The OG free-fall ride in So Cal, or at least the first one I went on when it first opened. Supreme Scream still slaps! It offers great views and an incredible drop and launch back up. I just rode it today after work to de-stress and it worked. Would I wait more than an hour for this? No, but if you've never been on it or anything like it, it's worth the wait. I feel like this line moves faster than the other rides as well. It is located by the rail road tracks between the Boardwalk and Fiesta Village. read more

I think this ride is more scary at night. I don't have a fear of heights. Hubby does. It is very high. Don't get me wrong. Tip: keep your head up against the back like the operator instructs. We did this one at night last visit (Oct) and then we did this one yesterday (Dec) during the day. But it is a thrilling ride. Our son went on it again after we all went it. I'm to big of a Pu$$y to ride this! Lmao I have never been good on roller coasters or rides. I throw up every time. So this time they had to count me out. My hubby, our eldest son and middle son opted out as well. So I didn't feel like the biggest baby. ;) Only our youngest kids got on that's right our 11 year old twins and youngest boy got on:) They had to wait for 35 minutes in a huge line. While their guts were shaking up & down I was enjoying my dippin dots;) located right in front of this ride. The kids said they were screaming so loud because they thought they were going to shoot right off the ride. I was like & you wanted me to go with you haaaahaaaaaa me thinks not. Supreme Scream or as I call it the giant sitting Pogo Stick well because your sitting down wile being taken up really high before you plummet to the earth wile still sitting until your suddenly stopped and then shot back up again and again each time not as high as the one before making for a kinda smooth Pogo Stick type of feel before your ride is said and done! This is one drop tower I always do enjoy mostly because of this unique way it bounces up and down it makes for a good fun but very quick ride every time! Definitely plan on waiting for a bit on busy days as the line can get super long because well who doesn't like a pogo stick the plus side however is the line moves kinda fast when they have all three towers running so you will be screaming in no time at all! Once at the top you have a few seconds to check out the surrounding Orange County area which provides an awesome view of the city and if your on the right side you can get a distant view of the mouse house that's just down the street! Recently the park installed new LED lights on the tower making it able to be changed to any color they wish at night making for a super cool looking light up attraction! Overall this is an awesome ride and a must ride every Knott's visit so don't let it pass you by because you will be bummed that you couldn't Supreme Scream! read more

Date of visit: August 19, 2017 At the top of Supreme Scream, right before the initial drop - Me: "Hey, I can see my car from here!" My girlfriend: "Really?" Me: "Nah, just kidding... AAAAAAAHHH!!!" Supreme Scream at Knott's Berry Farm is billed as the tallest turbo drop-type amusement ride in the world, with a total height of 312 feet from its base to the top of the structure... the tallest structure in Orange County, and much taller than the Mission:Breakout ride at Disney California Adventure. The three towers that make up the ride hold twelve riders each, and are propelled upward at about 8 mph before briefly stopping at 252 feet - then are gradually dropped downward and upwards with a maximum G force of 4 at the initial drop. Out of the various roller coasters and thrill rides we've seen at Knott's, we decided that Supreme Scream would be relatively safe seeing how all it did was go straight up and down. But once we got on our seats, stowed our gear, and took off our glasses (btw, this is one of the few rides, if not the only one, at Knott's that has receptacles on the fence barriers for people to put their valuables in prior to boarding), we saw how high 252 feet looks from up above! And then, the initial drop... let's just say I don't know what eventually descended first, my stomach or my man parts. You definitely will enjoy this ride at Knott's - and yes, you WILL be screaming! read more

ACROPHOBIC ANTICS This S&S triple tower didn't deliver anywhere near the adrenaline rush I'd hoped for. Although the tower height is 325ft, this is measured to the top of the ride's coupling; the drop itself is only 252ft which is deceiving. What's more, the 12 person cabs only reach a maximum downward velocity of 45mph, which is NOTHING when you consider drop rides like (the now-removed) Pitt Fall at Kennywood and either of the Drop Zones at Kings Island/Dominion. Hell, even SFGAm's Giant Drop gets up to 62mph. Ride operators were chill and gave me some factoids when I chatted them up. Ops were controlled by a trio of dispatchers from a stucco building that reminded me of structures at sister park Cedar Point. Although it's an S&S tower attraction, it is NOT a combo drop/launch ride like Dominator at Dorney Park or Power Tower at ValleyFair! All three towers are a gradual rise and air-assisted drop, with a bit of bouncing up and down before finally settling back to ground level. It's actually quite tame; the initial ascent is the most fear-inducing part. Supreme Scream is the tallest freestanding structure in Orange County. For that, you're presented with some pretty nice views of Knotts and the rest of Buena Park....of course that all depends on which direction you're facing. The towers are laid out in a triangular footprint with a crowning marquee joining them at their apex. Thankfully wait times are pretty short, as I didn't see more than a 5-10 minute line throughout the day when I visited. Worth riding once but not as fun as Cedar Point's Power Tower. read more

