole they are destructively uncommunicative and are outright deceitful, Cesar their GC, and Katherine one of the business owners, particularly so. When problems were encountered, instead of working through solutions together, their strategy was to stall for as long as possible and to ignore our attempts to keep the project moving forward. Their behavior cost us months of delays which resulted in thousands of dollars lost, needless worry and lasting issues with our home and property. If you decide to move forward with this team, please keep record of every interaction, be extremely specific in your contract, and keep your attorney on hand. After our move in, and after clear explicit instructions from me on numerous occasions, business owner Katherine illegally and covertly recorded the exterior and interior of our property on multiple occasions, including video recording me inside of my home while I was unaware. Katherine and the rest of the team do not care about legality, your privacy, or the basic respect of their clients. During the build they tried their best to get more money out of us while delivering substandard work. The only way we were able to move into the home after many months past our projected move in date and many weeks spent in extended stays was by going around them to schedule our final inspection with the county, by communicating with our title company & lender, by filing complaints with the BBB and ROC. Stay on top of your project. If you are providing custom architectural plans, please know that the time, money and planning that went into your build documents mean nothing to them, they will do as they please without your intervention. Consent is not a word in their vocabulary. They changed our home and design, damaged our newly installed materials and appliances, illegally dumped their waste on our property & refused to properly clean up, refused to do work explicitly outlined in our contract, and attempted to cut corners at every turn. They're unwilling to learn, improve or accept responsibility. Through my interactions with this team I have come to learn what the term "gaslighting" means. They continued to smile in my face, offering pleasantries and small talk, expecting me to quickly move past their damaging behavior while their actions and words remained persistently harmful. More than a month ago, I realized that a tree had poked a hole through a wall on the back of my…read moreproperty. Between this and wanting to raise the wall several feet to match the height of the wall by my neighbors on both sides, I knew I needed to speak to a masonry company. I used Thumbtack and found three companies that all seemed to do some great work. While two of the companies had ten or less reviews (with 5 stars out of 5 as the average), only A&A Masonry had more than one hundred reviews (also with 5 stars out of 5 as the average). I invited all three companies to stop by for an in-person quote. A&A Masonry was the only company to be very responsive as well as being able to schedule a very quick in-person visit to take place within a day or two. While they didn't initially provide the least expensive quote, they offered to do a lot more work and also discouraged me from unnecessary additional expenses which the other companies encouraged me to do. There was also some additional last minute damage identified when the tree was removed only a day earlier, and A&A Masonry was able to fix the wall for a minimal additional expense. It turned out that if I ended up using either of the other companies, I would have paid more, and it would have taken longer to complete the work. Juan and his team arrived at 5:30 AM to start the work. I expected it to take a few days for the work to be done but even with the extra work, it was still completed in only one day. They cleaned everything up as if they hadn't been there other than the work being completed exceeding my expectations. They also provided me multiple ways to pay afterwards. Alex was very easy to communicate with and quick at responding. Of the three companies I received quotes from, A&A Masonry provided me the most reasonable price while also providing me the most confidence in what I could expect.