Nuthin' but a G-Thang Baby... Yeah, like 4 mutha effin' G's!!! I got a wild hair up my a$$ and decided to go on this ride this past weekend, (after refusing to do so my last 4 or 5 visits). Surprisingly, nobody else in our group wanted to go with me. Hmmm... Now I had been on this ride many, many times prior, the last of which was a few years back during the Scary Farm. What I remembered best was that I then believed that I no longer had gonads large enough to ride it anymore and definitely none the size that I had when I was a much younger gent... It damn near scared the $hit outta me!!! So why I decided to try it again was beyond me. I learned two things after this latest adventure... 1) I can once again deal with the towering height and instaneous 4G sensations like I used to when I was a youngster, and; 2) Upon exit, this ride is NOT conducive to a favorable afternoon for those with degenerative discs in their back. Now... Is there a warning like most rides have telling peeps with back issues to avoid riding the damn thing? Probably. Did my dumb a$$ see it, or even look? Negative, Ghost Rider, (loosely referenced Knott's term inserted here). My bad. My thought process was, "hey, no herky jerky back and forth motion like the aforementioned Ghost Rider and I should be OK, right Ducky"? Nope... Forgot all about the G-Forces and what they could do to one's spinal column. But Hot Dayum was that fun!!! read more

I remember riding this ride when I was a teenager. It is a typical S7S drop tower and you go up slowly on this one as you get a really nice view of everything. Then you go up and down and all around. Beware they only open up 2 sections and not all three I guess to save on the wear and tear. The thrill is just going up to see the view and the first drop is cool, but when you rode Lex Luther at Six Flags, this is weak. But a 15 minute wait is worth it for sure. read more

Prior to riding this, I never rode a drop tower in my life. Was terrified of them. After riding this, that has changed to a degree. Is it scary? Yea, is it fun? Heck yea!!! Now I know how Wile e Coyote feels when he falls off those cliffs!! Once you pull down the typical S&S drop tower OTSR's, we rise up and start to climb 325ft tower. Now, here's a fun fact, if you look right. You actually can see Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout from the top of Supreme Scream. So yeah, that's cool. Eventually, this sound goes off and we drop, but.... the drop is bad. I mean, it's so freaking slow, I'm not kidding. For god sakes, this thing only goes 45 MPH. I mean, it's pleasant. But THIS IS A DROP TOWER! IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE SCARY! This doesn't even give the feeling like I'm falling. Now we actually get to rise up again and bounce up and down like Maliboomer did when it was at Disneyland, but that DOESN'T EVEN HELP SINCE THERE'S NO AIRTIME! IT'S STILL POINTLESS! Eventually, we drop back to the bottom. This had got to be one of the worst drop towers ever made. It's stupid, it's not fast, it's not intense, there's no airtime, and it's SUPER dull. It's not an awful ride and I don't mind re-riding it, but man size really doesn't mean anything on this thing. It's JUST SOOOO SLOW. To be fair, I have ridden quite a few drop towers so I might be somewhat spoiled here, but from my experience, it's not a very good ride. I'd only ride this thing if the line isn't that long or if you've never ridden an S&S Turbo Drop before, otherwise, SKIP IT! I love this ride! It's not the most intense drop tower (ride Lex Luthor at Magic Mountain for that) but the view is spectacular. It's also super smooth. You feel light as a feather bouncing up and down. It's super re-rideable and the line is always short. It's funny because people seem to be terrified of this ride but the truth is that it's one of the least intense rides at Knott's. It's just the height that scares people. I highly recommend night rides. Lex Luthor might be more intense but this one is arguably more fun. read more

OMG this was waaaay higher than I thought it was. When you look up at it from the ground and then go all the way up, you realize too late what you got yourself into! The first drop is the longest, then the second and third ones get shorter...I believe it's all the same, not a bunch of random drops. read more

Where to start with this ride? The scariness does not come from the drop yet from the suspense of going up and seeing the height that you were at. And then on top of that to hear the sound of the hydraulic system go out just before the drop but the drop is the fun part of the ride I love the butterfly feeling in your stomach over freefall. This is my favorite thrill ride in Knotts. I was shaking with fear when we hit the top, and I heard them letting go of the hydraulic breaks. I screamed the whole time and was shaky from adrenaline afterwards. This did not stop me from turning around and going right back on. I don't know how much longer I can stomach rides like this, but it is a must do for people who love the dropping sensation. read more

It was the funnest ****** thing ever....And yes I was scared!!! I was scared in line...when I buckled myself down to those seats... and especially when it slowly climbed its way to the top....the view of knots berry farm was incredible... There's a delicious moment of suspense right when it stops climbing and prepares to drop.....and you cant even scream properly...because its dropping so fast....and then after the initial long drop it does shorter drops...gradually. Then when it's over... And you wanna get right back in line! I swear... totally worth feeling like a baby! read more
